Secret North. This book was perfect. I have missed Charli in particular and it was fun to read about her and her cute quirky daughter through Bente's and Ryan's story. Such a great series. I read this book in a day because I'm sick in bed and it was just fabulous.

OMG!!!. This book is my favorite out of every single book Gemma has ever written. Ryan is officially my bae, and Bente is so perfect for him. This book was written so perfectly, and I'm gonna read it tens of thousands of times, and still be in love with it the same way. I want a relationship like Bente and Ryan and I wish they were real. I would have loved them. ❤️❤️

Dying to read!!!. I read all of the other three books in a total of a week and then I heard that this book doesn't come out until this month I was so mad, I searches stores libraries but the found out you could only read it on book apps! So until it comes out I will being dying to read it!

Best series!. I have read a lot of series but this one is one of my favorite. This book is awesome. It made me laugh and fall in love with the Decarie men all over again. Can't wait till the next one comes out in December.

Best book of the series!. I really loved Ryan and Bente. Their chemistry was done really well and the characterization of the two has been the strongest of the series. I think as the author continues to write characters for this world, she understands them deeper than from the beginning. Can't wait to see what's in store for Ryan and Bente in the future!

Humorous. It's been a while since I read the first few books of this series and I had forgotten what a wonderful author G.J. Walker-Smith is. Secret North is a simple story but is laugh out loud cute funny. I'm glad I took the time to read it.

Awesome!. I have loved Charlie and Adam's story from the beginning. Adding Ryan, Bente and Bridget only enhance my love for the Wishes series. This book is an awesome read.

Love Ryan & Bente!. I loved reading this book! Ryan and Bridget's relationship is adorable. The dialog is funny, yet heartfelt at times. And, might I add a good job to Bente! I am so happy she believed in Ryan.

Absolutely loved it!. G.J. always has the ability to get me so enraptured by her stories, her characters and the wonderful world she creates. It's the magic within each page that makes this series so special for me. Two words come to mind after reading this novel, Absolutely Amazing! Ryan and Bente's story was filled with humor, Decarie drama, little heartaches and romance, oh yes the romance. We were first introduced to Ryan in Second Hearts as the arrogant, good looking, playboy of a guy. He was quite the jerk, but I still found him irresistible and I have always loved his snarky humor and honesty, even if it was brash at times. Being inside his mind this time around I got to see this whole new side to Ryan Decarie and it was definitely swoon worthy and heartwarming. I loved his relationship with his niece Bridget and their interactions together were just precious . Though there was one particular scene between them that really got to me emotional. "It was big moment for Ryan too. I took a few seconds to study him as he stood looking up at the girl butterfly. He looked completely victorious, and rightly so. He'd just pulled off the impossible and given Bridget her wings back." ~ Bente Bente is a great character in this series for me. She has this feisty and independent nature about her and like Charli I can easily relate to her. Plus she keeps Ryan on his toes. Now for my favorite part, the romance. Ryan and Bente may not have had the best relationship history between them, but when they decide to try again after 5 years apart, it's this second chance that makes them see what they truly mean to one another. Everything. It really was beautiful to see. "I think I should keep you forever." The corner of his mouth lifted into a sly smile. "You should," he agreed. "I'm pretty close to being the complete package." ~ Bente and Ryan It was great to see familiar faces again as well as some new ones, especially the man known as "Tiger". The ending was just perfect for these two and it left a big happy grin on my face. I always love coming back to La La land and can't wait until the next adventure.

Simply beautiful. I absolutely adore every single character in these books. The story is very relatable, but there is just enough magic that gives it a beautiful fairytale twist. The series is also irresistible and extremely hard to put down, and each book is no doubt worth every penny that they cost. Secret North was beautiful, and I loved learning more about Ryan and Bente. Seeing their stories come together was beautiful and wonderful. I can't get enough of these books, and I can't wait for the next addition to the series to come out!

