Awesome. Great book

Worth the time. I turned two finger swipe on and had Siri read it to me. Going to do this one again and often! It leaves you feeling practical, or a sense of resolution. I came away with a sense, "oh, yeah - that's how life really works," and "boy I had a few things wrong." Emphasizes the need to factor the self interest of others.

Aesop's Fables. This must be the most complete version of Aesop's fables available in the English language. It is not the prettiest version, not the most modern version, but is full of ideas and stories that people have shared for thousands of years. These stories are meant to be spoken aloud and discussed, as they were before the invention of writing. They are more interesting when you share them -- act them out, tell them around a campfire A good read and full of sayings which you still might hear, or are still referenced in literature today, although the language is a little outdated.

Good. That was very good, but why'd glitch from 203 pages to about 254 pages????

Just spectacular. First time ever reading this little book of fables. The wisdom found here is priceless. From life lessons, to weddings advices, to financial insights, just an amazing book.

Aesop's clever fables. Intelligent, clever, good advices! Although written in ' old-english style' I couldn't stop laughing on the smartness of some fables.

A MUST READ. Asoep's fables is a must read. When I first got it I was hesitant to read it because I thought it would be written in Old English but it had a charm to it that made me relax. I absolutely recommend it.

Interesting stories.. Interesting stories. I liked the morals to the stories.

Heracles or Hercules?. Great book! In the short story "The Lion and the Statue", is the statue not to be referred to as one of "Heracles" instead of "Hercules"? I may be wrong on this, but Aesop was an Ancient Greek, so wouldn't he be familiar with the hero to the name of "Heracles"? I believe the Roman's changed the name to "Hercules" afterwards. Anyway, that's my logic. Excellent compilation of Aesop's fables!

Well written and easily readable. Good book for those who are learning English as a second language. I chose this book because it was free, but the book was worth much more. Short but interesting stories are very entertaining.

Interesting. It was nice to be able to finally read these. Although they are interesting, they are not as profound as I was expecting.

Aesop’s fables. Amazing book…. I highly recommend. This is a lovely book full to the brim with wise and witty tales by Aesop. If he was alive today, I would give him a pat on the back for all of his amazing pieces of literature. If you are suggesting/thinking about getting this book then it is the exact opposite of tedious and mundane… My rating: 😄👍😄👍😄👍😄

Wisdom that has weathered the course of time. Excellent!. Both my children and I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Its thought provoking stories helped produce interesting discussion amongst us as to what the moral of each tale meant both back when the fables were written and for us now in today's modern era. Highly recommended.
