Disappointed. My lease favorite in the series for a couple different reasons. First, much of it felt redundant since I'd read Secret North immediately before. Other than Charli's mother drama, it was like rereading Secret North. Unfortunately, the 'Charli's mother' storyline has been my least favorite storyline of anything I've read. Charli came across as weak and pathetic. I ended up feeling disgusted with her and hurriedly skipped through those pages because I hated Olivia but more so I couldn't stand how pathetic and stupid Charli was when dealing with her. I'm still a big fan of the Decaries but this book was a big letdown for me.

My Absolute Favorite. I really didn't think that my love for Saving Wishes could be upstaged, but I was so wrong when Star Promises blew it away. I have loved all the books but this is now my favorite. The wittiness from Bridget, the love of Charli and Adam and dynamics of the family either had me laughing till crying or boiling mad! It took me a bit longer to finish then I would have liked because my kids actually wanted to be fed and bathed. I mean couldn't they understand the importance of finishing this book in one sitting?!?! The loss of sleep was worth it and I might just have to read it again and again and again!

Star Promise. I really like books by GJ Walker-Smith and this was a good one. What I did not like was inserting pieces of another of her/his book. When I pay for a book (no matter what price) I want a new story. however I have truly enjoyed the books in this series.

Is this the end?. If this is the end, I'm sad to see it end! I know there is another book coming out but it's not following Charli. This is my second favorite out of the series. Good characterization and I just love their kid!

Wonderful!. I loved The Wishes series. It was hard to put them down, as my imagination went wild with all of the characters and the wonderful storey lines.

Love It.... I love the entire series and am so excited for Mitchell's book. I would love to see more of Charli/Adam, I miss the entire family now that I finished re-reading the entire series for like the 3rd time...

Denouement magnifique. I loved this book! It ties up the story of Adam and Charli so well. (Maybe too well...I don't want this to be the end!!)

Best book ever!. If you look up breathtaking it's definition says thrillingly beautiful, remarkable, astonishing, and exciting. These words couldn't describe star promise any better as long as I can add hilarious to the list. There were parts I laughed until I cried, smiled until my cheeks hurt, and took deeps breaths didn't want it all to end. After finishing (at 1am) I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to get off of the star promise cloud. Thank you GJ Walker-Smith for knowing all the lovely words, thank you for writing my most favorite book and my most favorite series, and most of all thank you for being you.

I want more. I'm in love with the entire series.

BEST FREAKING BOOK EVER!!!!!. I love this series. The way it is so perfectly written is astounding. To have the ability to pause your own reality and dive head first into someone else's is perfectly executed in this story.

The Wishing Series. There are 7 books in this series written by GJ Walker-Smith. Never ever have I read a better series. Each book is incredibly written and they all flow into each other. The 7th book Shiloh is not in print yet(September 2015) but I have pre ordered it and can't wait to continue reading where Star Promise left off.

Love the series. I absolutely loved the series!!!! I agree with most about the overlap with secret north but my love for the series never faltered!!!! I AM WAITING FOR THE NEXT SERIES BY GJ WALKER-SMITH

Overlap. I really enjoy this series however I was a bit disappointed with the overlap with Secret North. Mom and Christmas were the only places I learned anything new. I will continue to read any new books in the series because we always need a little magic and crazy lovely people.

Superb!. This series is my favorite by far! I'm not exaggerating, every single book was amazing. Star promises did not disappoint one bit. I laughed and cried, felt angry at times and actual joy at other times. I'm in love with the way the author writes for her characters. I usually don't like to reread books but I will reread this series over and over!

The way she describes things and ties the story together makes these books flow together perfectly. I'm sad to see the end of these books but happy to see what else G.J. has coming. LOVELY!!!!. Rarely I give a book 5 stars. I've read all the books in this series. I have cry, laugh, cheer and fallen in love with both Charlie and Adam. It was bitter sweet to me. To finally give a goodbye to both of them. Their love will continue to be an example to me. Tho is fictional, you can take so much learning from this love story. My praises to the author!!! You've done it again. Thank you for writing a well and LOVELY story. Now, will Ry have an ending too?? I felt his story and Bente's is unfinished. I hope you get to write more about their story.

