Over the top. It's a suspenseful story, as his Karp/Ciampi books usually are. But at times, it reads like a diatribe that could have been written by the airheads on Fox News. It's a very thinly disguised retelling of the Benghazi attack, moved to Chechnya. But Fox and Republicans have been firing blanks, as a dozen different investigations have determined.
Used to be guaranteed entertainment. I've read these books since the beginning. Perfect summer reading yet politically neutral - and even though I started to get sick of the poly lingual daughter who part times as super girl and the beautiful and brilliant and the perfect athlete twin boys (give me a break - their perfection is nauseating!) but this last book soured me off any future readings. Total diatribe going on. Too bad. Lots of detective/thriller good guy/bad guy stuff to read out there without the obvious agenda.
