Outstanding !!!!. The book was good ; well written and a page turner

The Racketeer. This is by far one of John Grisham's best books written. It is a great self-proclaimed total work of fiction genius. About the only thing that's true in this book are the names of the cities and towns. If you hate the federal government's judicial system, you'll love the main character in this book and what they do. If only we all could dupe the FBI. I could not put the book down.

Boring. Don’t bother. Bad read. Too predictable and too much filler. Endless paragraphs that provide nothing to story

So good, I have read it FIVE times!. No kidding. I loved this story to death. A guy screwed by the government gets unbelievable revenge. The plot is great. You keep wondering where it is going, and that creates suspense. It is also a very creative story, with a fun outcome. Worth your time and money. A very enjoyable read. A true masterpiece by Grisham

Interesting Story. Not a typical Grisham lawyer book. I enjoyed the plot development and twists.

Riveting!. Having read many Grisham novels, I must say this is one of the best. The plot swirls around with little hints here and there. It is riveting to the last word.

Good beach read. By the writers own admission it did strain possibility just a bit. Still worthwhile. I just wish I was at the beach!

The Racketeer. This is yet another nice read,,way to stick it to the man.

Disappointing. I miss the J. Grisham of old. So many of his newer books read like he had a deadline to meet for a publisher. This one is the same. Boring, not much character development, a step-by-step narration: “and then we did this. And then this happened. And then we reacted like this. So then they did that.” I’m done.

Good read. Some slow and tedious details but the pace finally picks up.

Classic Grisham. If you hate the feds. This books for you.

Easy read. As usual, Grisham’s book is a easy light read. The series of events is highly improbable, but the book was entertaining in a humorous way.

True masterpiece. I enjoyed the book immensely, it is one of my favorite Grisham books. Like he always does, he carried it along beautifully throughout, and nocked you off your feet for a total unexpected ending. The pages just turn themselves.

Page-turner. Grisham hits another bases-loaded home run. Very good story.

My favorite so far. I’ve just recently discovered John Grisham so this is probably my 10th book of his and it’s easily been my favorite thus far. You really don’t know what’s coming or how it’s going to end and that’s the best part. I also love how he finishes his stories with the same energy he starts them, instead of just wrapping it up in a couple of pages and leaving tons of unanswered questions like a lot of writers tend to do.

Took me awhile to get into it, but ends up really good!. The first few chapters were really slow going. I wasn’t excited about reading it, like so many other books I’ve read. As the story progresses though, it gets more and more interesting.

The Racketeer. It was fun & I laughed but I no longer look to this author for serious fiction. If you are looking for a book to keep you involved past a 30 minute sit com look elsewhere.

The Racketeer. Very predictable and Grisham uses over description to fill up pages to make the story longer as if like old backwoods farmers we are buying books. Read it if must read every thing this author dumps on the market. Me I'm quite disappointed as I have been a big fan.

entertaining. 3.5 stars Malcolm is very smart. I really liked how he worked everything out. I did figure a lot of what was happening out ahead of time and feel that some of the people he tricked should have been a little quicker on the uptake. Definitely entertaining.

Not the best...... Missing the courtroom drama and what not still a decent read though good to kill a couple hours with...

This was fun!. Grisham always has me page turning late into the night. The Racketeer was no different & left me wishing at the end I could change places with Malcolm!

Good stuff. Formulaic, but a fun page turner

A fun read!. No courtroom drama and certainly not a typical Grisham tale. So many twists and turns that it took a while to realize I was reading a complex sting.

Another good one. I had a hard time putting this one down. The characters take so many risks that you just have to read “a few more pages” to see what will happen. A good yarn, with an original plot, and several good twists.

Entertaining. Nice to see Grisham stray from the courtroom a bit with this one. Admittedly far fetched fiction, but you get what you expect from him - an entertaining easy read.

Political comments. Good. As usual. But Grisham should leave out the field of far-right political comments: this seems totally out-of-place in this easy beach reading.

Not so much. A little too predictable and the self-righteousness is a little tiring

Great book. An amazing read. It just goes on and on, very hard to let go. Addicting and fun to read. Should definetley make a movie.

Lazy writing. At the end of this book, Grisham refers to himself as a lazy writer, and that is how this book reads.

lazy. In his author's notes, he refers to "the laziest of authors" and must be talking about himself...this one was an unremarkable bland and otherwise forgettable time waster when compared to other spellbinding works of art from John Grisham...not worth the effort of turning the pages.

The master has proven himself once again. The master of suspense is at it again. I could have betted on a different ending. The suspense was thrilling. I will definitely read this again! John Grisham