Too much overlap. I liked this book however at times there was just too much overlap from Secret North. I'm not a fan of books from the same time with different points of view. So that annoyed me because I knew what was going to happen as the booked progressed. Five stars for the scenes that were new with Bridget and her being crazy lovely 😃.

Just as good the third time around!. I have read the entire Wishes series all the way through, three times now. Every time I finish Star Promises, I just want to go back to Saving Wishes and start all over again. These books are amazing, and suffice it to say, I thoroughly enjoy hanging out in La La Land as often as possible! AWESOME series, bravo to G J Walker Smith, and I very very highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone!! I just wish there would be another seven books in this series!!!

Awesome!!. I don't think Charli misscarries. Otherwise jean-luc would not of said the loss wasn't hers. I think possibly her. Mom does make an appearance didn't seconds hearts say the mom went off to be a dancer? What better place to dance than NYC? And now that Charli was reputable with lots of decarie money I betcha momma came knocking maybe??? I hope things are good with Rex n jack n gabi silver dawn almost broke my heart . I love this series!!!!!!

Awesome book!. This whole series was fantastic! I just couldn't put it down. I only had trouble reading Alex's story but it did turn out good & with a lesson to remember for the reader. There's so many silver linings that we can all see in our daily lives if we'd look. Thank you for writing the series!!!

Amazing novel!. Whenever I read a new novel from G.J. I am always excited, constantly amazed and I'm left with a permanent smile of happiness on my face. Basically, I feel like I'm a kid at Disney World. G.J. Walker-Smith, you have mighty superpowers as far as I'm concerned. I was so thrilled when G.J. announced that Charli and Adam were getting another story. This is my favorite couple after all. Star Promise is set at the same time frame as Secret North, but now with Adam and Charli's perspectives. Their continuing journey is still filled with plenty of laughter, family, and love. But along the way there are shocking discoveries made, painful truths revealed, and powerful life lessons that are learned. I can definitely say that the questions that have been on my mind since book four have been answered. Charli Decarie has grown into such a wonderful young woman. She is loving wife and mother, and yet she still has the same vibrant spirit that I have always admired. Charli really gets tested emotionally in this book, and there were plenty of tears that came from me. But never doubt Charli, for she is a Blake at heart and truly resilient. Adam Decarie stole my heart again this time. I didn't think it was possible to fall harder than I already had, but I did. I am so proud of the man he has become. What really makes my heart melt is the endless love and devotion that he has for his girls, it's just wonderful beyond words. Of course I can't forget Bridget "Little Bridge". That little girl lights up a room with her presence. She is as cute as a button, but also very wise for her young age. My favorite thing to see is how Bridget lives in her own little world just like her mother and I really adore that. I wish I could live like that most of the time. With a teacup in each hand, Bridget threw out her arms. "Because the world is lovely," she announced theatrically. "Look at it." ~ Bridget I loved seeing Alex, Fiona and yes even Jean-Luc again. There is more to this man behind his elegant suits. I enjoyed his conversations with Charli, and trust me he will surprise you. I just loved everything about Star Promise. The ending was absolutely perfect for this family, and like always it shows that magic really is everywhere. "And how do you know?" asked Val, leaning over the counter to look at her. Bridget cupped her hands to her mouth. "Magic," she whispered. The uppity postmistress might not have been sold on her left-of-centre explanation, but I was. Absolutely nothing is impossible to willing hearts. ~ Charli and Bridget I seriously cannot thank Gemma enough for writing this little gem.

Fell in love! <3. All of these books have captured my imagination and I love the way she writes!

Wow. These books were amazing. Not the cliche love stories I've become so bored with...I mean EVERYTHING tied together. Even the main character's name. I have no idea how the author kept up with so many details through out all 6 books. Now... When will these become movies?

