Watching. The overall story bears a lot of similarities to the previous book and gives me the impression that the series will be very formulaic. I was disappointed to see that, like its predecessor, the female protagonist is once again damseled. There’s a lot of rehashing of information that made this book longer than it needed to be, and attempts to reinforce points only had me questioning who the author was trying to convince, the audience or themselves. I encountered several typos and a wardrobe continuity issue. For the most part the entire story felt like a bunch of HR cases waiting to happen but was never even considered. Having said that, Jules is a real team player and Mattie is hilarious.

I love her books!. Great story!

Watching. Loved this book! The serial killer and a deranged agent along with intrigue, danger, and a romance that no one expected. Couldn’t put it down !

Great storyline. Terrible editing. Poor grammar and missing words! Liked the story but the editing was quite distracting.

Hated it!. Just couldn’t get into it. Trying to mix sex with a serial murder. And also having one of the FBI personnel off the rocker. Just did not weave this very well. Probably could have been better without the relationships between the characters taking over the serial murders

Watching. Redundant, Redundant , redundant haha, so many things over & over. I did finish the book because I always do to give it a chance . couldn't wait to be done. Half of the book could've been illuminated. So much repeated. Definitely fiction. Not reality FBI

Like Criminal Minds with kissing. I liked this book a lot!! It was like Criminal Minds with some romance.

😕. Completely and utterly confused throughout this whole book. I could not tell what or whom the author was talking about half the time. I had to go back over parts of the story in order to make sense of it and it still confused me.

Amazing book. This book was very good. I read a lot of books and this one stuck out. The plot was very well written and had you yelling at the book cuz you know there's more to it that the main characters had not yet figured out.

Watching. Great read and I cannot wait to read others by Calle Brookes!

Excellent. Great story. Liked that it takes place in St. Louis. Love that there are not pages and pages of uninteresting sex.

So Confused. Obviously many ghost writers. Mixed up action, words missing, words misused, first, last names of characters used as well as nicknames. Nice plot but desperately in need of editing. No more of these for me.

Methodical and Consistent. The storyline arc was perfectly written. Couple of typos. But not very noticeable, likely to be missed. I downloaded off BB, super broke right now or I'd buy the rest of the series. I could easily see this book as a TV show or movie. I love a good book with substance. 💜

Watching. Loved it

Worth a read :-). Without spoiling the plot in any way, I did find the key parts were rushed over in certain places, especially towards the end. But saying that, I still enjoyed the book and would say its worth a read. I will be going on to read the others in this series.

Brilliant plot. This is a gripping suspense novel. I liked the romantic element but it was the tension building up throughout the book, which I felt was really clever. I became very involved in the story and wanted to tell the agents what was going on to help them but at the same time I didn't know who was involved in the crimes, either!

Ok. I am halfway through this and it's an ok story spoiled completely by the bad spelling! So annoying. A writer/editor who doesn't know the difference between your and you're is unforgivable. This is a frequently recurring mistake amongst many other errors!

Good stuff. This book was a really interesting read. I really enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other, the way they developed. I look forward to reading the other books by this author. :)

Wow!. The heat between Hell and Georgia made this a great romance. The suspense of the story was fantastic too! Highly recommend!

Mediocre. The story started well, but it then got a little corny. I couldn’t really see some of the things happening in reality. Ended up reading just a quarter of the book. Just not my kind of story. One and a half stars.

Watching = great read. I highly recommend this book it had the right amount of suspense and romance to keep you wanting more. Hell and Georgia are a perfect match this is my first book from this author and I can not wait to read more from this series!
