Proof of Heaven. Really made me think if there really is life after death. Written by a fine doctor who truly had a life changing experience. I would highly recommend it.

False Advertisement. This has to be the worst book I've read this year. No where in this book he fully explains his experience in heaven. He goes on to say he could never describe it in words, so why write a book about it? Don't waste your time purchasing this book.

Just like the bible..... This book has nothing factual to back it up. The condition the author was in during all this dreaming isn't consistent either. At the start of the book he insinuates that he's brain dead but then later in the book he downgrades his condition. If you want facts pick up a science book, if you want to know how the author meets his wife and the hearsay that went on when he was laying in his semi coma state then this is the book for you. I couldn't finish the book

Proof Of Heaven. This books just confirm My beliefs of after life and how we need to prepare spiritually for our next life. I love the book and the way is written.

It's worth a read. Like others who've reviewed the book, I would have liked more detail on Dr. Alexander's experience beyond and perhaps less on the subplot that was his family's experience as he lay in a coma. However, I understand he's working on a follow up text. I look forward to the further detail I expect will be found within.

Complex. Great book! From a scientist and neurosurgeons point of view about his NDE. Complex reading lots of scientific terms too much in some chapters. But overall left me feeling excited about the future!

Thought provoking. I enjoyed this book. It's a quick read that feels a little stretched out but understandably so because there are just no words to describe the experience this man has gone through. I loved that this particular doctor is connecting science and spirituality-that they can coexist. It was a great read and definitely thought provoking.

Proof of heaven. Very egocentric and boring!

You really do deserve it!. Wow! What I would have given to have had access to this book early in my business career. Secretly I never really felt fully worthy of my success and it kept me from excelling until I figured this out. Once you understand your value to the world, everything becomes easy and fun. This is the first and only book I’ve ever seen on this subject and it’s excellent. Read Josh’s book and save yourself from a life of mediocrity.

Great story but.... This is an amazing story made even more amazing because of who Dr. Alexander is. The only negative I have is that some of the book is "neuro-sciency" and a little difficult to follow. Some of times I feel as though I'm reading one very long run on sentence as parts are redundant. All-in-all a great story and I'll be recommending this book to friends.

Real. If there ever was a book besides the Bible that spoke most eloquently and convincingly about the real existence of a spiritual realm; it is most certainly this one!!!

Proof of Heaven - Mixed feelings!. I loved the book and read it in 2 days and I am NOT a reader! I enjoyed it and I believe everything he wrote, however, I was expecting detailed account of him being in heaven and honestly, he gives very little details about heaven. Each chapter that he writes about heaven, he refers to 3 “levels” of heaven, a Realm of Earthworm’s Eye View, flying into a butterfly’s wing ( Gateway) and The Core that he felt was god. He would leave the core and go back to the Earthworm’s Eye View and then the gateway and then the Core...over and over? The book goes into a lot of detail about these 3 levels he experienced, but nothing about actual heaven. He said when flying on the butterfly’s wings he would be over beautiful fields, children running and playing, etc. But he never walks in the fields, meets or speaks to the kids playing, etc. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great read, but instead of feeling I’ve learned more about heaven, I’m was left with way more questions than anything.

Inspirational. The author speaks from a very authentic place in his heart, demonstrating that god & science don't contradict one another. I was in pure bliss taking his journey with him to heaven. He was able to put into words the way I've always felt in my heart that god & heaven are. Fabulous!

Comforting. A well written, well documented book and is very comforting to know more about the probable unknown afterlife . I read through the entire book fairly quickly as my own brother was hooked up to life support while in a coma. He passed away days later and having read this book gave me some comfort to know that he was in a better place. This book has changed my life and perspective about spiritual matters. Thank you Dr Eben Alexander for the courage to share your experience with the world in a very meaningful way regardless of the potential for the inevitable narrow minded criticism from science and organized religions.

Too much medical terminology. I have read numerous books on NDE's but this by far was the most boring and I had waited so long to read it. It had way too much medical terminology in it for me and I found those parts very boring. I was very disappointed.

EXTRAORDINARY!. This a very, VERY powerful book!

