The Rescue at Dead Dog Beach. I don’t see how anyone could read this book without shedding tears. I love animals,too, but I wouldn’t be as brave as Steve. I’ll never understand how humans can be so cruel to other creatures or humans. To laugh about it is sick. They have no feelings except joy of murder. They are worse than animals and so are the authorities that permitted it.
Review. At times this was hard to read because of the horrific stories of cruelty, but was told in such a compelling way that it was also hard to put down. It was good to know of the organizations working to prevent the cruelty described in this book.
The Rescue at Dead Dog Beach. There aren’t enough words to express how this book affected me. The author made me cry and feel very deeply for these precious animals. Truly a work of love. Most of us can only save one animal at a time. He saved many.
Rescue, Rescue, Rescue. After reading this book you will understand why rescuing is important and needed. Although I have owned both pure bred and rescues, I have to say the rescues were always the best behaved, nicest of all. The story is told in a very factual way without a lot of sentiment. It gave a gruesome picture of animal cruelty. But it shows what one person or a handful of people can do to help. A must read for an animal lover.
