A Little Princess. I watched the cartoon movie translated into our language years ago. It’s a nice story. On the movie, Sara’s met his father towards the end, he was not dead afterall, but on the book the end was Sara went with the Indian guy. It was fine.

Amazing. That was one of the best books I have ever read it made me laugh and cry if you love to read I recommend this book to you .

Beautiful Story. I really loved this story. There is so much hatred in the world and in the hearts of people and at a young age Sara was exposed to such treachery. Doing the hardest thing possible she remind true to herself. The hardest thing to do in the face of adversity is not to break, and Sara provided us with hope that will keep us from breaking in the face of adversity so easily.

My favorite book ever. The story that revolves around the queer and wonderful Sara Crewe is a timeless tale that will beloved for generations. One cannot help but believe in the magic of imagination as the story unravels. Burnet also writes the story in a way that has the reader feel quite many emotions through the book such as hope, fear, despair, happiness and more. Yet, A Little Princess could not be the novel it is without it wonderfully added dramatic irony, that keeps the reader exasperated throughout the plot. Overall this is a great read of perseverance which everyone should read. I for one have read to many times to count.

I found this book to be a reminder to me that there are sill those who are cold and hungry and have no place to call their own this book is a constant reminder that miracles can and will happen but when we may not know the answers to all the questions but we must all have hope, faith, and trust that god will send the help that is needed when it is truly needed and that there are those who are kind and caring people who do and will help when it is necessary... My only hope is that the world will once again get it's people out of their sad and lonely states ... I know that there are kind and giving people in the world all they need do is pray, hope, and wish for the people who are homeless,jobless and hungry...

The Little Princess. As much as I've always enjoyed the Shirley Temple movie, it seemed so simply solved. The book itself is more complicated. Hodges really shows the strength...and necessity of imagination to those of us trying to get through difficult times.

Too robotic. This book doesn’t give a real image of children because Sara is way to perfect and does no wrong and that makes her seem like a fake person because not even an adult can be that perfect and Sara only made one mistake in her life when she was too proud to make friends with the other girls.

Memories. When I was little my mom and I used to watch the movie nonstop but when I got older I found out there was a book and I had to find it now I have it in hand in case I left the book at home!!! This is an amazing classic that in my opinion never gets old. LOVE IT❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It's worth it. This is a book worth reading, trust me. I am not such a big fan of reading I am more of a fan of procrastinating, but this book really made want to read and read more, I guess in a way it gives you hope. I would seriously recommend this book. This book inspired me to read more

A Little Princess; being the whole story of Sara Crewe now told for the first.... My nine year old daughter and fifty five year old husband both listened happily and with interest as I read this book aloud on a long car trip. Both had seen the Shirley Temple movie. They said this original version was much better!

Very Good but Disturbing. I love Frances Hodgson Burnett’s writing style. I think Little Lord Fauntleroy is my favorite, but this is very good too. They label this as a children’s book but it is such a heavy subject matter (child abuse). Ms. Burnett doesn’t sugar coat the abuse. Our heroine is verbally abused, hit, starved, frozen, and worked to exhaustion. Miss Minchin needs to go to jail. I know it’s a different day but surely people knew right from wrong in those days. I am so glad that the story ends on a good note, but really, Miss Minchin needs her comeuppance.

This is the book I have for school!!!!. I am reading this book at school so I can read this for school and be on my iPad so if I leave the book at school I won't worry

Lovely story. I absolutely love stories set in Ireland or old England. The story is told well enough to be believable, to draw one in to captivate.

A Little Princess. This book is one of my "comfort food" books, a favorite from childhood that I never tire of reading. Sara Crewe is impossibly good, Miss Minchin implausibly mean-spirited, yet the story of how Sara triumphs over difficult circumstances through her determination to be a princess on the inside regardless of her hunger, overwork, and shabby dress is always inspiring and has never grown old to me.

Very cute but. A very cute book, but I felt the need to change it a bit as I read it to my 8yr old. Skipping the parts about Ermguard(sp?) being stupid and fat. Or wishing she were as thin as Sarah (when in fact Sarah was not being fed enough). It seemed to end abruptly too. Almost like a chapter was missing.

Awesome book!...nothing like the movies.. This book is great! Normally I wouldnt read books like this or even think about reading them. To me all these classics we better off as movies (except for Dracula...that was a good book) before I decided to give this one a chance. I have only praise and admiration for this book and little Sara Crewe. Last but not least....this book was NOTHING like the movie staring Shirley temple. Or any other of the versions for that matter.....it's better. My advice READ IT!!!....it's worth it!!!!!

Good Book. I liked this book. Sara is a real princess.

Childhood. I got the illustrated classic version from my sister, who also loved it, for Christmas when I was 7. I found myself finishing it in less than a day. This book was an important part of my childhood. It taught me to hold my head high in the darkest times be kind and hopeful, and always think of the less fortunate.

A Little Princess. This is one of my favourite books of all time. It's a must read!

A little princess. Sarah crewe was at a boarding school for girls called miss minchins and she was the richest girl there. All the little girls love her and even some of the big girls. But then her father dies and even though all his money was meant to go to Sarah all of it goes missing. Sarah has no money to carry on being a student at the boarding school so she becomes a maid to earn money. Later on the Indian man who lives next door to miss minchins boarding school comes to visit and then meets Sarah crewe. When he finds out who she is he exclaims that he has been looking for her for 2years. At the end of the book the Indian man and Sarah leave the boarding school in a carriage

REVIEW. I absolutely loved this book! One of the best books I've read so far . There is a mix of fate, coincidences and the struggles of real life for a vulnerable child being misused and cruelty treated . The little princess called Sara makes us readers feel so empathetic for her as the cruel headmistress is a cruel and pitiful gold digger and regretlessly uses her for her wealth . Happily Sara gets to live her life with her best friend by her side and her deceased fathers old chum . Definitely recommend this fabulous book for anyone who enjoys reading fiction involving real life struggle but with a happily ever after !