Love this series!!. I received an ARC of Secret North and was, once again, thrilled with reading more about Ryan, Adam and Charli. But, the star of this book is, by far, Bridgett. I keep typing comments and then deleting them because I don't want to give it away! You just have to trust that it's a must read. G. J. Walker-Smith has created this world that isn't without it's flaws but it's a world you'd want to live in none the less...a world where magic is possible.

Emotionally invested. Excellent as ever. Add her on FB for all sorts of updates on the future books, and it will cut back on the intense waiting periods!

Secret North. Really enjoyed this book! Loved the humor & after I figured out what my crazy fellow Americans meant by "stickybeak" & "bolshie" (just to name a few) I was good to go. A couple of sections even brought tears to my eyes but there's nothing like a big *sigh* at the end of a really terrific story. But for me the real measuring stick is the fact that even though it was written as a narrative, I still read & enjoyed it & will read the last few books as well. I would recommend this to anyone but read the other books first. You won't get the family dynamics if you try to read this as a stand alone.

Goosebumps!. First let me tell you, this is by far the best book series!!! Secret North has a little more magic than the first books. At one point I had goosebumps from head to toe!! I have gotten all my family, friends and co-workers addicted to this series. GJ Walker Smith is an amazing author that has this special way of touching your heart and making you want more! This entire series is a MUST READ !!

Amazing story. Another amazingly beautiful told story. I loved Ryan since bk2 and love him even more now. THis is a fantastic story, and so glad to see it's not over. You've done it again! Saving wishes series deserves to be in the top list!!!. Such a beautiful story! I've been waiting for this to come out so the first thing i did this morning was to check it out and guess what? I FELL INLOVE all over again! (Dreamy face) I couldn't put it down.. And now i'll have to wait for another 8 months for another story but i kno you won't let us down!

Fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I LOVE this series, each book had me captivated from the start to the end usually in one sitting! Secret North gives us an insight to Ryan. Everyone needs a Decarie brother in their lives! I only hope there is more to come!

5+ stars. 5+ stars A copy was provided by the author. I have adored this Wishes Series right from the start and not one of the books has fallen below my expectations. I love Adam and Charli from the previous books and they feature strongly BUT this story is about Ryan and Bente. Ryan is an evolving man and it's a joy to read his journey to adulthood (yes I know he's not new to this stage in his life). The biggest delight in this book has to be Bridget. There were numerous times I was laughing out loud to my family's annoyance but Bridget is just so damn funny! If you've not read this series now is the time to start......it's my all out favourite.(less)

Wishes series. I completely love this series.... I read hundreds of books a year, and it's not very often I find a new author that I can add to my favourites list but this one I do...... Well worth the read!!!

I heart Ryan!. If you have read and loved the other books from the Wishes Series, you will not be disappointed in Secret North. The sarcastic and womanising, Ryan Decarie, is front and centre in this book, if you hadn't already taken a shine to his character in the previous books, Secret North will certainly leave you falling in love!

Pure Magic. I was wrong. Of course I was. For me, in previous Wishes books, Ryan never seemed to make the grade - a serial womaniser and a son and brother who dipped in and out of family life as he pleased; on his terms. I knew he was better than that and of course, in Secret North, GJ Walker Smith's writing brought to life a wonderful, considerate, loving, generous man. Secret North is essentially Ryan and Bente's story. For the past few days, I have been thinking about what I would put in my review...it is so important for me to get it right. It is a testament to the writing of GJ, that I keep coming back to the fact that, Secret North isn't just about Ryan and Bente's story. It's a story about Ryan as a brother and about Ryan as an uncle. I love, love, love the dynamics of the Decare family. We get to see Ryan and Adam's relationship as brothers - respecting, loving, supporting, understanding and accepting each other. And we get to see Ryan and Bridget's relationship - which is simply wonderful, really. It's the dialogue between uncle and niece which is pure magic for me. Imagine a grown man conversing with a four year old...not hard when Bridget is a mini Charli, with Charli's mind - watchful, thoughtful and hilarious. Ryan just loves her. Pure and simple. Their relationship is one of the best parts of the book. Another masterpiece of a story.

