Great read. Finally I found a new author to read. I enjoy all romance from passionate to extra erotic. This was a complete read with fun an full characters. This wonderful erotic tale was enjoyable to read. I just love a HEA ending with erotica mixed in. Can't wait to read Gayle Callaway's next book.

Her husbands harlot. This was my first book from this author and I loved it, the characters are good the story was good and the romance and sex hot! I love series so on to the next book in this one!

Great book!. If you have ever read Skye OMalley by Bertrice Small you will appreciate this book. I hadn't read a historical romance quite like Skye OMalley until now. Great book! I would definitely recommend this book if you don't mind the historical side of it! 👍👍

Husbands harlot. Mostly sex word by word, part by part, step by step

I've never liked historical but.... One of the best historical novels I have read. Yeah the scenes are a little intense but there are definitely more crude scenes in other novels. At least these scenes reveal love and go with the story line.

Great. This was one of the best historical novels for me as well. I was not ever bored, everything made sense and I was really drawn to both of them. What a beautiful story and brilliant author.

One of the best!. I'd never read anything by this author but now I want to read all of her books! Extremely well written and the plot moved along. Yes, the sex scenes are indeed steamy, but nothing I would dub "weird" or "crude."

Disappointing. It started off fine then in the middle the author introduced a disturbing subject regarding children. Sometimes authors throw so many details into a book it’s just too much. I finished the book but won’t read any more by this author. This was supposed to be a sexy romance introducing the abuse of children was disturbing especially when it was so unexpected.

Bleh. Story line not very good. At times seemed to be moving along than had a disappointing result.

3 and a 1/2 stars. I enjoyed this read but I feel as though I didn't connect with the characters very well. Otherwise well written and had a nice storyline. However some things were unanswered such as the problems going on with Marianne and such. Good read!!

Love and Knowledge. An interesting story with action, mystery and romance . It is well written but my only complaint is that I do not appreciate reading so much about sex as using my imagination instead. Not my type of book!

Wonderful historical romance!. This story is a tale of two people innately drawn to each other but will major demons of their own. It is erotic, romantic, and has lots of twists and turns. Great characters and well written!

More then just erotica. So…admittedly when I first read this I could get past first 5 pages. You get hit with sex off the back and all a little too much for me BUT after I stopped and went back weeks later I got past first chapter and so worth it. Passionate. Everything you could want in a historical erotic romance. And I mean erotic. So many books leave you hanging and thinking that was all? Not this one. Great book . Can't wait to read her others.

Less harlot, more chaos. This book was a strange mix. You had a little mystery, very little romance, odd and numerous characters popping in and out, and sooo much dialogue happening in the heads of the characters. The story zig zagged all over the place and there was so much back and forth. Made it way too long.

Little Crude. This book should be labelled as erotica. I am a fan of historical romance, but this is not "romance." The sex scenes themselves are not "eloquent" and some of them are not vanilla and weirded me out. The plot itself is intriguing but slow, mostly because of the large amount of sex scenes. The characters are not terribly well developed as they are defined primarily by their sexual interests and activities (but as I said earlier this is erotica).

Tension filled. The tension between the characters is almost unbearable and the denouement is perfect. Great introduction to Marianne and Ambrose, Percy and Paul.
