Long live The McLachlans!. Loved this book just as much as the first. Ms. Cates can sure tell a story. Love Laurelyn and Jack Henry's story. Can't wait to read the third book. Definitely recommend

There were some moments that I liked, but it wasn't a winner.. Review originally posted on Reading Books Like a Boss I read Beauty from Pain on a whim awhile back. I had wanted to read it for a really long time and found the perfect time to squeeze. I liked the first book and I wanted to know how this couple moved on from what happened at the end of book one. I didn't enjoy Beauty from Surrender nearly as much as Beauty from Pain. I'll keep this review relatively short since I don't really have a lot to say. This is another case of "I wish the author would have condensed these books into one book or one book and a novella." I have a hard time with contemporary series that feature the same couple because it often leads to weak or manufactured conflict. In this book, I didn't feel like the conflict was strong enough to warrant a full-length novel. It felt really drawn out. Granted, in this book there was a bit of conflict being as the couple was apart for some of it, but that quickly is resolved when Jack tracks Laurelyn down early on in the novel. Most of this book was Jack and Laurelyn having sex (in general, sexytimes are awesome), but it overshadowed the actual storyline for me. I was expecting more meat from the story, and really all that was left was Laurelyn's choice between her career or Jack (we all know what she was going to choose). There were some moments that I liked, but it wasn't a winner. 1 star

Eh... First book I read in a couple days because it just sucked me in. This second one took me about 5 days. It became repetitive and the sex scenes became so vanilla. I'm still debating wether or not to buy the last one. I feel like it would be a waste of my time and money.

Great read! My favorite series!. My favorite by far! I love that Jack is just a sweet guy. A lot of series like this have a rich guy with control issues because they have a troubled dark past. No Jack. He's rich but no dark haunting past or control issues. He's just really sweet. I LOVE the duel POV through the book. Best!

Review: Beauty #2: Beauty From Surrender. Beauty from Surrender by Georgia Cates is the second book in her Beauty Trilogy. We left Laurelyn and Jack Henry with Laurelyn on a plane back to the states and Jack Henry devastated that she left without saying goodbye. Laurelyn is also devastated, but as she has done this to herself, I felt little pity. When she finally starts bouncing back and coming into her own again she gets bombarded with her mothers drama, her ex practically stalking her, and her best friend deciding to go back to Australia leaving her alone but now part of an up and coming country music band. Meanwhile, back in Australia, Jack Henry looks for number 14 one VERY drunken night and almost goes through with the act but just can't. He's in love with Laurelyn and trying to get off with someone else won't fix anything. He fesses up to his mum about the relationship and decides to dig in and hires a PI to find Laurelyn. Their lives go on and it's three months of long and lonely nights for the both of them. From here the story explodes. Spoilers and all that great stuff so I'll just say this, onwards to book three please.

Swoon worthy. "I realized that you weren't just the next one...you were the last one." (Swoon!). I am not sure where to start; so I will just say tissue please! I cried. I laughed. I loved this series! Happy smiles, big fat tears! Extremely lovable book. I enjoyed every page. Not to be missed.

Great Potential, but Repetitive Sex. The characters really had a chance to grow in this book, but I'm not certain they actually did. The sex is boring because they're always doing the same things in the same ways. It's just too repetitive to be interesting. I actually started skipping over the sex scenes.

Definitely not a knock off of 50shades. This book was a little slower for me and harder to like but I fell in love with it just like the first one. This is nothing like 50 shades except dude is a billionaire and likes emotionless relationships. This trilogy is way better than 50 shades and I love the story

No. Book one was good. Book two was a waste of my $2.99. I kept waiting for the story to get interesting but it never happened. If you took out all 50 of the sex scenes, the book would only be about 10 pages long. There was just no story.

No. The book skips so much! The book is inconsistent with the timeline. Some parts of the book are super long yet other parts just skip over periods of time.

Beaty from surrender. This one was a bit dragging and superficial. It did have potential to be a good follow up to the first book but lacked depth. Too many repetitive sex scenes.

Fantasic Read. I thought Fifty Shades was great but these books are amazing, I honestly wish they just went on forever.. Would recommend to anyone!!

As much as..... As much as I loved all these books bit upset that the last book is 2.49 and only 300 odd pages it should be a little bit cheaper.... Overall good books....