Secret north. Well another amazing book by the fantastic GJ walker-smith, the story just pulls you in from the start and holds you right there till the very last word and then she goes and throws a sneak peak for the next book, I love the fact we seem to be ageing along with charli, Adam, Bridget and the rest of the gang.

As always I'll tell you something true.... These exceptional stories just keep getting better. You can't fault any of the books from start to finish. Secret north has you hooked from the first page, I finished it on just a few hours. It has the humour and whit of the other books while still bringing something new. It's amazing after so many books how you stay hooked and always want a little bit more of LaLa land. How will we ever say goodbye.Absolutely fantastic.

Secret north brilliant!!!. As usual with this series I loved it and are left wanting more. I can't wait for the next one. I now love Ryan as much as I love Adam. I knew deep down there was a nice guy waiting to be found.

Another wonderful story in the series. I really believe that this series just gets better and better. The love story between Ryan and Bente is funny, beautiful and heartwarming, but is almost eclipsed by the magic of Ryans' relationship with Bridget. I love all the wonderful characters in these stories. It will be difficult to wait until December for the next part of their journeys, but I have no doubt at all that it will be worth it!

Worth the wait!. Fans of The Wishes Series have been hanging out for a lot more Ryan and we got it in this book - believe me, he is worth waiting for. I truly didn't think I would be quite as interested in his storyline, since I was so in love with the stories from the first 4 books. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I read the whole thing in one day and I laughed out loud, cried, scowled and silently cheered. G.J. Walker-Smith has again produced a beautiful book which I urge you all to read (after reading the rest of the series, of course!) :)

Secret North. Do yourself a favour and read all the previous books as they should be read in order and this story in no way disappoints. Love Ryan and his querky ways and Bente is so true! The fairy with wings is absolutely gorgeous and so lovely to read about her fairy mama and daddy! Can't wait for the next instalment!!

Another Magical Addition.. I was super lucky to get an early copy of Secret North. I have adored Ryan from the minute he showed up in Second Hearts. This story was another fantastic addition to the series. Ryan and Bridget's relationship is a beautiful one. GJ Walker-Smith always manages to spin a magical tale, I don't know how she does it. She made me laugh and cry. She even converted me to an Adam Lover, which is no mean feat. Secret North was just perfect. It is Secret North.

Set your compass to Secret North... Ryan and Bente have a spark between them. Whether they are laughing or fighting, their chemistry ignites the page and leaves you wanting another hit. I was worried about losing Charli's magic in a novel based on the skeptical Ryan, but Secret North is as enchanting and magical as its predecessors. GJ Walker-Smith's writing style leaves you with no choice but to experience the emotions of her characters right alongside them. It makes for a turbulent ride (there may be tears) and an impossible-to-put-down read. My new favourite book in the Wishes Series.

Secret North Magic. I distinctly remember buying Saving Wishes, the first book in the Wishes Series by my now favourite author, GJ Walker Smith. I liked the cover and the blurb so I gave it a shot. Wow! Was that a great decision. I was transported to my home away from home - La La Land. It's a world of magic, love, fairy stories that leave you breathless not to mention the hot hot men (Alex, Adam or Ryan, can’t choose...) As I quickly devoured the following books - Second Hearts, Sand Jewels and Storm Shells, I was continually blown away by the brilliance, the wit, the romance and the intelligence shining through the beautiful characters, their unique voices and of course the locations. Secret North offers the reader Ryan Decarie in all his glory. I loved loved loved this book and it sits proudly in this epic series. Thank you GJ Walker-Smith, you’ve done it again!

