Great sci-fi book. This is another great book in the Phoenix series by Richard Sanders. Well written with many twists and turns with many of the turns not what you'd expect. Looking forward to more books by this author.

The Phoenix Rising. This series of sci fi books are excellent and I'm eagerly awaiting book 5. I would love to see a movie made from these books. I am truly a fan of Richard L Sanders writing.

Not sure. I can't give a good report but the cost is just not right, before it was 1250 pages for free, now it's 450 pages for seven dollars

The Phoenix Rising. The is the second book that i have read by this author and i must say that he writes like a true Si Fi veteran. I will be reading all of his books as they come out. It is good to have a new author of this caliber on the bookstands

Worth reading.. This story line has so much potential and most of it is great. I really enjoyed these books but found certain things a bit irritating. To the writer : more space battles and less romance +religion garbage.....it does not suit your audience. Vampires and werewolfs ? Seriously ? What is this twilight? Also why are all the aliens humanoid? Come up with something creative.

The Phonenix Rising. Rip off. This book is not a complete story. Everything is left open at the end. Not even a complete first book of a series, and even if I wanted to buy the rest of the "book" it is not available. Not even worth mentioning the plot or characters because the story does not go far enough to get any feeling of completeness. I will not buy from this author or publisher again.

The Phoenix Rising. If you are a scifi fan, I highly recommend this series. When I devour a book in 3 days as I did with The Phoenix Rising, I know I am reading a good story by a talented author. I look forward to many more great reads by Richard L. Sanders.

Phoenix Rising. A bit slow initially but intriguing throughout. All of the major characters are developed and enhance the plot seamlessly. There remain a few inconsistencies.

Reader. Sanders writes well and his narrative flows far better than that found in most scifi books. I work in the publishing business, and frequently read manuscript submissions. I rarely review ebooks because most are okay, but not great. Sanders is well worth your attention. You will not be disappointed. For the record, until I downloaded this book, I had never heard of this author.

Worth reading. I downloaded the first in the series for free, and immediately purchased the next book, Phoenix Rising hoping it was as good as the first. I was not disappointed and am on to purchase the next book The Phoenix Crisis. Excellent reading, I'm throughly enjoying the characters and the story line development. Can't wait to start book 3.

Great read!. Very suspenseful, well written with an intriguing plot! Well defined characters.

Amazing addition!. An amazing follow-up on the first novel, this book is captivating, exciting, and much like the first book, well wrote, and brandishes a thick, mind bending plot.

The bridge of Calvin’s ship seems to be staffed by 12-year-olds. Enough with the juvenile angst already. A solid series that, for me, ends with this book.

Phoenix Rising. Fast paced well written book, the main characters are well fleshed out and their relationships with other characters are fully developed and believable. I could have done without the zombie apocalypse toward the end of the book there are other foes that are just as terrifying. Hollywood has really overdone the zombie thing.

Hooked. I am absolutely hooked on this book series. I have just finished the second book and am in withdraw until I can afford the time and finances to finish the series. I was surprised to guess the wrong outcome during several parts of the book and is looking it has kept and peaked my interests even more.

Smashing. This book was indeed a marvelous masterpiece among modern day literature and can only be seen as a successor to the first book.

Phoenix Rising. Not bad. I'll probably read it again for the nuances. The use of mc has me stumped though. I'm not that hard core Sci Fi or NASA to figure out the measure. Million Centimeters? Love getting into Calvain's head though. Ninoux is shaping up as a character equal to "Spock". And no space opera is worth its salt without the hot bodacious babe, Summers, or 7 of 9 without the wire makeup. An enjoyable read

Great read. I picked up the first book free,then I was hooked and purchased all of the series. I will no doubt be back after I finish these books.

Excellent. A very interesting book that kept me turning page after page the only issue would be the price i bought longer and better books for the same price its just that 490 pages seems to be worth maybe 3 dollars at most not 7

Can't stop reading it. This book has kept me wrapped up to where I'm reading it all day. Amazing flow of the plot, very relatable characters that are so perfectly detailed that you almost feel you know them. The mystery and sense of what's next keeps me pulled in and am ready to dive into book three. Mr. Sanders is a great author and I'm ready to see more of his amazing work. A great work of detail and great flow kept you on a "need to know basis" but full of answers and questions that keeps you reading on and on.

...my only complaint.... Loved this book, #2 of 5, and have already finished #3 as well..... Hurry with #4 & #5, please.... Great writer, so young to be so good at this. I noticed the OSCard influence, but kept feeling like I was also experiencing the best of a great Star Trek story. So, my only complaint, as I have already read that someone let Richard know about some of the typos, is that I didn't do a careful enough check on the pricing and iBooks has this for $6.99 and it is out on Kindle for $2.99. If I thought the difference went to the author, I wouldn't mind! So, buyer beware! If you have read this review and are deciding on whether to order this book, just make sure you plan to buy the next one and the two soon to be released. I will meanwhile try to make the wait easier by reading a couple other RLSanders books!

The second. Once again the second edition to a great book and great story. Can't wait to read the third.

The Phoenix Rising. 2 Down, 2 to go, wow!

Great read!. I enjoyed the flow and the style kept me entertained and was very clean too no unnecessary junk.

