Falling Under by Jasinda Wilder Book Summary

My name is Colton Calloway. You've heard part of my story, but it turns out there's more. My little girl, Kylie, is all grown up. Seventeen, beautiful, and talented, just like her mother. And just like Nell, my daughter seems to have fallen for a bad boy, one with a lot of darkness and a lot of secrets.

*  *  *

You thought you knew the whole story. You thought it was over. Happily ever after for everyone.

You were wrong.

My name is Oz Hyde, and you’ve never met me. I’m part of the story, too, but I’m an aside, a quick line or two you’d all but forgotten about. Well guess what? I’ve got my own story to tell.

Buckle up, ‘cause this is gonna be a hell of a bumpy ride.

5 stars. AMAZING SERIES! I literally couldn't stop reading them. Please write more!!

Meh. Not bad. Not as good as the first. First there's the time line. Falling into You references songs released in 2012. This is supposed to take place 20 years later. Not much meat to the story.

Loved it.. It has the ups, downs and true reality to it.

Okay I lied this might be my favorite.. This story was very unexpected, I went into wanting more of Colt & Nell + Becca & Jason but boy fast forwarding to their kids future & the love story that unfold between Kylie & Oz?!?!? You never know what you need until you get it & this book was pure awesomeness. I also really loved the change in perspective getting it from Oz & Colt it was very difficult & I loved that so much.

Another MUST read!. So a year ago Jasinda turned my world upside down with Falling into You, I absolutely loved it and is still a top fav of mine. Colt and Nell captured my heart. This one just blew me away and just reinforced my love for this author and her work. I won't give much away but if you are fan of this series then you MUST read it! And if you haven't read the first two books, you HAVE to read them before reading this one. I love how this story tied into the first two so yes that means you get more Colt, Nell, Becca and Jason❤️ This story is told from alternate POV from Colt and Oz which you'll really get to know him. I loved getting more Colt and fell even more in love with him which I didn't think was possible. So go get your copy and love it just like I did!

Awesome book by Jasinda wilder. What a great unexpected surprise!! Thank you Jasinda! Falling under was a great book, I loved what this book was about and how it read. There was still some Nell and colt as well as Jason and becca which was great! I loved how it was told from both colts and ozs pov that was awesome. If u haven't read Jasinda a stuff yet. What are u waiting for?! This is a stand alone she says but to get the full effect of the characters I would read both the first 2 "fallings" first also just because she is that awesome! Great book, great writing, I can never get enough of Jasinda!!

Not so good. I lost interest in this book before I got half way through. I only finished it because of the bits and pieces of Nell and Colts that were part of the book.

Perfection!!!!!. A purely wonderful follow up to Falling Into You and Falling Into Us. I loved being a part of Colt & Nell's lives again. Plus with the added perk of Jason & Becca made it so great! Then we got to meet Kylie & Oz whose relationship just blew me away. I loved this book!!!!!

Another Hit by Jasinda. I was so excited when Jasinda announced this book. It was so unexpected and I was so upset that I couldn't read it right away do to a crazy real life that monopolized this book's release week. I really wanted to read this because I have loved every single Jasinda Wilder book that I have ever read and Falling Under was no different. Out of all the books in the Falling Series, it's in the top 3. (Did you see what I did there? diplomacy, baby! I just can't pick my favorite.) This book may be viewed as a stand alone BUT to get the full experience, the full emotional pull, I do recommend at least reading the first book in the series, Falling Into You. "You can't learn about love without getting hurt." I seriously bawled my eyes out with the first two books of the series but not with this one. But that doesn't mean it's not as good. It just tugged at different emotions than the other two. And after reading so many books lately that exhausted my Kleenex supply, I was so ready for different. Though, I do have to say, this scene really got to me: "I don't want to hurt you, Kylie." "You already did." I groan. "You really don't know what you're asking for, with a guy like me." "Shouldn't I get to be the judge of that?" "Yeah, maybe. But I've got a choice too," I say. "And you choose to reject me." :( I loved the relationship between Oz and Kylie: the not-so-worthy bad boy and the beautiful girl who fell in love with him. I loved the parallels of their relationship with Nell and Colt's. I will say here that I was just a little disappointed that I didn't get Nell's POV. I always connected with her, but I will have to say it was refreshing to have all in the POV of the males, especially when one of those males was Colt.

Falling Under. What a clever collaboration of events from the previous stories to create this story within this series. I love how everything continues from both Nell & Colt and Becca & Jason stories’ to emphasize Kylie & Oz story. Reading this series is like getting a long overdue hug from a best friend or favorite family member you haven’t seen in a long time. I love how this story hits the heartstrings and makes you fall in love.

LOVED!. What a beautiful love story and what they say is true opposites to attract. Nell and Colt's story was amazing and beautiful and now we get to read their daughters love story. Oz is the bad boy in town and Kylie is the good girl, they are drawn together and have to struggle with some issues, in the end this is a beautiful love story that I enjoyed reading from beginning to end!

