The Frey Saga Book II: Pieces of Eight by Melissa Wright Book Summary

Nowhere to turn.

The story of Frey continues in this, the second book of the series.

Frey had lived in a world where humans were fairy tales. A world where she believed she'd been wrongfully accused.

All that had changed.

After revealing her dark history, Frey has no choice in her allies. Her old life is the enemy. She needs their protection.

Forced to join with a group of strangers whose pasts seem to intertwine with her own, she struggles to regain her memories and her full power, only to find there is more danger on the other side.

Except now, there is no going back.

The Frey saga book 11. Pieces of eight. The book was great. I had it on my i pad, only problem was I didn't get the last page,so I have no ending. Someone want to tell me the end.

Not good so far. I thought number 1 was bad but book 2 is wires. The book is hard to follow, feels dragged, a whole bunch of nothing I can’t connect because the main character is in the dark. The fainting spell is so stupid to me & I hate how it’s only her point of view. I want to like the book but I don’t know if I’ll waste my money on the rest

Horay for non convention. A welcome break from the standard fantasy set. Well done story that keeps the action but loses some of the well worn stereotypes of fantasy. Yeah well worth the time.

Un put downable. I loved this second installment of the Frey saga and I can’t wait to read the next

Awful. This writer has the main character passing out and a weakling. The book tells no story. Constantly repetitive & sentence structure is sad.

cool. i like this book it was intertainging i probaly liked it because im into all that magic stuff and if u r to then buy it

Grey. Great!!! Loved it.

Dull. It’s drags and drags going nowhere

Awesome!. I love the characters. It had me on the edge of my seat.

Pieces of eight .. Held my attention all the way throughout its travel. Made as if I was there thanks

Not good at all 1st one is way better. Boring book. Don't buy. Trust me no bueno.

Good. I liked this book even more than the first great author!

Weak. I’m sorry, I just can finish this book. I thought I could muscle through it but I’m so incredibly tired of the weak main character who can’t seem to handle any sort of stress whatsoever. She passes out almost every other page. Just get your memories back already and move on instead of quivering in fear and confusion all the dang time.

Frustrating. The beginning is so long, it’s basically Freya constantly weak and fainting which I find stupid because in the first book she had no problem. You read the whole book for the last chapter to have it rushed so fast.

Great!. Quick easy read that keeps you hooked.

Great read. Book 1 had me hooked, great characters easy to relate to, couldn't put it down

This fantasy is unreal!!!!. What a fantastic job you have done with this Second book. Great read if u like magic and elves, much like lord of the rings setting this has a twist at every page and I love it!

Wish I hadn’t paid for book 2. I read the first book, seemed like it might have been interesting. Book 2 is dragged out and frankly boring, the main character is weak minded and spends most of her time asleep, and she has no problem with her “guard” (who’s characters are under developed and vague) leading her on pointless journeys and are too scared to tell her about her forgotten past because she blacks out at the slightest notion of stress, and also have been mindlessly killing anything that comes near them, including any animals near because of her families “gift”. And then to top it off the big cats she tasked with guarding her castle when they’re no longer convenient she magically snaps their necks... and that’s where I stopped reading. Yeah, boring abhorrent characters don’t make for a great read frankly! Wish I hadn’t paid for book 2.