Love Adam and Charli, they have really grown into their relationship. The book runs alongside Secret North, so I kept getting little Ryan fixes. Five stars through and through. Star Promises - yawn zzzzzz. I've read all the books in this series and as much as I wanted to know what happened next I wish I hadn't bothered. Loved the other books but this one was just boring. The whole universe revolves around the spoilt brat Bridget, and her "witty" one liners did my head in. This could've been a great instalment but the kid ruined the whole book. It's not that I don't like kids, I do and have a daughter of my own, but Star Promises was just plain boring, even with the introduction of Charli's mum. The whole Charli and Adam story should come to an end, moving from New York to Oz and back again is just dull. Oh well, might just be me but if Charli stopped being such a wet lettuce and Bridget stopped being obsessed with her boots and happy happy days it might've been more enjoyable.

Great series!. It's not often I read a full series of books but from start to finish I was engrossed. Great summer read and couldn't wait for the last book to come available for Christmas.

Full Circle. When I think about Star Promise, I think; full circle. "Full circle" - complete a cycle, returns to it's beginnings. I fell in love with Adam in Star Promise. I have always "liked" him, don't get me wrong...and I have always championed Charli and his relationship - there were never two people more suited to be together in my opinion. However, in Star Promise, Adam was the standout for me...almost like he "came of age". We see him struggling to juggle the demands of parenthood, striving to be a devoted husband and falling into the role of the son he is expected to be. And, I loved how he dealt with it all. Loved it. His sweet devotion to Charli and Bridget and his determination to provide the best for his small family of 3 made my heart sing. He did it quietly and firmly. Some of the dialogue between Adam and Bridget made me cry...(with laughter, obviously ;) ), but some of it made me just cry. GJ has this way with her narrative - she is SO on point with her characters - when they speak, you are there with them... "Crooked girls can't fly straight" Yes Adam! Yes GJ! You nailed it - I felt it. Just wonderful.

Best book ever!!. So sad to see the ending of this series. Or should I say denouement?? I've loved every minute of the series and have found myself looking for magic meanings in many things!!

6 stars. Like many, I have been reading, following and loving the lives of the Blakes and Dècaries for a few years now. This culmination of the wishes series fulfilled and satisfied me completely. The thought of the end of this series is bittersweet; I don't think I'd ever be ready for it to end. Charli, Adam and Bridget are in New York running the gauntlet on family life and demanding jobs. Bridget is a joy to read about, in one sense a handful but the one-liners she comes out with are funny and brilliant. The dynamic of the Dècarie family is real, flawed, messy and beautiful. Adam is a man who loves his family, worries about his responsibilities but boy wonder is definitely still in there. "Hello, love of my life.............hello, life of my love." Charli has also matured but the the girl I've known from previous wishes stories remain, only she now speaks with the confidence of a secure woman. "I am his heart," I blurted, cutting him off. "And Bridget is his soul. He's not yours anymore." The main storyline of this book takes a direction I never would have imagined and fans of the series will be gripped by the turn of events. GJ Walker-Smith's writing is steadfast in quality, wit and emotion. I feel the characters, their hurt and love. I find her writing poetic in her uncanny ability to project the ebb and flow of life as though you are a family member observing the Dècaries' lives. I'm so sad to leave this series behind, but I am a re-reader of the greats. This is surely one.

Lose yourself in GJ Walker's magic. Simply wonderful. What a fantastic read, full of happiness, heartbreak, love and "lovely lovely" moments. GJ Walker is a brilliant writer. I forgot how I discovered her, but I am so glad I did. Reading her books makes my heart happy, and if you're a fan you'll understand what I mean by that. If you've never read any of her books, what are you waiting for, go read Saving Wishes so you can read this book!

What a ride ❤❤. Flawless writing from GJ again, took me back easily into Adam's & Charli's life on the very first page. Have loved them from the very beginning. I actually laughed out loud at Bridget she was so sassy! I wanted to throw my iPad at the wall a few times, Olivia was so toxic!! I love the way GJ ties all the loose ends together and gives us a beautiful ending! ❤❤❤I am going to miss them!