Ryan's Story!. Another great book in The Wishes series! This is Ryan's story but still features Charli and Adam and their hilarious daughter Bridget. It's as funny and entertaining as the rest of the series.

True North. One of my faves out of the whole series - although I do love them all and I read the entire collection rather often. Hearing from Ryan's delightfully arrogant witty voice was a clever move for the series; piquing interest levels from a fabulous new perspective. Well done!

One of the best I've read!. Amazing. Awe inspiring. Heartfelt. Funny. These are some words to describe the book. Sad, happy, touched, moved, happy, joyful. These are the emotions I felt whilst reading. The Wishes Series is the best I've ever read. It is like magic. It's like you end up being in the story. Gemma captivates you in such a way with her writing that it makes you feel like you are there, living in the moment, living in LaLaLand, rather than actually reading it. The series is something that reading it once will never be enough. I just finished reading Secret North and am ready to begin the journey all over again! Happy reading everyone!

Mind blowing series ❤️❤️😱. Since I have read the first book 'saving wishes' ... I haven't looked back. This series is not only about a 'happily ever after- the end'. It is so much deeper and represents the ups and downs of the life ... Every book has the same beautiful depth to it ... And they all reflect that hope and magic should always be in r hearts b'coz they make life so much more refreshing and beautiful. Characters are veryyy unique and sooo adoring and connectable 😍😁 you can't get enough of them. Love ur writing style romance- reality- sarcasm- love- friendship... Ryan Decarie my honey. Well you have met one of the handsome Decarie brothers, Adam. You finally get a full novel on his brother Ryan. Ryan features in all three of the full novels, Saving Wishes, Second Hearts and Storm Shells, and we finally get some one on one time with him and following his love life. You have to have read the first three books to understand Ryan and his ways, and GJ Walker-Smith did an excellent job with his story. Ryan is a womaniser ( there are harsher words, but I don't think ibooks would allow my review if I used those words) he plays the field, and really who could blame him, young, rich, drop dead gorgeous... I would let him do whatever he pleases to me...but he finally meets someone who he is willing to give up those ways for... You will not be disappointed in the book, you will fall in love with Ryan all over again and Miss Bridget will warm your hearts. I was lucky enough to receive this book as an arc, I hope,you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Dim Wit!. Was there a story told in that book ?? Nothing happened!! Really ?? Skip it and wait for the next instalment.

Never disappointed GJ!!. Another one of the Wishes series I couldn't put down. So glad Ryan became a real man, and love him and Bente together. Teared up when Bridge got her wings, of course. Loved the ending.... Loved every bit of it!

Not Downloading. This is my second time trying to buy this book, and it is not working for me. I have gotten my money refunded twice and I really want to read the book. I want to try again in the future when it's fixed but I'm afraid to buy any other books from this author even though they're very good. I hope this problem gets fixed soon.

You did it again!!. Yup, you wrote another book that I couldn't put down! The characters personalities are so well written that you feel like you know them or want to know them. The quirkiness, the lightness of the la la land aspect, the nicknames.....it wraps me up every time. Thank you, thank you for continuing with this group of characters and their stories.

LaLa land is real!. I've always been a believer. I have. But for those of you who aren't, this book will sway you like no other. I'm a huge fan of G.J. Walkersmith. And I hold her Wishes Series very close to my heart. Secret North is just as beautiful as the rest. Ryan was a bad boy, a selfish boy, a boy who needed someone to show him what love was all about. Her name is Bridget! Bridget is a four year old genius, with spunk and tenacity like no other. She allowed him to pave a way in his heart for the girl of his dreams, Bente. Joining forces with Charlie and Adam, and Ivy too, Ryan is taken on a trip down fairy way and stops smack dad in the middle of awesome. The ending was perfect, the characters were vibrant and true. I miss everyone already and I just finished reading it 10 minutes ago. G.J walkersmith is brilliant, funny, honest and makes you believe. No matter what. Can't wait to read what's next!
