An American Icon. Written and Spoken by one of the Greatest Americans in Human history, this address is a must-see by anyone who is dedicated or interested in learning either American History, Civil War-era History, or the History of Abraham Lincoln.

Retired National Guardsman / Business Owner. As Americans, we need to know what our nation stands for and constantly work towards those values that our founding fathers set as a standard for The United States of America.

Gettysburg Address. So that we shall not forget

Address. All it is is the address it does Not!!! Read to you.

Book review. This book has a lot of history and love!! I advise other people to read it!!

Ever Emotional. I have read Lincoln's address at Gettysburg so many times since I was a child. Having to memorize it in school was an understandable task, yet when challenged as a grade school student to perform the address one just didn't grasp the true meaning of these simple but profound words. As we got older and were able to learn the significance of the U.S. Civil War only did one really start to learn the true meaning. Having this available on my iPad allows me to stay in tune with the past and the importance of what so many people have sacrificed for the freedoms we have as Americans. Americans have fought so many important battles to gain and continue our freedoms and we continue that great course for the nation as evidenced by our valiant forces in our military today. Reading the Gettysburg Address periodically is well worth our time.

A short speech to long remember. Healing words shared at a critical time at a significant place by Mr. Lincoln illuminate the ongoing nature of human struggle for liberty.

Good. Oerefect

Classic Lincoln. “The world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here...” Excerpt From: Lincoln, Abraham. “Gettysburg Address.”

Gettysburg Address. I read this after taking a tour of the Antietam battlefield not far from Gettysburg. The meaning and relevance of this speech for today became very clear. We should read it more often.

Excellente. Something like this should be taught in all the schools throughout our nation as well as memorize it.

Five Stars. So moving. Things like this got out country going!! 😄

Great. One of the greatest speeches

Amazing, Engaging, Book for Nerds Like Me. I love this book! ❤️ 📖 I’m a Lincoln-Nerd, I talked about/used him for my biography report, my speech report, and my act for the talent show. I’m also a book nerd! I annoy my friends by saying this too! Lol I learned how to say this much today: Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth upon this continent a new nation: conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that this nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate we cannot consecrate we cannot hallow that ground. (I did not copy paste) -Alex

Lincoln. I think every American should read it, or at least understand what it means. Lincoln was one of the greatest Presidents this country might have seen, how good, no one will know. That's why it's important for every American to understand what it means.

Where's the beef?. The meat of the address isn't there. What's the deal?

Abe. So short in terms of word length. But so long in terms of meaning and history.

Remembrance. What a powerful reminder for those of us living today!

Good!. This is a really good speech! Everyone should read this! It is only about 3 pages long. Even if you don't download it..find this speech and READ IT!

TRUE GREATNESS IN SPEECH. A truly great leader, who sacrificed his entire life for our country. He had to make some of the most onerous decisions in our country's history. He made them with dignity, honor, and truthfulness. President Obama could learn prudence from Lincoln, an undying legend.

Real speech. Most accurate

Gettysburg. Xlnt to have at hand!

Wow.... That was amazing. Learning about Abe is cool, but reading his speech was incredible. Nice job Abe rest in peace...

Schagene. The Gettysburg address is a powerful book four score.

We Remember What Happened. Abraham Lincoln beautifully constructed this short speech for the founding of the Gettysburg Military Cemetery. In it he says that we wouldn’t remember his small speech on that November day, but we remember the Gettysburg Address as one of the most important speeches ever spoken in American history. He explains why the soldiers gave their lives and why that is the most powerful devotion to their republic. He also reassures the entire nation that their freedom-loving union would not fall, but stay together. This speech will always be remembered in U.S. history.

What I thought of the Gettysburg address. When I read this book it made me feel good about myself and I remember learning about Abraham Lincoln in school but I didn't thank only myself but my teachers and my friends and family to
