Great story. I love the Academy series, however I've noticed that there seems to be several pages missing from this book. It might be my copy didn't download correctly, but it seems the last page/s before a chapter change are missing. If I hadn't paid for the book it wouldn't bother me so much, but shelling out money for a digital copy that isn't complete is frustrating.

Thief. My new favorite author is officially C.L. Stone. After reading the first five books of the Academy series I was hooked. Thief is separate from the Academy books and has completely new characters and it's also has more mature stuff in it. Thief is about a pick-pocketer named Kayli who steal wallets from people in order to support her brother and her druken father. One day she pick-pockets from one of the guys from the academy that have been sent to find her. Soon Kayli joins the team of Brandon, Axel, Raven, Marc, and Corey and finds herself growing attached to them. It's her job to pick-pocket from a handsome rich guy named Blake and find out what he's keeping a secret from everybody. Thief is full of romance, action, suspense, and comedy. I can't wait till Liar comes out and the next Academy book comes out in June.

Loved it!. Another great book! I wasn't sure if I would like reading about another Academy team since Im so in love with the other Academy group from the ghost bird series but I really liked it! I learned more about the Academy in this book than the last 5 books on the other series so that was a bonus. I cant wait for the next book to be available!!!

Great book. It's for mature audience & not like the other academy series. It's a great book. It grabs your interest & doesn't let go. I can't wait for the second book to come out. Wish I could pre-order it now.

Holy cow!!!. Great writing, good characters, great storyline definitely a good read to make you laugh and scratch your head wondering what Kayli will do next........on to book no. 2...... The drama continues.....but not in an aggravating tease of leaving too much untold. You could stop at this book........I sure don't.

I’m too biased.. I tried to get into this book and there were parts I really liked but the whole time I kept comparing her to Sang. I know they’re not meant to have similar personalities and of course Kayli is supposed to be her own character but I couldn’t help it.

Five Stars!. Ok, I'm young, like preteen. And this book is one that I could not put down! I NEVER read so it was very surprising to me that I read so much in so little time. I've had this book for what? About a week! Very interesting and I loved it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good read for a long while. 😊👌 Great book

The Academy Thief. Horrible. Don't waste your time.

A Shame. This story has potential, but the main character is an 18 year old girl who makes out with several young men throughout the book. She hops around from bed to bed and just can’t decide which hot guy she wants to let feel her up permanently. It’s just too much.

Where to start. So this book really only has two pros to it and that’s the plot and characters, hence the two stars. The rest of the book is made up of so many cons I don’t know where to even start. First and foremost, the main character is annoying with her wish-washy feelings and constant back and forth of who to trust. Secondly, the whole start to the book is her doing everything she can to take care of her brother but then suddenly doesn’t really care for him? She barely asks about him and just takes their word for it that he’s okay? She’s with them eating as much as possible and living in a safe place but gives no thought to her brother staying in the horrible place you were before and not even worrying how he is able to feed himself?!? Like I’m sorry, but if that was my little sister, I would have brought her into this with me so I could have her in sight and be able to protect her myself or at least have her moved someplace else with money and security. Thirdly, she ends up with bruises like every day and they are only addressed in the moment then forgotten about for the rest of the book as if they just disappeared. I didn’t realize bruises healed in hours? Like if you cared for her and really liked her you aren’t going to ask about what should have been the obvious hand-like bruise on her neck from only the night before? No there are clearly more important things, and it didn’t happen when they were around so it doesn’t exist and never happened. Makes total sense. There are other little annoying things throughout the book I could rant about like the lack of showering and not brushing teeth at all throughout the mere DAYS she was with them, which was also so poorly conveyed because it seemed like a week, but these were the main big ones. Overall, this was a poorly thought out book written for maybe a middle or high school reader who has never read anything more advanced.

The Academy Thief. A quick read with lots of interesting twists. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

NO POLYGAMY!!. Yay. Haha. I am so happy one of them is gay so it won't be an extremely awkward read like the other Academy series. I like this story much more!!