Fast paced read!. One again Sanders doesn't disappoint. Fun fast paced read while adding new characters to the saga. Calvin Cross the books central character is easy to relate to, the flawed hero. Struggling with drug dependency, personal and personnel issues and a longing for an old flame long since gone. The new characters are easy to like and their personalities come through without to much character analysis. Very entertaining book and I'm looking forward to the next in the series. Would have given this 5 stars but the book is short at 600 pages on my iPad. Better the book sell for $9.99 and be longer or the conclusion to the saga. I feel nickel and dimed this way. To the author, have faith your fans would pay more to read you.

You lost me.. After finishing the first two books I will say that they are very entertaining and well written, but I cannot accept the lack of ending to either book. It’s a shame because the story is quite thrilling and the fact that I have to read 7 books (spend $70) to get to the end is unfortunate, and a deal killer.

Another brilliant piece of work.. I still couldn't manage to put this one down.... It wasn't as fast paced and cliff hangery as the previous, but understandably you can't move a masterpiece forward by recycling old ideas. Many questions still unanswered, more questions to be answered I know it's said that if you go beyond a trilogy your pushing your luck but I really don't think all the answers can be made to a satisfactory standard in just one more book. Outstanding!. This instalment is an excellent sequel to The Phoenix Conspiracy. It has an excellent plot that keeps you reading, and twists that keep you guessing. Calvin's substance abuse and tension with Summers was excellent, and this book has those excellent moments, but Sanders has really made this a book worthy of recognition, reading, and excitement. Love it!

The best!. This has got to be the est sci-fi book ever. I absoloutely love the series and can not wait for the next book. Totally worth the money, under-priced in my opinion. Only dissapointment was that its not as long as the 1st, but it is still great. Read the whole thing in 30 mins and i must have read both booms atleast 5 times now. Keep up the fantastic work!

Phoenix trilogy. Really good read

Great book but has one issue. I loved this book and the previous book as well, as I like this style of writing. The plot is very well thought out and has a lot of potential in the future. But one issue is not with the writing but is with the price of the book, £4.49 is an ok price if I was buying it as a paper copy but as I have found book on iBook are cheaper then that I would have expected the price to be about £3.50 to £4 but that only my opinion.

The Phoenix rises!!!. Once again, Richard excels and continues to produce a book thats keeps you on the edge of your seat till the bitter end (and it's not even over yet). A fantastic follow up and once again I for one can't wait till the epic conclusion. Definitely worth the price, I look forward to sampling further work by this author and urge sci-fi fan to read these books

Brilliant!. I'm glad I happened to stumble on these three books, they are the best read I've had. So many cliffhangers to keep you reading to find out their conclusion. Can't wait for the next book.

Good sequel with a few minor issues. Thoroughly enjoyed this book as with the first in the series. The action was well-written and the plot development kept me reading long after I should've been asleep. There were a few things that I felt might be improved, for one the character development wasn't as good as in the previous book and I feel some more could be done with the Polarian and the Human interaction. Also the storyline, whilst very enjoyable, seemed to be a little too protracted meaning that occasionally certain parts of the story took a little longer than perhaps necessary. But this is just my opinion, don't let me deter you from enjoying this great second instalment. Overall, I would say the book had plenty of fast paced, gripping scenes that were thoroughly enjoyable, but it lacked a few of the familiar quirks that the first book had. I look forward to reading book 3.

Loving this series. I'm really enjoying the series, the last few chapters had me gripped to the point, I couldn't sleep and had to read on, the tension that was built up near the end had me on the edge of my seat. Keep up the good work, can't wait to read the next book.

Grate. This is one of the best book/series that I have ever read.

Awesome follow up. After reading the first book, which the author currently offers for free. This was an excellent follow up. The characters become more and more immersive and the story is compelling. I immediately bought the next book in the series.

The Phoenix Conspiracy. As soon as I finish this I will download the third book. The first 2 have me hooked. I am not a prolific reader so I have few reference points but I was drwn in to the books gradually and thoroughly. I must thank the author for that! You have made want me more, in general, not just your books but obviously book 3 in the series will be next! To others I would say the subject matter may be for particular audience but the writing draws you in so the author has surely achieved his goal! Thanks

The Difficult Second Book. Now, this review isn't particularly negative, but this book isn't quite as good as the first in the series. The premise of the series is excellent, and the mystery is deepening. There are plenty of twists that keep you guessing, and I can't wait for the next book in the series. However, I feel that this book has sacrificed the characters slightly for the plot. The themes in the first book such as Calvin's substance abuse, several romances, even the dialogue between the characters seems diluted this time around. I'm trying to avoid spoiling anything, so I won't go into too much detail, but this book is great. It really is. Hopefully the third book can go back to being excellent like the first, though.

Beyond expectation. While it had been a fair while between reading the prequel and this, the story was so well connected and elegantly executed. I had a great time reading this and recalling the events from the past book, the sheer excitement and suspense created by this story is something I will never forget.

Great sequel!. Not to mention the fact I would have paid money for the first instalment of the series, the second novel does not disappoint. Hunter turns into hunted, and the conspiracy deepens. I am a new, big fan, and if you enjoyed the first, you will certainly enjoy the second. Characters get more depth, and you are kept on the edge of your seat. Great writing, I love it.

Great reads. Both of these books are really great reads. If you're a Star Wars fan or a Trekkie, you should definitely read these. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book. Is the an ETA?
