Can Not Download. I have been trying to download this series of books for a long time now. I just get "E. O. Wilson’s Life on Earth Unit 1 failed to download” and same for the others. Apparently looking at the other reviews here, this is a common problem. I’ve tried to log out, deauthorize and reauthorize, reset things, reboot, etc. Nothing works. Does Apple even care anymore?

Thanks a lot for precious knowledge sharing!. In just one book, there's much information about biology. Supports me to do further study and have a deep interest on the subject I've always seen as difficult - Biology. Thank you, Prof. Edward. O. Wilsom and memebers of Life on Earth Foundation: That was such a treasure box.

Amazing books!. Tried to download to a college-issued iPad to no avail. Clearly, an account with Apple ID is needed (the college-issued iPad is “managed” that prohibits personal accounts. Maybe this was the problem other users had??). Switch to my personal iPhone and download the whole series without any issue. Simply AirDrop the file to my iPad iBook. It works like a charm! In contrast to all other free open source textbooks, the art works/illustrations in this free book are excellent. In fact, this book is better than lots of costly textbooks. My only concern is how some of my students who do not own an apple mobile device could access these books. I hope that I could somehow generate PDF version of these books.

Unable to download. This book looks perfect for refreshing my biology knowledge. However it would be more helpful if it actually downloaded onto iBooks, have tried multiple times and no luck. Please fix :(

Great book but I’d Never know.... Cannot download any of the Series. The Downloading button gets greyed out and nothing downloads. Cannot recommend this through iTunes or Ibooks.

Brilliant engagement w subject. I've already downloaded a few other of these units and they are stellar achievements. Illustrations leap off the page. This could have applications to a wide range of students, not just high school. Terrific. Thank you to all involved!

Can't download this book. This book seems like a useful tool but I can't download it, PLEASE APPLE, FIX THIS PROBLEM

amazing. This is an amazing series. We are using it as a foundation for my homeschooled son's high school biology. I have successfully downloaded all the units, although each one took between thirty minutes to an hour to download. I downloaded them onto our regular computer (windows), then transferred them onto an old ipad with no problems. You need ibooks on your ipad. For the second book, it said I downloaded it, but once I was in my own itunes library, I had to click on the book before the ipad transfer, and then the download went through. Hope that helps someone who is having trouble.

Looks great, just wish it would download. I have been trying for months to get this book to download. It has set on my bookshelf and I've been unable to open or even delete. Finally I got it to disappear last week. Thinking that it was just a fluke I tried again. I really wish I had read the reviews first. Book one is stuck again so I'm going to give book two a try.

Will not download and keeps telling me. It's bad enough that it won't download, as many people note, but since updating to iOS 8 it notifies me every ten minutes that it cannot download the item, no matter what else I am doing. There is no iBooks setting that will turn that off.

Would rate higher if unit 1 would download. Had gotten the first release then got an email offering the 7 unit series as a replacement for my prior purchase. Can download all 7 on the iMac but on the iPad2 only units 2 through 7 download while unit 1 stalls and never downloads….iTunes support has been unhelpful in the process.

It just keeps coming back. Does not seem to be a way to remove this series of books from my account.

I would give more BUT I NEVER GOT TO READ IT!. How am I supposed to be able to read this book if it won’t download??? Whenever I download it takes like 20 minutes but as soon as it finishes it just cancels. Legitimate scam.

Nice book but CAN’T DOWNLOAD. I want to read this but it just doesn’t do the thing: DOWNLOAD! No wonder it’s free instead of paying so this is a scam.

First and seventh book corrupted. Can’t delete them off my phone. Tried deleting the whole collection. Tried downloading each book on its own. But it just crashes the app or doesn’t download at all. Please do something about this

Why can't all textbooks be like this?. The books are all so interactive with information being displayed in other forms (not just text). I wish that the GCSE & IGCSE textbooks would be like this, it would really help when revising and trying to get my head around new concepts! I hope that there will be more books like this in other subjects in the future.

Not downloading. Its saying i dont have enough space.... I have 3.6 gb left and the book only needs 1.68 gb......

Frustrating so far.... 3 hour download (I'm in the middle of nowhere), and it just disappeared. I'm going to give it five stars anyway because I know it will be good if they ever sort it out - I've read his books, seen a live lecture and love his writing. Bit frustrating so far though!
