Can’t recommend. I would have to agree with the other reviewers. This book was too long, Elli was extremely immature & the ending was ridiculous. I have no interest in reading the rest of the series. The plot had potential but the author made the main character unlikeable.

Loved it!!!!!!. Great story. I couldn't put it down. Shea is a great character and a hottie. I am ready for more hot hockey players. Thanks for the story.

Who knew ice was so...hot?!. I absolutely loved this book! I literally could not stop reading. I laughed. I cried. I freaking yelled at my iPad I was so into this book. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series about the hottest guys to take the ice...even if I am a Blues girl at heart. ;)

It's okay. This book did not need to be so long. It was good until the middle and just dragged on and on.

Decent story, horrible writing. I really wanted to love this book, but it was so poorly written, I struggled just to get through it.

Loved!. Saw Toni Aleo at an author signing event. She was so amazing that I had to give her books a shot. So glad I did. Not only do I love me some hockey, but I love an author that can write well from both the lead character's POV! I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the next in the series. I understand why my friend went all fan girl when she met her!

Outstanding. I absolutely loved this book and the authors style of writing! This story was very well written and the storyline flowed very well. It made me laugh, cry and get mad...but in the end it warmed my heart! I definitely recommend reading this...you won't be sorry!!!

Loved it. I loved this book couldn't put it down. Eleanor ( Elli ) Fisher is a professional photographer with her own studio so when she got the job to photograph the Assassins hokey team she excited because she had a crush on defenseman Shea Adler. Shea Adler thought that Elli was a beautiful woman that he had his twin sister Grace hire her for his next event. After spending so much time together they both started to fall in love with each other. Shea knew that Elli didn't like her family except for her dad Micheal, but whe Elli sees Shea and her sister Victoria she doesn't want to see him ever again.

Wonderful. I stumbled across these books and I love them all. There needs to be more Shea Alders' in this world.

Shea is like Buttah. This was a pucking good story and I appreciate that there was no cliff hanger at the end. I am so tired of the teaser approach so prevalent in many recent books. Just charge a fair price for a whole story and stop jerking readers around. I'm dropping my gloves and refusing to buy in to this foolishness anymore. Having vented, I really liked this couple even if their combined tears would fill a jetted tub. The writer is very talented and I will purchase her other books in this series since she is writing about new people while including updates on previous couples.

Had potential but..... I really like the story in the beginning, but midway through I just thought it dragged on and on and on. By the end of the book I practically hated Elli; she was so annoying and insecure I couldn't stand it. If the book would've been shorter I think it would be better. Will I continue reading the series, probably. I'd like to think the rest of the characters aren't as bad as Elli.

Interesting. Is it just me or do these book seem like they were written by a teenager. These series aren't bad they just go on and on and on. These books need serious editing because I get to a point in the books and I just start to skim. The last 2 I read I got to the middle and just skipped to the end just so it would end finally.

Honest Review. Before starting this book, I was skeptical. $8 and 700 pages (iPad) later, I felt the absolute need to review this book. First things first, this book was recommended to me because it’s a “plus size” romance. When in fact, it is not. Maybe some body dysmorphia, but not plus size. Secondly, I got so angry reading this book I actually stood up a few times. You ever been so angry you had to stand up? Well, read this book and you will. I don’t think I’ve ever been more annoyed with a character than Ellie. I mean I have, but she’s up there. Her character was annoyingly immature. The back and forth, the insecurities (I get but Jesus, she took it far), and the whole ending? I have never wanted to fight a fictional character so bad. She needed a good slap to the face— a few times. Shea deserved way more than what he was getting with Ms. Hot-And-Cold. In conclusion, I probably wouldn’t recommend this book just off of length alone. It felt like a slow burn that just kept burning once you got there. And I do mean it was disastrous at the end there. It took up 2 of my nights and I was angry most of the reading than happy. However, if you’re into slow burns and long books, look no further.

Absolutely wonderful!. I have just found a new favorite writer! TE has a real skill and frankly, the subject matter, sans the hockey, means a great deal to me personally. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is...high heels on ice? Otherwise, I really like the quality of her writing.

Fantastic series opener!!!. This is the first book in The Assassins series and it's about Ellie Fisher and Shea Adler. Shea's attitude is that if it happens and he falls in love, then great but he's gonna have fun being single until then. Ellie is a totally different story. She's been hurt...badly. It's taken her years to be able to start living again. Sexy hockey player Shea Adler, is about to rock her world! I can't say enough great things about this book! I LOVE it! My emotions were all over the place. I was happy, sad, crying, cheering, angry, and my kids thought I had lost it! I am so glad I started this series. Toni Aleo is an amazing writer. It took a lot of patience on Shea's part but when it happened the chemistry between these characters was sizzling! It's refreshing to see what a guy goes through when he loves his woman so much and things don't work out the way he planned. I am so excited to read the next book in this fabulous series, Trying To Score.

Great Escape. Could not put it down till the end. It's a little predictable but still thoroughly enjoyed it.

A little immature/sweet. This has the potential of being a really good book. So sick of heroines that aren’t confident in themselves and are all self pity all the time. 1/3 of the book seems like it’s dedicated to hearing about why she’s not good enough blah blah. I want confident kick-ass heroines, who know their self worth
