You Make Me Book Summary

I fell passionately in love with my foster brother, Heath, before he left without a word and broke my naïve heart.

I’ve reinvented myself, put the past totally behind me. I’m no longer Cat, the wild child running free on an island off the coast of Maine. I’m Caitlyn, with the perfect boyfriend, and the perfect life, all based on lies.

But then brooding Heath appears out of nowhere, honorably discharged from the Marines, the night I get engaged. He is determined to win me back, and I have to resist him. I have to, or all my secrets will be exposed.

But when one love allows me to breathe, and the other feels as essential to my life as air, how do I choose between them…

You Make Me - Erin McCarthy Book Reviews

  • Eh (straighttalker198)

    Not
  • Cute story (lb2307)

Overall, this one was the best of the series. Cute romantic story. Easy and captivating to read.
  • Loved it but.... (Amadahy626)

This book spoke to me hardcore but the ending lacked proper transition. They are kissing in the rain on campus on Thanksgiving then suddenly at her parents house putting up a Christmas tree, it skipped over the change of setting. That’s why only 4 stars.

    Amazing ❤️ couldn’t stop reading
  • You Make Me (Razorback Girl 59)

Erin McCarthy is a very good writer. The book flowed well and kept you wanting to keep reading well past your bedtime!
  • Sad (PSemones)

Everyone fell apart in this book, to me so much was left out.
  • A beautiful loves story!!! (Cheryl SDS)

4.5 Stars This beautiful love story is book one in the Blurred Lines series and it features Heath Deprey and Caitlyn Michaud. They fell in love as teens but were torn apart for years. They meet again but circumstances have changed and she's engaged to someone else. So many twists and turns, unexpected events that one or the other didn't know about. I love witnessing their journey. It was emotional and heartbreaking and very beautiful. I am looking forward to book 2.
  • LOVED IT (Mtn524)

This book pulls at your heart strings. Erin really knows how to pull the reader in and make them empathize and relate with the characters! It was an easy read but full of emotion, spark, intimacy, and love. I would read this 100x's over again! Well done!
  • Did not finish (Debunz)

The beginning was okay but I wasn't hooked at all. I hate not finishing books but I just couldn't continue this one. By the middle of the book, I could no longer turn a blind eye to the heroine annoying personality. Thank goodness this was free on IBooks. I would be really mad if I spent money on this. Don't think I'll be reading any books by this author in the future
  • Modern Writing (awesome music person)

Hashtag, really? You are going to use "hashtag" in a book? Ugh, that's deplorable *Sigh*

Great Plot, but poorly written.. The plot of this book had potential, but the writing was horrible. Yes the love story was deep, however the author didn't make me the reader feel excited or worried....nothing except happy the main characters stayed together. Also I COULD NOT stand how the main character Caitlyn, kept CRYING! OMG! I got so annoyed! I liked the plot, but this book was horribly written. Sad.

Couldn't put it down!!. I read this book in 1 night. What an emotional roller coaster, don't even start this book if you plan on doing anything else other than reading. It's addictive, I had to keep reading because I had to know what would happen with Heath and Cat. I absolutely loved this book!!

Warning. Do not start this book if you have anything to do for the next few hours. I was totally sucked in from the first page and it was almost painful to put it down. Really well done.

LOVED!. I really enjoyed reading You Make Me...it was filled with drama, love, sexiness and my favorite - moments of wanting to throw my kindle or reach in and smack the characters silly for being so "ugh" sometimes! (cause no good romance doesn't have these). If you love or even like any of Erin's past books, you will enjoy this one too! Erin did an amazing job of making the reader understand what Cat & Heath were feeling! Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

You make me. loved, loved this book. true romance. it never dies. Cat had it but it slipped away. Now, Cat is older and in love with a "safe" guy but in walks the one person she never got over, Heath. Will they find love again? I cant tell you, buy the book. super good. Erin McCarthy never fails.

You Make Me. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest New Adult book by Erin McCarthy. I loved both of the main characters, Caitlyn and Heath. I was a little worried in the beginning that it was going to be a love triangle, which I don't particularly care for, but it was handled in a way that didn't bother me at all. There was plenty of angst in this one, and I enjoyed all of the ups and downs that the characters went through. The storyline kept me interested, and I couldn't put the book down. Caitlyn was abandoned by her first love, Heath, at a critical moment in their relationship and her life. Now in college, she is in a relationship with a guy she believes is the right sort for her, and she has worked very hard to make a new life for herself. When Heath suddenly appears, all of the hard one perfection of her new life is threatened. This book had great characters and my heart broke at times for both of them. I loved the intense emotion of this book, and each moment of reading it gave me great pleasure. I'm already highly anticipating the next book in the series.

You Make Me (Some Spoilers). You Make Me (With Spoilers) You Make Me captured all the feelings of a first love. Cat and Heath are in love. He comes back in her life 4 years later as Caitlyn is about to marry Ethan and all her feelings for Heath come back. While both men had flaws. I really felt Heath was the better man. This book deals with friendships. loyalty and passion too. I really enjoyed it. My favorite quote “Because I couldn’t accept what you said. Because you belong to me. And I belong to you. Cat and Heath.” He ran his finger over the tattoo on the inside of my wrist, brought it to his lips. “Forever.”
