Moth by Daniel Arenson Book Summary

They say the world used to turn. They say that night would follow day in an endless dance. They say that dawn rose, dusk fell, and we worshiped both sun and stars.

That was a long time ago.

The dance has died. The world has fallen still. We float through the heavens, one half always in light, one half always in shadow. Like the moth of our forests, one wing white and the other black, we are torn.

My people are the fortunate. We live in daylight, blessed in the warmth of the sun. Yet across the line, the others lurk in eternal night, afraid... and alone in the dark.

I was born in the light. I was sent into darkness. This is my story.

👍. Great book with a lot of tension and some good twists.

Good book. This is a good read. Going to get the next in the series. That is all

Interesting premise, but.... The book just doesn't reach a climax until the very end. It could easily cut 200 pages short without any difference. The characters are very shallow and present any development. Predictable developments, predictable ending. The only reason I didn't give up reading it, was that I had already invested too much time giving it a chance to get better and felt that I should as well finish it then. Other than that, won't be reading any other book from this series or author.

Intrigues the mind. Great character development and story telling from different sides of individuals. Very fast pace so you won’t get bored easily

Bland. Great story but same old descriptive words used tirelessly over and over. How many times are you going to smash someone with your sword or arrow. Sadly his other books use the same descriptives.

Horrible Plot. There's no way they would even be alive. If the world didn't rotate than one side would be brutally hot and the other would be frigid and cold.

Amazing!!!. I'm not much of a sci-fi/fantasy reader, but decided to give this book a try, as it was offered as a free e-book. I couldn't put it down. The story line is engrossing and the details of this fantasy world emerged from page to page. I pictured it as a cross between lord of the rings and avatar, but this is a definite read for everyone. I'm excited to purchase the remaining books in this series and read them all...seeing as I finished this in a week's time.

Great read!. I enjoyed this book. It is very detailed in it's descriptions and lets you "paint a picture" in your head very easily. I liked the characters, the story, and the message of peace and hope in Torin and Koyee.

Amazing!. This is a great book. So far I have read 3/6 of the books in this series and it continues to wow me!

GONNA BUY THE NEXT ONE!!!. This book was a bit slow at first, but the novel picks up and picks up very fast. Near the end of the book I couldn't put down my iPod. The ending gave me the jitters, and I need MORE!!!!! Picking up this book for free was awesome, and the next book is at a good price. I recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy or si-fi.

Not the thrill I hoped for in this Moth story. Repeating descriptions and characters do stupid things, when if they could learn their lesson the first time, entire pages of this book would be eliminated

Good Read. Great read, full of action. Keeps you entertained all the way to the very end. I am very excited for the next book.

This book made my eyes bleed. I downloaded this book three years ago and never got around to reading it. Finally read it, and boy I hope the authors writing has improved since 2013, because this novel is absolute trash. I read the whole thing while traveling, and oof, I really could not recommend this book to anyone. The plot was thinly veiled from the start, the characters were trash (Bailey for example, is the most annoying character ever convinced), the setting was the only thing that the book had going for it, like I’m a sucker for medieval genre novels, and the whole earth not spinning stuff, lit. But it was all so poorly executed it made me want to kill myself. Doesn’t deserve 2 starts, but won’t let me give it 1.5, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thumbs up. Worth reading

Incredibly boring. The characters themselves are weak and act illogically, I understand you have to actually develop a character and pace that well but the pacing is atrocious. They are consistently weak and unable to accomplish anything to the point it’s just annoying to read.

❤️. It’s a great book even tho someone posted this on Wattpad 😕

Should be amazing but it's missing something. This book should be great. It has an interesting world, amazingly horrific events, heroes, and villains. I'm not doing the story justice, as its a well made story, although a bit predictable. The different character viewpoints are well made and it's easy to distinguish between the different viewpoints. However it's just missing something that I can't put my finger on. So it's a good story, but it's missing something that would make this story great.

Great story. I would've given this a 5 star if it hadn't been for the misspellings.

Pleasantly surprised. Quick and exciting read!

Eh okay. Honestly the story line was ok it was a good free book but for some reason was hard to lose myself into

😍. Awesome very very beautiful full of imagination action emotions i loved it

Excellent Series. I've read all of the Moth books and enjoyed each and every one.

Great Imaginative Story. This book is not a genre that I would normally read, but it was the first book in a long time I didn't use as an aid to help me get to sleep. This book had quite the opposite effect. I couldn't put it down. Strong, evolving characters coupled with imaginative, descriptive scenes left me turning pages and reading in bed with one eye open, fighting exhaustion, because I didn't want to go to sleep without finding out what happened next. I fell in love with Koyee, her struggles, her strength, and her adaptability. I'm looking forward to losing more sleep when I read the rest of the series.

Mad ting yhyh. Ooo bbs mental

Moth. This book was amazing, another fine work from a great author, I've read both "misfit heroes" books and can honestly say this was as good, if not better. So much storyline for an introduction into a 6 book series, well worth the read.

Really?. Shallow, not credible, bordering on infantile. Almost an insult to an intelligent reader.

Moth. Really enjoyed it
