Stephen King Greatness. It is a true Stephen King novel, enough said.

Still a Favorite. Recently re-read and it’s still one of my favorites. Bone-chillingly haunting plot of fantasy mixed with horror.

I love Stephen King!. A fascinating, scary, and above all else, a terribly sad story that I’m never able to put down no matter how many times I read it. This is King at his finest.

Terrifying. This and “The Outsider”, I think are the 2 scariest Stephen King books. Not exactly scary while you’re reading, but later. When you’re laying in bed thinking about the books. About what it’d be like if you could bring your child back, Would you? After reading Pet Sematary, I don’t know if I would...

Creepy and Suspenseful. Before starting this book I was reading other reviews and the author notes on how everyone thought this was King’s scariest book and even he agreed. Although I would not consider this story “scary” but some words I would use to describe it are: Creepy, disturbing, and suspenseful. Even though my intro to this review seems negative, I can say without a doubt that this book is great and the way King is able to create suspense for every plot point is masterful, along with his ability to describe events in vivid detail. King also has a great way of describing two conflicting personalities between the married couple of Rachel dealing with her trauma of death and Louis being a logical/non-emotional type. To finish this review I would say that the epilogue is genius and the way this story ends is really interesting.

Guess what, Stephen King? It IS your scariest book!. This was the first book I ever read by Stephen King, as well as being the first adult novel I ever read. The movie was the main motivator; I loved it! The book is better than the 1989 film version, but not by much! Publishers Weekly agreed with Stephen King about this emotional, supernatural horror story: “The most frightening book Stephen King has ever written!” I 💯 agree!

A classic.. To me this was the last of Stephen King’s five star novels. Very scary and very readable and enjoyable. Great story. I think both movie adaptations were horrible. Better just to stick with the book.

Pet Sematary. I loved this book!! I’ve read a lot of his work and know the magic that is Stephen King, but this one left me breathless several times after reading through an encounter experienced by one of the characters! A very moving and compelling novel!

Favs. I couldn’t put this book down. I found this book to be way more emotional than scary. EXCEPT the last 7 chapters sent chills down my spine “darling”.

Better than the movie!. My Journey to the Dark Tower I recently decided to start reading the Dark Tower series but wanted the full experience so I got some recommendations and compiled a list of books relevant (hopefully!) to the extended lore. This book 4 on that list. A little less of a slow burn than Salem’s Lot. Deals with shame, guilt, loss, mourning, and how the desire to resolve those feelings, combined with help of a spooky graveyard, can make things go from bad to worse real quick. Still no Dark Tower.

Pet Sematary: the most terrifying novel?. This novel is hands down my favorite Stephen King novel ever written, it scared the hell out of me and I couldn’t be more excited that they are remaking the movie which comes out next year. I highly recommend this book to those who are new to or familiar with Stephen King.

Decent. I found the book to be a pretty good read, but was disappointed because it is not scary. I was not disturbed or horrified. It was a bit wordy and difficult for me to get through.

Made My Skin Crawl!. One of the scariest novels I've ever read. Right up there with Dracula, Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the works of Poe and Lovecraft. King, using supernatural tribal elements slowly and methodically destroys a family. The ending is absolutely terrifying. The only problem Mr. King, is that I don't read your books anymore because I really think you bested yourself with this one.

You versus your inner self. This book lets intrusive thoughts win.

Question of ommision. Why isn't this in Audiobooks?! This is one of the best of the Classic King

Read it today!. I’ve been a fan of the movie since long ago and the book was even better. Reading it after having watched the movie helped me picture the characters that much more. One of the best books I’ve ever read don’t miss out on this one!

King's best work. This is my favorite Stephen King book by far. I am not easily creeped out but by the end of this novel, my skin was crawling! It is worth taking the time to read this classic, you won't be disappointed!

Pet Sematary. The novel was great and terrifying. The ending was particularly dark, and the rest of the novel was spine tingling as you wait for the inevitable. Stephen Kings scariest.

Brilliant.. I had always hesitated to read this book, as usually animal cruelty (fictional included) does not sit well, but I read this book and was able to handle it. What a wrenching story of real humanity gone awry. Brilliant, stunning, amazing.

Stephan Kings scariest book. Read it for yourself. This book is gut wrenching, I mean terrifying. And I’ve read The Shining. That book has NOTHING on this one.

It will come home.. Another amazing book by Stephen King. Like always—I prefer this over the movie. If you liked the movie—then please check this book out. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

First time reading Stephen King. Such a good book!. Probably one of the best books I’ve read recently. This book made me feel so dreadful that I had to stop at some parts. Definitely worth reading!

Just okay. Scary parts are few and far between. Lots of unnecessary daily life details and dialogue that drag on. I really only enjoy the cat parts. Meow.

Pet cemetery. I think the book was great I’m a horror movie addict and I read this book and I love pet cemetery but the second one was very sad

Kind of a downer.. Classic Stephen King writing and craftsmanship but ultimately a downer. In many of his other books King manages to mix horror and tragedy with hope, but this one is all tragedy. Be warned.

Had me in a spell. It hurt to put this book down, the story is magnificent, but the ending is a let down.
