Airel: The Awakening by Aaron Patterson & Christopher White Book Summary

From USA Today and NYT bestselling author Aaron Patterson!

"Move over Twilight! Here comes Aaron Patterson!"
--Joshua Graham, bestselling author of Beyond Justice and Darkroom

"I was surprised by how much I really, really liked this book. I have not jumped on the whole "fallen angel" bandwagon, just as I didn't jump on all of the vampire stories that came out after Twilight. This is not your typical fallen angel story. It is one that has left me breathlessly waiting for the next one in the series. Hurry up please!!!"
--Sandra Stiles

BOOK DESCRIPTION: AIREL is a young adult paranormal story about an angel who falls so eeply in love with a woman that he chooses to fall from heaven to be with her. She gives birth to a daughter in Arabia, 1250BC. The girl is pursued ferociously, relentlessly by an enemy in the deepest darkness.
In present day, Boise, Idaho is just a girl: Airel. She's just your average high school student...who turns out to be anything but average. It's because of who she is, because of her ancestry, because of her lineage. Past and present crash in on each other in the final pages as what has been twisted comes dangerously unraveled.

REVIEWS:
"It takes rare talent for a man to write a novel from a male POV and have it published to great critical and commercial acclaim. But it takes a miracle for that same male, or in this case males, to write a novel from the POV of a teenage girl and have it turn out as incredibly as did the new StoneHouse YA by Aaron Patterson and Chris White, AIREL. From the first sentence, I felt compelled to dive into this young woman's story and just as importantly, I felt like I personally knew her, which means I laughed, stressed and cried right along with her. A beautifully written and crafted fiction about teenage innocence, faith, loss and love. A must read for teens and adults alike."
--Vincent Zandri, International Bestselling Author of The Remains, The Innocent, and Concrete Pearl

"I am happy to say that this novel is one of my favorites of its kind. I never thought I could read a novel like this and be so swept away! I am always willing to try new books, but I usually steer clear of this kind of novel. Not anymore! Not when I can be so engrossed into the character's story, like I was with the beautiful AIREL, that before I know, it's over. I kept turning the pages , wanting to, no-NEEDING, to know what was going to happen next."
--Molly Edwards, Willow Spring, NC

Eh. The plot of this story is pretty cool, but the writing style is a bit off. I just don't think that this author(s) really dove deep into a mind of a girl.

Ariel. Very slow book. No action. The plot takes forever to get to. Boring. I had to force myself to read it.

Great read!. I truly enjoyed this book. I didn't get it when book 2 was included so I can't wait to read that book as well. I should have just bought the box set because it would have probably saved me some money. I know that I will end up buying all 6 books, because I need to know how it ends. Enjoy reading this book about the fight between good and evil. Splendidly written.

Good read. I enjoyed this book, and of course would love to continue reading the others if I can afford to one day. I really like how the authors used the location they're from, as I am from Boise as well, so I could relate to the references on the weather here, and the school. This was and still is a mystery type of read, and the 1st book doesnt cover enough yet, so I am very intrigued!

Some Problems. 1) the time jumps made it hard to get invested. 2) the characters were very judgmental and the book seems to glorify it, which really annoyed me. 3) there is very little story in this download

BAEEEE😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️. I finished this book in three days and just bought the next one😍 I LOVE the series sooooo much😍

Boring. I know this was a labor of love being 1200+ pages. It started out pretty good, but Too much fluff and too much flipping back and fourth between Ariel & Kerios and taking forever to explain have lost my interest. I'm about 400 pages from the end of the book and don't even have the desire to finish it. If I hadn't already read 800 pages I wouldn't bother. I'm hoping it gets good at the end, but I won't hold my breath.

Super bored. Probably won't finish... I hate the "fluff" and it's pretty basic so far. She meets the guy she "loves" in the first few pages and of course describes his sparkly blue eyes the majority of the pages I've read so far. Blah.

Airel. Amazing!!!!

Ariel. The book was not bad but when it came to the flipping back and forth from present day to 2500 B.C. I found myself wanting to skip that part altogether and get to present day again. I did however find out by the end of the second book what the parts I skipped were about. Could have used a little more conversation and a little less description of thoughts and everything around but I read both the Airel books and they were ok. Don't believe I'll start the other 4 tho.

Ariel. Outstanding writing, very interesting and keeps you wanting more!

I was totally hooked. Book 2 needs to happen soon! Great story interested to see how the next book will be!

Bleh. The book had two stories and they did not mesh at all. It was a boring read and as much as you might force yourself to keep reading in the hopes that it will improve, it just doesn't.

