Fantastic inspirational book!!. Dr. Ben Carson has written an amazing, inspirational book in Gifted Hands. It is a very easy read, and one that is relatable to many people in their struggles in early life. Dr. Carson made something amazing with his life, with the help of God, whom he gives ultimate credit for his abilities as a neurosurgeon. Inside, you will not only find an inspiring take on life as a God fearing human, but you will be engrossed in the many stories of miraculous surgeries he has been a part of that in reality can only be explained by a true higher power. Do yourselves a real favor and read this book. I'm sure you won't regret it, and will come out in the end realizing how amazing Dr. Carson and God really are.

Inspirational & Conversational. Dr. Carson’s calm demeanor and love of God and life shine through the words is this book. He knows how to connect with his audience so that you feel like he he telling you the story himself. Many personal anecdotes are provided, along with the fears, struggles and sighs of relief along the way. A must-read for the young, the old, and anyone in between.

Excellent. This was a phenomenal read! Very succinct and captivating, I picked it up and didn't stop reading until the very last page. Dr. Carson's story is motivating and humbling--someone we can all learn from.

Life Changing Especially For Future Doctors. Never thought that I’d come across a book like this. I was just researching about Pre-Med and it was suggested that every Pre-Med student read this book. I can’t thank God enough that I came across it I just finished it and has served as a reminder of whats possible when you put God first in your life to accomplish anything! Amen Thank you Dr. Ben Carson I hope to meet you someday when I become a Neurosurgeon myself in Jesus name!

A Blessing to Read!!. Gifted Hands is an amazing, inspiring, well written tale of determination, overcoming, & perseverance. Dr. Carson does an exceptional job at making his life's story & his awe inspiring career relatable to all. Though I have no plans of cutting open anyone's brain, I do know that I too am capable at being great at what I do. The miracles listed in this book at pure faith igniters. If God can do it for Dr. Carson & his patients, why shouldn't I believe He's capable of miraculous works in my life as well. Great book. Yet another reason I love Dr. Ben Carson!

W. I just finished reading Gifted Hands by Dr. Carson, and just like America The Beautiful, it was wonderful, inspiring book. I have never read or known anyone(except Biblical characters) who god certainly has His Hands on. I first met Dr. Carson when he appeared on the Prayer Breakfast. I fell in love with him then and have followed him since. By the way, I am a white grandmother of 13, And I am 76 years old. I keep thinking he may be the one God has given to us to lead out of the darkness our Nation has sunken to. He could be the one to lead us back to the wonderful, God-giving

Inspiring. This book is a a major source of inspiration. I read the book for the first time during my senior year of high school; loved it then and I love it now. Dr. Ben Carson is a role model for all.

A Must Read. I couldn't put this one down. It's inspiring, captivating, and something that will motivate you even more to 'be the best that you can be'. What a refreshing approach to Life. Ben should seriously consider a run for the White House, and We should Seriously consider throwing our support his way. Thank You Ben!

Great book!!. I had to read this as one of my summer reading books and its such a great book!! I have to say that this is the best book that I have ever read. It is also very inspiring and I can't wait to read more of Ben Carson's books in the future. (14 years old btw)

Absolutely great. I watched the moovie first when I heard about Dr. Ben Carson, then I felt I must read the book too. His story is just incredible, and for me was inspirational. It just helped me to get motivated and gave me the stength to go through anything, whatever will happen. Respect for Dr. Carson, the man who was not afraid to follow his dreams and to do something for them. The most important is to be who you want to be , not who the society want you to be.

About the Ben Carson book. This book was really interesting and fun to read.

Gifted Hands. This book must be a pretty accurate glimpse into the "real Ben Carson". The more I learn about this man, the more focused and consistent the image becomes. It is the image of a man with great talent cloaked in even greater caring, compassion and humility. His humility is refreshing. I love how he knows and joyously shares its Source. This review is written June, 2013 as he finishes his tenure at Johns Hopkins. I eagerly await the revelation of where God takes him next. I, for one, pray it is a role on the national political stage. This book, like the man, is simply great!
