One word disappointing. Have read all his books. Love the Sigma series. This one just got too weird. Turns out just another good vampires versus bad vampires. Only character I liked was the grim wolf. Could barely finish it.

The Blood Gosple. Run, run, fight, fight, monster, monster, strange person from the past. And another dead person is alive and well. This book started with great interest but then moved to the chase-and-fight mode over and over.

Blood Gospel. The ending sucked.

The Blood Gospel. This is the first James Rollins book that I have struggled to finish reading. I have read all of his books and anxiously looked forward to the release of The Blood Gospel. Blasphemous is the only word that I can think of to describe it. Extremely disappointed.

TBG. James Rollins has yet to disappoint with any book I have read. TBG is a slightly different take on Mr Rollins style which is not surprising due to his co-author. I read this book in less than 24 hrs because I was unable to put it down. Can't wait for the next book in this series! **After reading a previous ibook review I would like to remind everyone that James Rollins writes FICTION. He clearly states that & his books are marketed as such. I am a believer but was not offended by this work of fiction nor did I see any reason I should be offended. That is my personal opinion. I happen to be a fan of Mr Rollins fictional action / adventure / suspense books & hope that he writes many many more!

Pretty Dissappointing. I'm typically very fond of the Sigma Force novels, especially since they weave in history and science along with fast paced story telling. Blood Gospel just goes too far off the reality track for me and the ending is rather anticlimactic. Trying to tie in what is currently popular on the CW as a core component of Christianity edges on insult despite being a fictitious escape. And I could have totally gone without the romance angle entirely. James Rollins has done far better work.

Lame. Maybe the worst ending of the hundreds of books I've read. The last page should read... To be continued.

Nice. Great read! Love the new characters can't wait for the next book in this story....

Blood Gospel. No paperback is worth that price.. If there were 3 co-authors would the price be $8 more. Get real.

Great read. Was not what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised!

Not what you think from this author. Beware. I have loved all Rollins books, but not this one. I didn't think he'd jump on the vampire wagon. The action was good, btw good and evil, literally. But I can only suspend belief just so far. This taxed that ability. If I purchased this at a brick and mortar store, I'd return it. If I could get my money back, I would.

I love it!. I was so tired of Sigma Force that I stopped reading James Rollins for awhile. I really enjoyed this new book and can't wait to read Innicent Blood. Keep them coming!

Blood Gospel. Good book. Entertaining. And predictably James Rollins.

Huh..... Not really into vampires but purchased because of the interesting references to biblical history. That being said, to the uneducated reader could easily be confused what parts are truth and others fiction airing on the side of blasphemy. There is a reoccurring predictable chain of events where the central characters go from calamity to calamity squeezing out of death defying event to the next impossible set of circumstances with success. The ending seem to be cut short and was unresolved and disappointing what only can be concluded to be explained in the authors book to follow. Perhaps the dedication to Anne Rice in the front to the book should have been a tip off for me. Huh....

Not his usual work. I love Rollins' books....loved sigma series.... This books ending was horrible.... Too many unanswered questions...they introduced characters in the last pages and didn't elaborate....I am hoping this is the first of a series so we can get answers.....I did enjoy his elaborate weave of science, religion, and myth.....I do realize this was a collaboration and Rebecca has her hand in this too, this is her first novel I ever read so can't really judge there.....

The Blood Gospel. I have never read one of Rollins book until I bought it one day, it was the unexpected that caught my attention and the suspense kept me reading until the very end. It's a book that I recommend to my friends if they want a good suspense book.

Loved it. Great storyline would make a good movie. Loved the characters hope a sequel is on the way

Excellent. This book was an adventure to read. The action was sporadic and it left the ending open but I loved the book. This was my first thriller and I need more.

