A textbook for the ages!. This is probably the greatest chess textbook on the market. What really makes it so great is the fact that it isn't exclusively for children or adults, but a perfect in between for both. This made learning chess so enjoyable for me, and I am now becoming a much better chess player and having fun while doing it!

Creative educational book for students.. This book has all the ingredients for developing a method of thinking. It is able to teach, challenge and motivate the reader to keep learning and mastering this eternal game. Through chess the book teaches math, geometry and cleverly keeps the reader hooked by presenting puzzles with gradual increase in difficulty. I love the way the book demonstrates the importance of history to children through explaining famous games played by past chess champions. The authors clearly understand how to build excitement through learning.

Excellent Book for Beginners who want to Learn Chess. This book is well-written, clear to understand, and is elegantly designed. It is easy to understand for kids, but is appropriate for all ages as well. If you want to brush up your chess skills or are learning from the beginning, I highly recommend reading this.

Exceptional For learning Chess. This is an exceptional book for learning chess and for beginners to start picking up the thought process needed to go to the next level. Very concise and organized for easy learning, taking you step by step through the basic tactics and strategy of the wonderful game of chess. The interactive diagrams and the method of writing make this very fun to read! Highly recommended.

The book contains dynamic graphics and puzzles that help illustrate the fundamentals of the game. Fabulous book for children and adults. I bought this book for my grandchildren. I never played chess before but this book is methodically teaching me how to move the pieces. The book is a good size length and my grandchildren and are learning so much!

Great Classroom Resource. As an elementary school teacher, I am always looking for new resources in my classroom. This is a great resource to motivate students to try and learn chess independently. The ease of use on the Ipad and the interactive diagrams and illuminating graphics really engage students and provide them with a resource to learn something new on their own. Chess! Lessons From a Grandmaster. An impressive eBook - well put together with excellent content, clever layout, superb photography and other visual art and also a bit of history. The interactive format is a natural for teaching chess. Although this book is intended for an older audience and can serve as a teaching tool for all ages, it seems to me appropriate for teaching chess to a young child working with a parent. The eBook format should appeal to children, who are fascinated by electronic devices like iPads, and will allow them as they get older to work on the lessons on their own. While my grandson is only 5, he is interested in chess, and I can visualize him working with his dad using this book to learn the fundamentals.

Awesome Chess App. I would definitely recommend this iBook to anyone learning chess, wanting to improve at chess or who just plain loves chess! IGM Shulman has done an outstanding job making it fun and easy for kids to learn the "King of all games!" This iBook is equivalent to his written text by the same name and I have been purchasing it and giving it as a gift to my patients for years. One of my goals as a pediatrician is to have kids learn chess as it helps build critical thinking skills. This iBook will make that task so much easier! Definite 5 star recommendation! Comprehensive yet simple. I love this book, have never really mastered chess but was eager to learn. This book makes that simple and is also enjoyable. Explanations are simple to understand and make sense. I highly recommend it, although I am a beginner, I suspect because of the detailed nature, it will be suitable for advanced players as well.