Pretty good. This book was pretty good. It was a little confusing at first but then I understood. This book was a good mixture of love and action.

Just so so. It is obvious that this book is a set up to a very long drawn out series. Too bad. The author(s) did a far better job SHOWING the the historic parts from a middle age male perspective of the story and simply TOLD the present day female teen perspective. Authors do not relate to a female teen. I do not know where the story is going but I am not buying 6 more books to figure it out.

Wow. This is the best book i have ever read, i mean WOW!!

1 Comment. I love this book, I just grow frustrated about how it changes times so often. Aron & Chris have wonderful writing though, even if I’m super tempted to skip all the past times to the present times, then read the past times. Other than that, I’d say this is one of the better books I’m reading. I read a lot, bookworms still exist! (this isn’t my book, I’m kinda borrowing it from someone else, & therefore this review is attached to their name.)

Eh. There were simple grammatical and punctuation errors made right from the beginning. I understand this is supposed or be a teen novel but the reader should be warned it is written by a teen as well. At least that is what I am guessing, due to the descriptive quality. Otherwise, good bones for a teen book; this would be nice to use as a correction exercise in school.

Ariel: the awaking. This is an amazing book. Hooks you in and makes you want more.

Awesome. I absolutely loved this book, the only issue I have is. I thought I bought the second book when I actually bought the third book. Maybe put in the title 2nd book ect.

What?. The book started out wonderfully, interesting plot, captivating theme, lots of mystery, a tad of love, lots of suspense, and a whole ton of confusion (the good kind, of course). It kept me interested until the very end. When I realized the book ended. What? It wasn't even a good stopping point. None of the mystery was cleared up at all, some of the pieces vaguely connected but really? That was possibly the worst stopping point ever. At least give me a little bit of understanding. I don't trust buying the second or third or even last just for fear it will end as terribly. Next time, try and clear things up a bit before ending cold turkey.

Can't wait to read the next book in the Ariel Saga!. This book grabbed me and I just wouldn't let go! Great book to keep you hanging on the edge of your seat. Actually I read this book every morning while walking on my treadmill. I had to force myself off the treadmill to go to work! I just wanted to continue reading - loved it!

Airel. Amazing book! Very detail oriented and addicting!

Amazing. The whole saga is amazing and I will be so disappointed when I get done reading the last book...which I'm about to download. If you love fallen angel books with suspense, war, betrayal, and love then you will love this saga!

Book 2 is included. Just an FYI that book 2 is technically included in Awakening. I wish the description on book breakdown was accurate.

Disappointed. Terrible ending. Wasn't a good overall book. Could improve tremendously. I would give no stars but this is the lowest.

It’s good!. This book is very well written, and I really enjoyed it! However, it does feel as though there was no real climax to the book and it seems as though the story ends just where it actually begins. I’m very disappointed with how the author executed the ending, though as I’ve said I really enjoyed the story line.

Hooked!!. Love part 1 but can't find part 2 to read more :-(

Confused. I understand some of the story but when you were jumping around different times period. What confused me so much is the writers say they're in Boise but they are saying things as if the character was at the Gold Coast, in Australia at schoolies which is a celebration that they are finally finished school after 13yrs but they say it's in USA. It was ok but book but it's slow and I barely finished it I would not pay to get to next book.

Perfect. Loved it, have bought the next one and will no doubt buy all the others!

Great Read!. Well written, great storyline. Liked it so much I have since bought and read the rest of the books in the saga.

Loved it!. Brilliant

A good read!. Second in the series continues where The Awakening leaves off. Patterson & White are very good!

Thanks for the nightmares. definitely an intriguing story (i only kept reading in the hopes of finding out what was going on/confirm my suspicions) These authors have a gift for descriptions and i feel it’s probably safe to assume i will be dealing with the effects of their vivid imagery for days.

Great Read….Confusing Description. I really enjoyed this book. I found it a bit difficult to read through the two plots back and forth but it got easier. I enjoyed Airel. At first she appears to be a typical teenager, going to high school, dealing with everyday teenager issues. But not is all as it seems. The second storyline is harder to follow and much more sombre. I can’t wait to find out more about Kreios’s backbround. 4000 years is a long time to live and there must be more story to tell. The book description says that this is Airel: The Awakening (The Airel Saga, Book 1: Part 1) It should really say that it’s Part 1-4. After I finished this book I went and bought Ariel: The Discovering (The Airel Saga, Book 2: Parts 2-4…..which is actually included in the above book.