The Blood gospel. I'm going to be honest- I really want to like this book but I just can't. I've always enjoys James Rollins books but this one is just to over dramatic and off the wall. As a Christian it feels a little awkward reading it, and I honestly doubt I'll even finish it. I'm really disappointed because I've always loved his books! Before buying I'd suggest checking it out at the library, and seeing if it's for you.

Geaux tigers. Love all James Rollins's books. Blood Gospel was unexpected but in the end he didn't disappoint. He definitely walked a very fine line with this one, and a few times I was afraid he would cross that line but he some how didn't.

Bleh. I have read many of James novels and have enjoyed the mall this one. I like his books because they are thought-provoking and push the envelope on science religion and history. Unfortunately this one pushes right through the envelope. Spoiler alert it's just a vampire novel. Historical characters like Rasputin and Biblical characters Lazarus are semi vampires. Lots of female hearts beating fast and pulses quickening. Rollins first collaboration And hopefully his last. I struggled through it just because I paid for it.

Blood gospel. Great, suspenseful book, kept me interested and guessing till the end.

The Blood Gospel. I have been a big fan of James Rollins. That was the main reason I read this book. I am not a fan of vampire stories, at least not in novels. I am always very frugal about books I buy... I always read the entire book. This was a challenge. I was disappointed that the vampires dominated the story and threw in the element of unbelievable nonsense. I was reared a Roman Catholic and found the numerous references to that church interesting. However, the vampire stuff is just ridiculous. The doctrine of "transubstantiation" is, in my opinion, a silly way the church used to control its followers. To use it in the context of vampirism is a sad perversion of what the early church did by creating this silliness. I hate to say this, but I will take extreme care in reviewing any other books by James Rollins before I am fooled into another purchase. My hope is that the partnership in authorship is the reason for this crazy story. If you like James Rollins' previous books, don't be fooled into assuming this is another... it's a major digression. I would not have bought this if I had realized the nature of the story.

Intriguing but ultimately disappointing. I'm a huge fan of James Rollins and have enjoyed several of his books but I was wary of reading a book that had a co-author. The Blood Gospel had many obvious influences from both Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell. But I didn't feel like Cantrell's contributions added much to Rollins' usual action packed historically influenced stories. She added more adjectives and the strange non-romance between two characters. But the lack of romance between Rollins characters in his other books is something I appreciated. He never fell into that Hollywood attitude that anytime a man and a woman are near each other a romance must ensue. The story itself is fast paced and intriguing but the end disappointed me. It feels dishonest when a book concludes so open-ended that the reader must buy the next book in order to get the whole story. Characters and subplots were introduced and never followed up on to the point of providing answers. And after all the strife and violence the main characters went through to only be told they hadn't actually achieved their goal felt like an ABC Family tv show for teenagers that never solves a problem so we will keep coming back. I think I will stick to James Rollins books where he is the sole author from now on.

What is there to expect???. It was a typical James Rollins thriller. What more could you ask for. Great read, not too wordy and not lacking in depth. Great read!

blood gospel. I've always enjoyed James Rollins books. This one is terrible, couldn't even finish it. Obviously a bean counter's marketing move. Why sell your soul when you've been doing pretty good up until now?

Not great. Verisimilitude totally lacking. Jerky action. Preposterous story line and no resolution. Denouement is not in the authors' vocabulary.

Disappointed. Very disappointed with this book. I love James Rollins books but this one was not the quality that he usually writes. I will be very careful what books I buy from now on. I can honestly write that this is the first book I've read of his I did not enjoy and I've read them all.

Awesome read. Great book, moved well and did not let you put it down. Look forward to the next.

Not even worth a star. I will never read a co author book by the two of you again, it read like a cheap fowl smelling gutter novel. I expected more from Mr Rollins. Stick to what you know Sigma novels!

Good. Certainly not as good as Map of Bones but nonetheless still very good. If you like James Rollins then you should enjoy this book!

Blood Gospel. The authors had me captivated from the first page. Incredible twists and turns that kept me wanting more.....I want more. Bring on the next in the series.