A gift for all who seek it; a necessity for all who need it. Dr. Eben Alexander's account and effort to convey his experience in the utmost honesty and truth goes far beyond me wanting to "recommend it to a friend." On completing Proof of Heaven, I am left feeling both peaceful and manic: peaceful in a sense because of the clarity Dr. A was able to instill, convey, describe. Manic in relation to me wanting to act as a newspaper delivery boy by leaving a copy on each and every doorstep that exists. My recent (May 2013) experience with losing a loved one unexpectedly and trying to cope with all the entanglements that have conspired is something that I still don't know how I have gotten through thus far. My own blue and black butterfly came to me exactly 3 weeks after her death. Since then I have been blessed to witness countless butterfly crossings, along with many other affirming gifts of hope. As it is now reaching two months, three weeks, and four days since her shocking passing, I am beginning to find myself in a state of acceptance and somehow innate understanding that everything will somehow be okay. Proof of Heaven is helping me REALize this.

Love it!. I loved this book so much! I learned so many things about Heaven and God and it explained a lot of what I was taught in church that I didn't understand too well. I also got a good Science Education! I highly recommend this book!

Proof of Heaven. Boring and poorly written. Certainly not believable with his "earthworms eye view...,the core etc." Reads more like a bad Sci Fi.

Proof of Heaven. A man of medicine, whose life, education, career and decisions are based in science had a life altering experience! Lucky to have survived, he shares his story of journeying outside this physical world and experiencing a glimpse of the after life promised us! He conveys his experience with a sense of amazement and He humbly, yet with the urgency and excitement of a child, tells the story of his NDE and how it profoundly changed his LIFE. It is a wonderful read.

Didn't want to put it down.. Purchased as an ebook, must have seen something on tv about I. Would love to see a picture of the author, read the whole book about this man and his journey would like to put a face with the story. Kept reading every chance I got until I finished. I love books like that, you just want to read more and more.

Important message. This book has a very exciting story to tell and the writer does it very well. Not being a scientist or brain surgeon though I found some parts hard to follow. I still really enjoyed the book though and would recommend especially to someone struggling to believe

Hopeful. I just want to believe that my little sister and my dad were greeted at the doors of heaven and saw all the beautifulness this book describes when they passed on. I want to believe they are in fact in a better place. This book gave me hope.

Positive life changing book!. Dare to read it!

Not the best..... I found that the author’s narcissistic personality disorder made this book really difficult to read. Eben Alexander’s need to be the best at everything nagged at me from the beginning. I found myself being distracted wondering if he really was the surgical genius he makes himself out to be why did he leave Brigham and Women’s. About halfway through when he claims that his near-death experience was much better than everyone else’s I had to stop reading. I just could not take any more. This is a topic that I am very interested in hearing more about. But this author’s need to puff up everything to ten times its natural size made me think that I would learn more from a different book.

An easy yet very interesting insight. Excellent. This book should keep you reading along. The center point of this book concentrates on a doctor who had an after life experience. A doctor who needed proof of heaven... threw science. Buy the book you won't be disappointed.

Not Much Proof. My professional opinion: I honestly think that this guy made the book for his own benefit. Not much detail of heaven. This was book was just another hoax. Plus everything he states that happened that day, witnesses state otherwise.

Proof of Heaven?. I really wanted this book to be good but unfortunately it falls short. Many of his accounts of heaven aren't biblical and as a Christian I believe the bible gives us a blue print of what our eternity with our Savior will be like. This story seems to have been concocted by reading other people's accounts and coming up with a man made story. The realm of the earthworm was the most CONFUSING part. I wish him week and would hope for his sake he isn't lying about a false encounter with the Almighty God.

Proof of Heaven. An excellent read. An extremely well educated and accomplished neurosurgeon has a vivid NDE. The evidence has never been more compelling....God is real and among us. HE used a noted scientist to intricately explain the spiritual. God truly works in mysterious...and miraculous...ways!!

Very enlightening from a creditable source. Don't ask me how, but this book popped up on my iPhone recently. I read the whole thing in two days. I couldn't put it down. I found it believable and it answered many questions. I have a deep interest in NDEs now.

Amazing book. This book made me cry and opened my eyes to a world I ignored.

