Sad and thrilling, everything you want from a book!. Freak the Mighty was a book read to me in class for a read aloud. It focuses on Max and Freak, two best friends who embark on unforgettable adventures. There wasn’t much that I expected from the book, and I hardly knew anything about it. Freak the Mighty has way more emotional value than most books I’ve ever read. I caught myself and the rest of my class with tears in our eyes, and our cheeks redder than ever. Act 1 drags. It does, for a few pages. After you met the main characters things will pick up the pace, which is how it is with nearly every book. Act 2 was just nonstop suspense. I found my self at the edge of my seat at every moment. Act 3 is, well, I don’t want to ruin it because it’s one heck of an ending. There you go. Check out this book now, there’s even a movie I’m planning on watching! This weekend, I plan to get the sequel Max the Mighty, can’t wait!! 10/10 👌

Read it, you won’t regret it.. I read this last year and it was one of the best I’ve ever read!

One of the best. This was really one of the best books I have ever read! With thrills every time I read. I read this as a middle school summer assignment. But let me just say that I would read this for my own pleasure. The ending was so sad,though. I could relate to Freak. The author made me feel like every single moment in the story, I was a there either in Max's point of view or Freak's. Honestly I am a 6th grader at the time of this, and I have fallen in love with this. I may even read the sequel. This is an amazing book. I would rate this 10 stars if there was an option!

ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS. This book is so amazing, the friendship between Max and Kevin is awesome, it makes you feel as if you were in the book with them. The book is also really funny😂, Kevin’s banter is so random and hilarious. I definitely recommend this book for everyone over the age of 7. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely Amazing. Words can not describe how funny, suspense filled and touching this book is. We read this for class and I sure wasn’t expecting this golden treasure. I can agree though with all the other commenters who said the book is not that interesting at the beginning but as each character sort of develops you start to spend hours and hours past your bed time reading this book. I will admit that I cried myself at the ending. I also enjoyed all of the historical references in the book as well as Freak and his dictionary (as I am a nerd in the subject English). Overall a fantastic book that I can’t recommend enough.10/10

So sad!. This book was okay in some ways (I liked the friendship part of it), but I really didn't like how it ended. They had been through so much and even saved Max from his dad, but the end was just too sad…