Respect. this book is addicting, but it's been upsetting me with the characters saying "God" or "Jesus" when something doesn't go there way or whatever. what makes it worse is that it's always lower cased. Its offensive to those who are Christians.

Omg!!!!!!. I love this book!! I have been reading some of the other comments and is their another series? Please at least say that kayli is in it!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why everyone is freaking out over the divergent series! This book is so much better! Also don't read the description it does not do the book justice. Also if u are very sensitive to swearing u might want to read a different book

The thief by C L Stone. I loved the characters! Kayli is Darling and I can see why everyone fell for her. I can't wait to read more.

Awesomenessss!. Another great book by C.L! At first, I felt that it was hard to get in this series. I realized that I was still too hung up on Ghost Bird series. So, I cleared my mind and kept reading. And the book delivered in so many ways. Looking forward to reading more of this series for sure! Go Team Kayli!!!

Hilarious, suspenseful, intriguing!. This story had my heart racing, had me laughing out loud, had me loving these guys. I couldn't get enough! You won't be able to put it down! It's too good! I had to buy the next book as soon as I finished this one!

C.l. Stone does it again. C.l. Stone does it again with another great book. New characters, new ideas, new mysteries everything is great about this new series. Can't wait for the next book already!!

MUST READ. I love books, and am extremely cynical in judgement, but I love the entire Academy series. I've read all the books and will for many more. C. L. Stone is a godsend. More creative, beautiful books like these need to be written. Thank you for writing The Academy.

The Academy- Thief. Wow, what a book. It was a privilege to read such a well written story. The pace was good with action around every corner. There was suspense, mystery and thrills. An intriguing love angle with plenty of talent to choose from but our heroine couldn't make up her mind. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great book all in all.... I found the plot very interesting and the way the characters personalities are so different makes it great. I felt there was too many problems, like one problem solved gets a phone call another problem but that was the only flaw I found. The pacing was fast but in a way that it made sense and the way the plot was set out, like it's all based on curiosity, makes it so relatable. In the end it's a great book and I highly recommend it!

WOW!!!!. A brand new book for a brand new series! Another glimpse into the world of the Academy, this time from an older perspective. It was great, fast-paced, exciting and emotional! Kayli was a multi-faceted character with complications and quirks that endeared her to me, while the boys were fun, charming and aggravating... very much the protective, energy-filled teenage boys that one might expect, yet with their own character quirks that stood to both individualise them and forge a stronger team unit. The cligg-hanger ending has left me anxious for more, while the excerpts might tide me over until another release. At least the wait is merely months and not years! Keep up the fantastic work, Ms. Stone!!

Good plot.. Unique series, enjoyable read. Great to read something different from the usual romance plot.

LOVE ITTT. I absolutely loved this book. It was very refreshing and had a nice plot and had romance on the side that gave it a little siz. Love it, the only thing is..... I have to pay to read the next one🤣🤣❤️.

Enjoyable.. I feel like Stone has learnt from her mistakes, or commonly disliked aspects of her other Academy series. The protagonist is stronger, and more independent. There are still hints of past domestic violence and troubled family relationships, but it is much more diluted and palatable. The main character, Kayli also shares less weird tenancies with the male 'companions' or potential lovers than Sang did. Overall, appeals to a wider audience because it is less full on than the other series, and I would say it was worth the $3.99. It sure lasted longer than a chocolate muffin would have.

Awful. This in in my Top Ten worst books I’ve ever read list. It’s just that bad it’s embarrassing.

Compelling and frustrating. I would have loved to give it a higher rating. The storyline is interesting. It's a shame it was so poorly written. I cannot look past the mistakes and the frustrating main character. An editor is desperately needed.

The Academy Thief. This book was way too long. It was fine when there was action, but there were so many places where it just dragged on and on that I often wanted to just give up. I will not be reading the sequels.