The Perfect Dènouement. Star Promise by GJ Walker-Smith The Perfect Dènouement This is the last book in GJ Walker-Smiths Wishes series and they should all be read in order. While I have been waiting with baited breath for months to see how GJ would finish this series, I truly wasn't ready to say goodbye. This book was beautifully written. It included a perfect blend of humor as well as many touching moments. I love that GJ tied up everything with a perfect bow and I was so happy to see that Adam, Charli and of course, Bridget end up exactly where and how they're supposed to. GJ Walker-Smith uses words in the same way that an artist uses a paintbrush and boy, did she paint an amazing picture with Star Promise. She has wrapped up this story beautifully and it is my new favorite. I do not hesitate to recommend this series as they are all outstanding 5* reads.

Out done. Every new book GJ out does herself with her writing , her story telling and her magic. This book is no exception . Every chapter you're wanting to flick the page and see what is around the corner. She puts you right in the thick of every emotion her characters feel whether you want to be there or not. If you want a book that is going to make you cry with joy and despair, make you want to reach in and slap characters in the face, make you hold your breath with the next twist, make you laugh literally out loud or make you forget that bathing and sleeping is an essential part or life the wishes series is something you NEED. More than anything if you want a slice of magic and a beautiful story about the real uniqueness of life and a true love that is fought for even when others simply don't get it. This book and series is something you will carry with you and re read time and time again.

Love Love Love. Since reading Saving Wishes in 2013, I have been hooked on The Wishes series. It is now my favourite series, I must of read it at least 6 times. Charli and Adam are such a wonderful couple and I was so happy that they'd be getting another book, even if it is their last (cries). G.J Walker-Smith has done it again. Star Promise is another brilliant addition to an awesome series. I giggled, laughed, cried, felt incredibly annoyed, angry and happy; it was a bundle of emotions. I admit there were points in this book where I wanted to either slap someone or hug them and never let go. I loved spending time with Adam, Charli and their little girl, Bridget; such a sweet, unique character who never fails to make me laugh. Thank you GJ for another wonderful read, I loved it :) <3

I just LOVe it .. 🌟. I just couldn't get tired to hear Bridget's comments and takes . I so badly wish the series didn't end here . I want to see just the happy ending version of the story of Charli and Adam , without any turns of event . Just reading about their close knit family counts for a bliss .. Just love the way GJ has made this series such an amazing read for all her fans . I have read Secret North, so just felt a tiny bit of disappointed in the reading , as it was abit repetitive . Whereas I comment GJ on her work to just shorten the topics mentioned in Secret North to make Star Promise stand . And it definitely does ! In Bridget's words - LOVELY

Love this Series!!!. The Wishes Series is one of my all time favourite. I'd missed Charli and Adam and it was so good to visit these characters again. Bridget is hilarious in this book and I loved Charli's relationship with Jean Luc. This is the final instalment so start at Saving Wishes if you're new to the series. I don't know anyone who hasn't loved these books!

The Wishes. I think this is about the best series I've ever read. It's a beautiful story line! I recommend the series to all readers. :)

Redundant. Oh how I loved loved the series, however, this book was really not quite as compelling. We already had read Ryan and Bente's story, which took us to some of the facets of Charli and Adam's story. So reading this book, there was no suspense, no trill, as we already knew, for example, that little Bridget's accident wasn't grave or that Ryan and Bente were not going to get married in the grand ceremony. So reading this book never put me once on edge, or never have me a reason to stay up all night reading because we all knew the dénouement. This book takes us through the relationship of Charli and her mother, a relationship that honestly was exaggerated and taken right out of Snow White and her awful stepmother story. In real life, no one is as wicked, and really, it bored me to death. Read it ... Or don't, it's not a life changer and it's really disappointing as all the other books were truly,,,truly lovely!
