Really enjoying this series!. Enjoyed reading this book after having already met Niko in books 1 and 1.5. I part listened to the audio book as I was traveling and finished by reading it. I REALLY disliked the audio narration and it interfered with my getting to know and like the characters. Enjoyed reading the book much more and could relate to the characters much better. I found Elizabeth’s dithering annoying. Once again the dynamic here, as in the first two books in the series, involves a man who is all in and a woman who isn’t, mostly as a result of life experience and self-esteem issues. There is the element of danger again as well. I’m a big fan of this author and recommend her books. I can’t wait to start the next book in the series.

5 'Freaking Nico!' stars!. There are 3 things about this book that I absolutely loved. 1) Nico and Elizabeth. Their banter and chemistry are superb. 2) It made me all gooey inside when Nico professed his love. He loves Elizabeth so much! 3) I can't stand how much I love all the side characters in the book. Sandra and Ashley are my two favs. "He is h-o-t hot. I would’ve thought you’d get T-shirts made that said ‘Yeah, I hit that.’” "Nico Moretti, or Manganiello or whatever, still has the leg humpies for you—” Leg humpies!! *snort* I just love how entertaining her books are and so funny! I'm quickly moving on to the next one.

Not worth $7. Can’t believe I paid $7 for this. Repetitive. Heroine can’t get out of her own way. First book in the series was much better.

Love it. This is my 2nd book by author. Loved this. Need to find a knitting group like the one in the book.

My favorite Knitting in the City book. I love Penny Reid's books, but I made the mistake of reading them out of order. I started by reading Truth or Beard, then listened to Beauty and the Mustache (4), Neanderthal Seeks Human (1) and Neanderthal Marries Human (1.5) before reading Friends Without Benefits, so I already knew a little about Elizabeth and Nico. (For example, I remembered reading in BatM that Nico was famous, and that he crochets.) Usually when I know that a couple is going to end up together, I'm not as interested in their story. This was not the case with Elizabeth and Nico. Theirs is so unique, and interesting, and sexy. It was so much more than a "will-they/won't-they" or "how are they going to get there" story. Their history together is heart-breaking, and the more you learn about it, the more you root for them. I devoured this book. I normally like to read books slowly, take my time, savor them. But since this is only book 2 in the series, I knew that there were many more great books in my future, so I didn't feel badly as I stayed up late and skipped my favorite show so I could stay with Elizabeth and Nico. So glad I haven't seen the last of them, and I am looking forward to more Knitting in the City!

Nearly didn’t finish it. I read the first in this series & genuinely enjoyed but didn’t get the same feeling with this one. Being a character centric reader, I found that it took me to the Epilogue of this book to feel anything but frustrated with the main character of Elizabeth. Lots of missed opportunities to develop her were missed, not sure if I will read the others in the series now, sorry
