Oh, the opportunities!. This book is phenomenal not only for the multitude of ways that it gets the message across (concise text, labelled images, video, links to other resources, etc...) but also for the wide range of uses of ultrasound that it describes. As a med student heading for residency, I know I'll be able to grow into this book. I definitely would not have thought of using ultrasound to identify a shoulder dislocation or a hip effusion! Thanks for the great resource.

FINALLY! Well worth $30. I've downloaded several ultrasound textbooks (all of which cost much more than $30), and this is this first one that actually takes advantage of the iPad platform. Finally an iBook that is actually interactive and plays videos with audio instruction. Would like a little more in depth about some subjects, but there are plenty of links and referrals to other resources to keep me busy. THANKS!!!!! Dr.Alice

Great book!. This is an outstanding resource. Although prior ultrasound texts are useful, I think the combination of text and video along with excellent illustrations are much more helpful than any prior ultrasound text I have seen. Other EM texts could learn a few lessons on how to organize and present information in this way.

An EM Staple. Engaging from start to finish.

This is all you need. You can literally read a chapter, walk over to the US machine and try it on a patient. It has the "How to”, “pit falls” and the know how on each technique. The chapters are written by a “who’s who” of clinical US, and there is a bonus. Get the one minute app and if it’s been a while since you read the chapter look up the refresher in the app, before you walk to do the study.

Well done. More advanced than I expected. This is really nicely executed. Covers the basics, but has some advanced stuff as well. Not sure I would have called "introduction". Can't find volume 2. Released yet?

Fabulous!. This has quickly become one of the most practice altering resources I own. In and of itself, this book is excuse enough to buy an iPad. Ultrasound is where emergency medicine is going and this source is the must have travel guide. Appropriate for student, resident and attending level ultrasound practitioners. Cleverly done and easy to understand!

Great Resource!!!. This is a fantastic book and a must have for the ER physician. It really lays out the skills that you MUST have in the ER today. The photos and videos are very helpful in putting the words into action.
