Awesome!!!. This was my first time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the story and the humor. I have to admit Shirley was my favorite the bumper stickers (Cougar Alert...lol) funny!!! Great Read, I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

One of the worst books I've tried to read. **spoilers** I say tried because I couldn't even finish reading the whole thing. I have never written a review before and I was so upset that I decided for this to be my first one, to warn people. First of all I have to admit, I loved the idea of the masquerade ball, the personalities of the characters and their personal stories. But then you get to the part where he finds her after she left her phone and everything goes south!!!! You mean to tell me two families come together and act as if they already are one big happy family?! And worse, the two main characters are in love already?! They've known each other one day for gods sake. I understand these novels are fiction and honestly, women like me read them to have some fairy tale butterflies in our lives but at the same time we look for books that are realistic.

Not great. This book was just ok. The pace of the plot was strange, and the author really was trying to make a point about the glass ceiling women encounter. It was a thread throughout the book, and it makes you think the author may be taking the romance book genre a little too seriously. I don't plan on purchasing other books by this author because based on this book, I don't think this author's other books will be worth the slightly higher prices than other romance novels that sell at a lower price.

Great book!. Amazing!

Disappointing. I only finished this book because I loved the authors other books and wanted to give this one a chance. It never got better. Terrible book, nothing at all charming about it.

Girl Power. Awesome! Nice to read a story of a high powered CEO that's female. Can't wait for the next story in this series. I love all Kathleen Brooks books.

Great read!. Just when I thought the book was getting to be a typical romance Kathleen throws in a twist that keeps me reading and waiting for more Women of Power. This is going to be another great series with love, suspense and humor all woven together.

The Chosen. Overly simple story lines and characters have their place - for those new to chapter books. Inspiring in the sense that you're left feeling you can write novels too if all it takes are short sentences and superficially drawn characters.

Could not put it down. I don't normally have my nose in a book, but I did with this one. Author developed characters well and gave you that feeling of being in the family, as well as wanting to follow each member's individual story.

So Very Enjoyable. Love how close the siblings are. This book held my attention. I enjoyed reading what Kathleen Brooks has written. I like it that this series doesn’t involve a lot of books.

Meh. This one was meh. First one of Kathleen Brooks I can say that about though. Others have been excellent. Dialogue and flow in this one was a bit stilted. But for free, can't really complain as it was a fairly enjoyable read.

Woman of Power pt.1. The book was perfect and beautifully written. I couldn't help but imagine a love as perfect as Elle and Drake. Also the love and success of her family. Just perfect.

Definitely not in Keeneston anymore. I'm going to start with I love all the Bluegrass books. They are some of my favorite. This book, however, did not meet the standard set with those books. The plot was wafer thin, the romance rushed and seemed over before it really got started. The upside is the character development is great; they are just as believable and like able as the Bluegrass crew. For a quick easy romance with just a touch of suspense it was just ok and I will try Built for Power when it comes in August and hopefully my faith will be restored.

Enjoyed the first book in the series. The thing I like best about this book is the logical way the main female character thinks. None of the back and forth inner voice of self doubt. The female lead is confident and the dialogue with her love interest is refreshing....none of the angst of so many formula romances. I know it was an unrealistic beginning to their relationship, but I loved seeing the characters unfold together, and the introduction of each of the Simpson sisters was great. Looking forward to the other books in the series which I read are even better.

Not her usual work. I really enjoyed the authors other series (lawyer, the model, the town), this book was a bit of torture to get through. Unbelievable true love, the back story was extremely unrealistic, it was almost not needed. Story line and plot ideas were repeated more then once, to the point where I thought I was rereading the same page over and over again. Hot sex...check. Future books to come....check. Did I download it.....check. Will I purchase more from this series....definitely not.

Elle. It takes a lot of hard work to build a business, managing a family runner global Multi-billion business. Elle keeps them all running even though they’re liars, cheats, and competitors to take over. So letting your hair down one night at a masquerade party for Children hospital where she meets Drake. Let the adventures begin.

Power,love,money. Easy quick read, story line was great, enjoyed the characters especially Shirley-hilarious. Can wait to read the other books about the siblings!

Loved it!!!!!!!!. This is yet another wonderful story and book by Kathleen Brooks. It goes to show that the main couple is powerful in their own right in the business world, yet together they are unstoppable. Also, that no matter what happens, family and true will always be there for you no matter what.

Cute story. It was entertaining but it was too fast. Characters and situations require a little more time to develop. The first sexual encounter was unbelievable, it makes a woman CEO look cheap and a typical bimbo to have sex with a stranger in a masquerade party. Professional woman don't risk their position like a red hot male in heat. More time invested in planning the take over would have been a great read. The ex boyfriend should have not been successful a second time. Taking over Titan was incredibly naive. This is like a make believe fairy story written for non experienced women looking for a romantic harlequin book. Author should have taken the opportunity to write a more interesting book. Will not read others. Free books are supposed to be so good to make readers want to read more.

Ok read.. Not nearly as good as the Bluegrass series. However, I did purchase the rest of the series. I'm reading Destined for Power now. The books do get better as the series progresses.

Chosen for Power. I couldn't put it down finished it in one night. The chemistry between Drake and Elle you could feel and as if you were in the room. Every time the author wrote Elle and her sisters enjoying ice cream, I wanted some too. Only thing it just end no finish,

Chosen for power. I love this series,Drake is such a romantic and Elle is a strong woman perfect to take on the corporate world, together they bring this book to life. Everyone should have a guy like Drake who doesn’t love a romantic.

Great. Well written, great characters and good to read

Love it!!. I fell in love with Kathleen’s books from the very beginning and was gutted when the Keenston stories came to an end. I am so happy that she has now come up with another great bunch of characters. Downloaded and read today, I am now in love with the Simpson family and their friends. Can’t wait until the next story…….please hurry!!

Unexpected Good Read. At first I was a little concerned this would be too romance heavy, but was delightfully surprised. Loved the characters and the way the plot unfolded. For once I didn’t know who did it until the end. (and that’s a good thing😊)

Great start to a new series!. A really good read and start to Kathleen's new series. The only down side is waiting for the next one!
