Love. Awesome book

Military love story. What happens when a military special ops guy finds out his best friend from childhood is in trouble? Help her of course. Great suspenseful love story. Matt and Evie are great characters. Loved this book.

Great New Romantic Suspense Series. Hot Pursuit is the first in the HOT series and focuses on a team of top secret special ops force within the army. This book features the love story of the Captain Matt Girard and his childhood friend, Evie. When Evie's sister is kidnapped by an infamous mobster, Matt helps Evie in her search. Even though Matt broke Evie's heart ten years, ago, she discovers that Matt is a different man, one that she might be able to fall in love with. Every scene is filled with action, drama, and suspense that kept me eagerly turning the pages to see what will happen next. I am now a fan of this series and look forward to the next HOT novel.

Wonderful. I loved how it kept you wondering if the main characters would be able to have a relationship.

Hot Pursuit ( A Hostile Operations Team Strike Team 1 ) by Lynn Raye Harris. This was a great story to start the Hostile Operations Team series . Evie and Matt had a history that started when they were kids and best friends . Matt came from a rich family and Evie a girl from the wrong side of town . This book takes them through almost twenty years of their lives. So much happens it is a great time to start a wonderful new series . I know I’m going to enjoy them all.

Long and boring. Made it thru 2/3 of book and quit. It just got boring after a while. Not very exciting and I never really liked the main characters.

A must read!. I don't have enough words to describe how much I Loved this story. I'm just starting to become familiar with military romances, and this one is by far the best I have read so far. This guy is amazing. I've lived on Louisiana, so I have to say it tugged at my heart strings every time he called her cher. Hands down the author kept you glued, and I'm so in love with Mr. Girard. Sigh! How she wrote the story exactly how small towns are was amazing. I loved the intrigue, action, love story, and ending. It's a must read.

HOT 1. Matthew Girard is home on leave after a mission goes very wrong. While home on leave he meets his long time best friend and love, Evie. Evie had been in love with Matt since she was 8 but Matt is slow to notice. Evie finds herself in a bad situation and little does she know, she needs help and will have HOT help. Matt comes to the rescue but will he finally admit his love for her?

5 STAR. This was just an awesome book. Matt and Evie had us going through the book. Loved all the adventures and how they got of them. Was very hard to put this book down. Recommend to everyone.

I enjoyed this book!!. From the beginning this book captured my attention and held it until the very end. Loved the characters Matt and Evie. I love it when a book reads in color. When you can feel the emotions of the character, feel as if you were in the middle of an action scene or a love scene. Lynn Raye Harris does all of that in this book.

A must read!!!. I instantly became a fan of the HOT series. I enjoyed not only the romantic story, but the action & suspense throughout the book. I love that the main characters knew each other & grew up together as best friends before falling in love after so many years apart. Much better than your typical 2 strangers meeting & falling in love so quickly like every other book out there.

A nice reading surprise. I almost didn't go beyond sampling this book, but I am glad I did. It kept my attention 1/4 of the way through. Good characters. Believable story.

Seriously HOT. This story means so much to me because my husband and I also met as kids and though it didn’t take us as long to realize we are it for each other it still made me think of us. There are some serious ups and downs in here but it is ACTION PACKED!

Pass. I tried giving this book a chance, but oh my god the female character was so weak. She was also made up to be really strong but for every little thing she would tear up. It was pretty pathetic, also her sister is missing and she looks at the guy and wants to have sex. I think finding your sibling should be a priority. She didn't seem like an adult to me more of a teenager completely childish. It was sad but totally hated this book annoyed me to death.

Fun read!!!!. My first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I'll be checking out the other "Hot" books.

Holy hell. This was the longest book I’ve ever read. SO drawn out I was just swiping pages at some points.

Hot pursuit. Fantastic characters, a romantic thriller everything needed to keep you Turing page after page.i would recommend this author for all who enjoy interesting and heart warming reads.

Recommended. I just decided to reread the HOT series, and this second chance romance was just as good as I remembered. Matt and Evie have known each other since they were children. They had a serious falling out when they were teenagers (you can read all about it in the prequel; Reckless Heat) and it is now 10 years later. Matt is back in town for his sisters wedding and Evie is back in town after having her life turned upside down. With disappearances and bodies showing up in their small town they find themselves thrown together to figure out what is going on. Will old feelings resurface or will they find that they have changed to much over the years? Mystery and intrigue is in abundance in this book and I really enjoyed their story!

Hot!!!. I love this book. This is the first in Lynn Raye Harris' HOT series and i can't wait for Hot Mess to be released. They say love is sweeter the second time around. In Hot Pursuit, love is hotter the second time around! Truly unforgettable story of passion and love. You just have to read this book.

Excruciatingly drawn out. This story is drawn out to the point of absurdity. The characters are beyond annoying, especially “Evie” who has to be the epitome of codependency.

Bored. I don't like giving up on books, but I got bored and finally gave up about 3/4 of the way through.

Amazing!. I couldn't stop reading. Loved the excitement, mystery and the heated romance. I was intrigued from beginning to end wanting to know what was going to happen next. Lynn Raye Harris has written a grippingly addictive novel.

Hot Pursuit. Ok so honestly I'm up in the air with this book. As far as the characters go I did truly like them I feel as though they are more real life then some other series I have read. As for the story that's where I'm up in the air. I feel as though it is a good story line with lots of action, some twists and turns that kept me guessing. On the other hand it was pretty long and there was a few times where things got so boring that I found myself almost losing interest. I did grind it out until the end though and thought the extra bonus wedding part was good. Don't get me wrong here I absolutely love longs books that takes me a while to read as long as it pulls me in and does let me go and I feel as though Hot pursuit just couldn't do that.

Fans of Cristen Harber will like the HOT team. Fun book, just enough suspense, mystery and romance to be interesting. I disagree that Evie was weak. I thought she was pretty realistic, given the escapist format here. One military thing, and considering the authors hi and is military I was surprised, it is not normal to salute indoors. Call the room to attention yes, but only in very particular circumstances do personnel salute an officer indoors,

Held my attention. Good read. Kept me interested, just enough romantic and action.

Annoying. DNF. Evie was pathetic. Did not make it past chapter five. Sarah, her sister, is an idiot, but at least you can use the teenager excuse. Evie judged Matt on a decision she made ten years ago in high school. Too small town. I expected more and couldn't stand to read another word about her poor me attitude.

Hot Vol 1. Awesome read! Thanks for what you do. Had me one the edge a few times!! I really enjoyed the creativity.

Hot…hot…hot. This was a great read; I didn’t want to put it down. The characters are ever evolving, getting in trouble, and solving a very big problem from Evie’s past. Who knew small towns on the Bayou could have so much intrigue and danger. The sassiness and hardheaded shenanigans of Evie made her real, she had depth and dimension. I loved that the male & female leads realized they loved each other while trying to rescue her younger sister from blood thirsty killers…it was a story inside of a story. Coming to acceptance after dealing with murder, explosions, break ins, theft, betrayal, and broken hearts finally gave credence to their love. That type of love is real…enduring…eternal. Highly recommend this one…

Good but.... Enjoyed all the action in this book and it seemed well thought out how the events were lined up. My disappointment was the distinct lack of intimate scenes which I thought would have brought the book together more.

Loved it!. What a fantastic read! I was gripped right from the start. Matt and Evie were great characters and their attraction to each other sizzled throughout the story. Such a twist towards the end but you'll have to read the story to find out! Will definitely read more from this author felt drawn in from start to finish, cannot recommend it enough. 😀