Not that great.... I loved Falling Into You so much and I really enjoyed Falling Into Us as well. But, I really couldn’t get into this book. I couldn’t stand Oz and Kylie didn’t really have any unique qualities to her… I just didn’t feel attatched to her the way I did with Nell and Becca. Oh, I just realized that Kylie is named after Kyle. Anyway, about halfway through I just skimmed through the book and looked for any pieces about Colton and Nell. I love Colt and Nell; I wish there was more to their story. So this book just wasn’t for me, but I still love the others and I will always love Nell, Colton, Becca, and Jason.

Another gem by Jasinda. Jasinda Wilder’s Falling series is one of the first new adult series I read and it’s no surprise it remains one of my favorites to this day. You can only imagine how excited I was to learn she was releasing a super secret book set years in the future, but with the same characters. I cleared my plate of all other things and immediately dived in and only stopped reading to go to work. I devoured it on release day and I’m not at all sorry about it. Falling Under is the story of Kylie Calloway and Oz Hyde. Kylie is the daughter of Colton and Nell from Falling Into You. Oz Hyde is the “bad boy” she becomes acquainted with while taking college classes. This book is told from dual perspectives, but not Kylie and Oz’s as you would expect. Instead, Jasinda offers a fresh twist and tells this one from Colton and Oz’s perspective. I wasn’t sure how that would work out, or what the ultimate reason for doing it was (though I had a fear that THANKFULLY was wrong), but I can’t imagine this story told any other way. As I’ve come to expect from Jasinda’s books, I fell in love with her characters immediately. While we don’t get Kylie’s POV, we learn all about her from her dad and from Oz. She was sheltered and innocent, but not unrealistically so. She was very intelligent and musically-inclined. She had goals. She was the daughter of two relatively-famous musicians, but she was determined to make her own way. I absolutely adored her. There’s no other way to say it. Oz was wonderful. A bad boy with a past and tattoos that spell it out, he’s not necessarily the guy a parent would want his seventeen year old daughter spending time with. He had some self-destructive habits that were particularly concerning to Colton and Nell. He was older, but he was very cognizant of the line he was unwilling to cross with Kylie. He thought she deserved more than him and didn’t want to drag her down, regardless of how he was attracted to her and regardless of the connection they shared. He was a really great guy with a genuinely good heart. He was into music, too, but his tastes ran more towards angry metal than the country Kylie listened to. They started as friends, quickly partnered up to make music and eventually grew into something real and beautiful. There aren’t words for how much I loved Colton as a daddy. I loved Colton and Nell, so it was wonderful to catch up with them again in this book. They’re still the characters I fell head over heels for in Falling Into You, but they’ve matured and I think I love them even more as parents. Colton’s chapters were powerful. It was easy to see how conflicted he was about Kylie and Oz and, more than that, it was understandable. He wanted better for his daughter, but he recognizes the similarities between Oz and himself at a younger age. His life wouldn’t be what it is today if someone hadn’t given him a chance to prove there was more to him than met the eye. Through it all, he recognized how deeply the two felt for each other and the way their actions reflected the depth of those feelings. How could that be wrong? The other character I just have to mention is Ben. His parents are Becca and Jason from Falling Into Us. I just loved Ben, even with his faults. He’s Kylie’s next door neighbor and best friend. He has been in love with her for years, but was waiting until she was older to tell her. He waited too long. Colton came along and he didn’t stand a chance. It broke my heart in some ways, but Kylie and Colton were so right together, and I couldn’t feel too bad about it. Ben was a complicated guy. He had a temper that got him into trouble, but I still adored him. I can’t wait until he gets his own book. There’s so much more to know about him. Can you tell the characters are really the driving force behind my love for this series? I could gush about them forever. But the storyline was incredible, too. It fit so nicely into the Falling series, but despite the parallels between Colton and Oz, I never felt like I was reading a story I already knew. Now, there’s a pretty GIGANTIC reveal in this book that I figured out from the beginning. (OK, I guessed it was one of two things and thankfully it was the one I could live with.) But, I can understand how it would take a reader by surprise. Even though I figured it out, the implications were not lost on me. It took my breath away. Falling Under was the total package for me. It brought back characters I love and let me get to know them in a completely different setting. It was romantic and sweet and sexy. It focused on friendship, family, love and the future. It was flawless. I felt all the feels. I used about half a box of tissues. I ended all but hugging my iPad and with a giant, goofy, satisfied grin on my face. I loved everything about it and thank Jasinda for giving readers another story to fall in love with.

Falling Under. As sweet as Kylie & Oz's story was, it wasn't nearly as intense, sad and sexy as Colt & Nell's story. Loved how the book was told from Oz & Colt's preservative.

Amazing!!. The only word I have is LOVE! This book had me feeling so many things. I laughed, I cried, several moments I realized I was holding my breath. Jasinda is a master at getting readers captivated. Another fantastic book :)

Good!. This is the 3rd book in this series and I love this one as much as the others. Off to start the next one!