Ignore the negative reviews. If you remotely believe in life after death, this book does a beautiful job of discouraging doubt. Why is it so hard for us to believe we don’t know everything and not all things can be explained away? I appreciate the message that the author conveys to the reader-we are all loved and we are all connected. I needed to remember that today.

Dissapointed :(. I believe in God, but confess that society has confused me somewhat, and as a human like to hear experiences about our purpose here and the other life..so when I saw this book, I was really excited and open minded to learn more about what is waiting for us.. according to what the author claims to be all about his experience in heaven. It is a nice story and full of love, but I honestely I got dissapointed since it really does not say much of what many of us, I am sure, were thinking was going to say ... Dr. Alexander states he has to let the world know what he experienced in the other life and about our life in earth and in Heaven, but I think he focuses mainly in his moments at the hospital and his lovely family..I feel I am missing a lot here... Now, I saw he is about to publish another book..maybe I am mistaken but It makes me think this is just another bussiness.

An absolutely brilliant read!. Is there life after death? Dr. Alexander says life really starts after death! I have been a meditator for the past 20 years, and what he writes is quite close to what we experience and is written in ancient Indian scriptures... Death is sounding more and more pleasant and something to look forward to... Do yourself a favour, and read this little gem of a book!

Impressive. Proof of Heaven was bought out of sheer curiosity. I just finished and was very surprised at the level of detail in this book. Dr. Alexander's experience in Heaven gives me renewed hope in a world full of doubters of the existence of God and of Heaven. Well done!

Disappointing. The in-between chapters describing his NDE were too drawn out. I found myself skipping through, losing interest. The medical aspect/story also left me wanting. Perhaps my expectations were for a more concrete and less metaphysical recounting of his experience.

Proof of Heaven. Save your money... The worst book ever about the afterlife. The book is filled with everyday dysfunctional home life, but on top of that, the author's own self importance traveling through his NDE gives little credibility. He is saying in short, because he went through an NDE, which he never believed in before, that now he can validate other people's experience. A true insult to anyone who has ever had an NDE or other spiritual experiences. His writing is shallow and ego based.

Proof of heaven. I first heard about this book while watching the Katie Couric show. I lost several members of my family and close friends within a two year period, and was still morning their deaths, when this episode was being aired. After the show, Purchased this book, read it, and loved it. It is very well written. I love reading about life after death, but coming from a scientific mind, it means so much more to me. I have always told my grandson (who has a scientific mind) that science and god go hand in hand. Now I have some special reading for him. I hope this story inspires him to believe that he can have a scientific mind and still believe in Gods creation. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story!

Disappointing. There is a story here, but the author failed miserably to convey it. I’d need to read it 10 times to figure out what he is saying. Terrible use of unfamiliar terms, along with poor writing in general, render the book to be a waste of time.

Proof of Heaven. What an amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed the way it was written and the subject made me want to read until I finished it. I totally believe Dr. Alexander's experience and I am sure it happened so that he could let us know what he felt and saw while under coma. To make us aware that life does not end at death. Dr Jill Bolte Taylor in her book "Stroke of Insight ",describes how she felt after her stroke, how she felt she was part of everything and that we are all one. Amazing. An amazing experience documented in a clear and forthright manner confirming what I have always known to be true. If you are a spiritual person this book is for you. If you are a religious type (Christian) you are in the wrong place unless you are willing to learn some thing new.

Nonsense. Nonsense

A heavenly hope!. For those who wonder about what their own journey toward death may be like will find in this story comforting and a demystification of heaven that can offer hope in hard times.

Sells False Assurances. This book is a wonderful example of propaganda, written with a assurances that not one person can claim other than the author. Never mind that the author uses his occupation to legitimize his points which is completely irrelevant considering that he is a neurosurgeon not a neuroscientist. That would be the equivalent of asking a construction worker to explain to you the complexities of the foundations of hundred story skyscrapers instead of an architect or a physicist. What angers me the most is the book gives people false hope, assurances that can never be proven. Literature should be meant to challenge your view of the world, it should lead to some type of progression and have an aspect of education. And what better to foster progression than doubt? Doubt allows us to challenge our preconceived notions and experience some sort of change. This novel does none of this and that is why it deserves no praise.

Truly fascinating!. I would recommend this book to everyone... It's something which can not be ignored.
