Written by a dumb teenager?. Have really loved Julie Garwood's books for the smart dialogue, great suspense, and fun romance. I find it hard to believe she even wrote this book. It is just awful. Finally gave up hope that it was going to get up to Garwood's usual standards and didn't even finish the book. I want my money back.

Hotshot. Have always enjoyed books written by Ms Garwood, but Hotshot was in a word: BORING! Predictable, lacking the whit of her previous books.

Hotshot. Bland, boring formula. Not worth your money, or time. Historically, Julie Garwood has brought us rich, memorable stories with lovable, brave characters. This shallow, one dimension, flavorless read leads me to conclude this author has sold out to mass produced drivel. Hotshot is a waste of money. If you are looking for wonderful romance and adventure read Julie Garwood's early books; The Lion's Lady, Guardian Angel, Honor's Splendour, The Bride, Ransom, The Secret, The Wedding, The Prize... These books are Julie Garwood at her best.

Read the reviews. The romance was good, as always. But the dialogue and story line was silly and amateurish. I read the reviews but didn't heed them.

Great read!. I loved this book. Couldn't put it down

Hotshot. This was the first Julie Garwood book I had ever read. It is so good that I've since read the whole FBI series. I just recently finished this a second time. The romance is great, and the characters are such that you'll love them--especially Finn McBain.

Hotshot. I love Julie Garwood books. This book wasn't one of her best. There was a lot of wondering around instead of staying with the story line. This book was a bit boring.

Another classic!. Julie Garwood has a special way of making you love or hate her characters. Hotshot is certainly no exception to that rule. I think we all want to meet our own Finn, and we all have a Debi hidden somewhere also. It's a great book, I hope you'll enjoy it!

Hot Shot. The style of writing of this book did not resemble other books by Julie Garwood. The writing seemed very amateurish, the characters and the plot without any depth. I was very disappointed.

Just not up to her usual standards. I hate to give Garwood bad reviews, but this book doesn't even seem like her writing. With cartoon villains and a female protagonist right out of the 1950s, it just isn't close to the standards of her other books. No character has any complexity. I'm wondering if it's a reprint of an earlier book from the beginning of her career, when some of the types of situations and characters in the book would have been standard. It is easy to read, but not up to her usual work. Somewhat disappointing.

Eh. I love Julie Garwood but this is not her best book. It seemed like a book that would be an author's first. Not worth $10 =(

Hotshot. All her books are great but the contemporary romances are the books you read over and over. Outstanding.

Hotshot. Who wrote this book? It certainly didnt seem like Julie Garwood wrote this book.

Hotshot. Excellent writing with lots of twists and turns and the perfect amount of story and love. The characters were interesting and believable. I liked it very much!

So-so. I've read every book Garwood has published and get new releases as soon as they come out. This was not worthy of full price. It was very derivative of all her previous work and quite disappointing. I hope she can rally and become a bit less formulaic, otherwise you might as well jst re-read her previous work up to her first contemporary. The older historicals are great.

Fantastic. Loved these two together!!! They had chemistry and beautiful dialogue!! Great development of their romance and story lime!! Highly recommended!!

What a waste. Finishing this book felt like a waste of time - the book feels like it was written in a rush. The plot is a good idea but doesn't unfold naturally a d the characters are over the top, trite, and cliched. Some parts of the book are also clumsily written, which I wouldn't expect from an author with some many books previously published. I don't know if I have ever read Garwood before but I am going to be really hesitant in the future.

Hotshot. It's by Julie Garwood. Do I need to say more? Always a great read.

Huge Diassapointment!. Huge disappointment from one of my favorite authors! I can't believe that she wrote this book herself. So choppy it almost seemed as if someone took a bunch of bullet points and formed them into sentences..."and then they made love and then they ate dinner after which they checked messages". How could this book have passes editing??? There was no suspense and hardly any romance. Too predictable and BORING!
