MacFarlands Lass - historical romance at its best!. Ms. Campbell’s writing style never disappoints me. This is another great book that wraps you up from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until you’re done! If you like an engaging read with historical content, a bit of mystery, a feisty heroine, and a sensuous love story then, in my opinion, you’ll like this book!

MacFarland's Lass. Oh, my! I absolutely loved this book. It is beautifully written. I could actually see the characters & feel their emotions, as they dealt with their situations. I can't wait to read more books by this wonderful story teller.

Captivating and sweet. This book brought me back to what I enjoy about historical romances, very beautifully written and keeps you turning the pages and wishing that there were men like that still in existence today. It was a really good read. Moving on to the next one lol

Great Characters. I enjoyed the main story line, but there is a ton of unnecessary filler. I skimmed a lot of the story. But, the two main characters are easy to love, add a priest and cat for comedic relief, and it is a good read to me.

Wonderful Love Story. Tale told from both sides, wonderfully real. Very descriptive, you can picture what us going on.....

My Kind Of Novel. Especially being of Scottish/English decent and a McFarland! The “a” must have been dropped somewhere along the line. I enjoyed learning all the meanings of the “way-back when” Scottish words in the story, especially the clothing names. It was a delightful love story.

McFarland’s Lass. The author did an outstanding job in her research for this novel. The reader feels as though he/she is actually experiencing what is happening to the characters and can hear what is being said. It is a must read for all fans of this author.

Easy read. This author was compared to Diana Gabaldon but she sadly falls short in many ways. The annoying attempt to make the story sound old English by using ‘twas and ‘tis etc. is lame and rather insulting. She’s clearly an American writer who probably hasn’t even visited Scotland! All that said, it’s an easy read.

Captivating. From the first unleashed arrow to the heart stopping finale I couldn't put this story down. Rane and Florie's blossoming love in the most dire circumstances was totally engaging. Excellent writing. There is something so intriguing about romance in medieval times I'm looking forward to read the next in this series straight away.
