Don't Let Go (The Invisibles) by Michelle Lynn Book Summary

Sadie Miller is attempting to change her ways and hide somewhere no one knows her former self. She only wants to finish her final year of college, obtain her degree, and get out from the hold of her affluent parents. Then she meets Brady Carsen, the lead singer of The Invisibles, a popular local band in the college town. She tries to stay away but quickly realizes that, although he might not be what she’s used to, he’s exactly what she needs and more importantly, everything she could possibly want.

Unfortunately, Sadie’s troubled past left her with insecurities that make her question Brady’s true intentions. And while Brady is convinced that Sadie is the one for him, he has his own secrets that he fears will be their undoing. If they want to be together, they will have to stand united and fight the outside influences that are threatening to tear them apart. Can they put their pasts behind them for good in order to secure their future?

True love story. I wish more people had the heart to fight to stay together. I’m confused why the last epilogue was about Grant, the author missed a chance to add to their love story.

Best book ever. I love this book so much! Definitely worth reading more than once!

Too much drama. Had too many scenarios going at once needed to stick with one general idea.. Dealing with past mistakes. Trying to correct past mistakes. Outside influences trying to sabotage the relationship. Hiding from a past. These are a few of the issues discussed in this story. The story lines are all over the place. Brady is a lead singer in a band. Not really sure why this is relevant to the story since it's not really a rockstar story. It's only mentioned as to portray jus image by setting him apart from hers. Brady bumps into Sadie literally at a bar he is performing at. He had earlier in the week spotted her coming out of her dorm and wanted to pursue her then but he could not find her. So many layers woven together but they never flow. Instead they become fillers. The roommate dating Rob who teases Sadie, Grant who warns Sadie, the day at the farmers market, Jessa noticing Brady in the same clothes to cause doubt in Sadie, and Sadie being disrespectful of her parents calling on her birthday. All these situations get mentioned yet nothing revealed as to their importance or relevance to the story. Dealing with issues I've read before: death of a close person and blaming themselves, being promiscuous, drinking and doing drugs, disconnected to parents. Sex scenes read like a Manuel with step by step instructions of each move. Shower sex is no different from what I've read before. Wash, rinse, repeat. Sadie needs too much reassuring with Brady. He compliments her, spoils her, and protects her. Yet she still holds doubt. I feel like this author wrote about her personal experience and needed to share her story for approval. So many random topics. I can't imagine the author forgot to mention anyone single detail. The drama is overkill. The spoiled rich girl is taking a stand against her parents. I don't think this is an actual accurate portrayal of how socialite families behave. Now I know why the story is so long the author wants to make sure jealousy and sabotage come into play next. The drama never ends. It's like a soap opera.

Reminds me too much of wattpad. This book is alright and the story is decent but the writing reminds me too much of wattpad. Nothing against it but it feels like it could have been smoother.
