Shattered Dreams. Great book, but I have so many mixed emotions about it. I guess with Max still coming to her and just maybe, because my husband is retired military and I have seen a few who's husband life was taken for our freedom and in no time, the wife has moved on and I guess my heart really bleeds when I see the soldiers parents, who will forever love their son and not even get the flag or really left with only, I'm sorry for your loss.

Didn’t really like the title. I really liked the book. The ending was really the beginning of the next book. It was interesting and held my attention until the end.

Based on the writing. I couldn't even get through the first chapter! The writing felt like when you listen the close caption descriptions

Shattered Dreams/Series. Don't bother. The trilogy is a gimmick. I schemed this book but wasn't interested enough to read the rest of the series. I read the other free book about Bobby, the boxer. This book told me everything I needed to know about the ending to Shattered Dreams and the author's thoughts on cliffhanger books is pretty much laid out. Sorry this author isn't worth my time and these books shouldn't be cliffhangers.

Shattered Dreams. I cried,and found myself smiling. I would root for the characters. Great read.

Book. Book was very good but disappointed that it ended!

Frustrating. Overall it is a good read. Downloaded it for free so can't complain there. However I hate that there are inconsistencies with the storyline. I hate to write about the story in this review but I am so frustrated. For example, the woman's husband dies when their baby is my even ONE year old. Later in the book, when the baby is now FOUR years old, it describes the scene as her FIRST Christmas since her husband passed. That is impossible, since it should be at least the 3rd Christmas without him. The timeline inconsistencies caused me to stop reading the book! Frustrating and wish the storyline/timeline and book in general was proofread!

Warning cliffhanger!. I wish I had known that this was an incomplete story before starting it. Very slow moving story, a lot of details about mundane life moving along. This author would benefit from a good beta group to strengthen the story by leaving out the parts that added nothing to character development or plot. Has potential, but I won't be buying the rest of this series even though I liked the characters, it just moved way to slowly.

Shattered Dreams. This book was AMAZING!! I expected nothing less from the author. Brenda Kennedy pulls at your heart strings and makes you fall in love with all of these characters. We first met Emma and Alex in her first series and I always wanted to know Emma's story. It exceeded anything that I was expecting. * warning have a box of tissues handy while reading. You'll thank me later !

Shattered Story. This could have been a decent book. However, the writing was stilted and the ending was extremely disappointing. Making your readers read the next book because this didn't end, but only stopped, makes them feel cheated. First person story telling with multiple story tellers was also uncomfortable to read. At one time Alex was supposed to be talking and it had switched to Emma without a heading or paragraph break. I'm sorry I finished it. I'm only glad it was free.

Frustrating ending. This was a decent book. The characters were sweet and I was rooting for them. It was not good enough, however, to entice me to buy the next book to find out what happens to them.

So great!. Let me first start with the fact that this had creepy similarities to my life! My husband and I have been at Fort Drum for 14 months. Soon after we got here, we found out we were pregnant. Our son shares initials with their son. Our anniversary is also October 11th! Being an army wife, I definitely cried a lot during this book. But after the first couple of pages, I was HOOKED, I finished it in just a day! I even have a couple of friends reading it now! Can't wait to start number 2!

Ending killed it. The book was sweet until there just had to be a cliffhanger. The book was going good until the ending.

Shattered dreams. This story has no soul. The basis of a great book is there but it's told in a bland matter of fact way, like talking in a monotone voice which is a shame. Even the ending doesn't want me to find out more.

I couldn't wait !!. To put this book down.. So disappointing. Story did not flow because writer couldn't decide on a tense to right in. Could have all been said in half the time. Just a con to then buy two more books, don't waste your time or money ....

Heartbreaking. If being 100% truthful.. I am not a massive fan of how the words are written... But in saying that.. cried from start to finish.. And adored the story line and the characters.. I will be buying the next books in the set as throughly enjoyed the story.. Can't fault that at all

Shattered Dreams. I enjoyed this book, the characters were realistic every day people that we can identify with.

Conflicted. I am really conflicted on if i liked this book or not. The story had me hooked, i wanted to keep reading it. However i feel like it jumped around a bit, things didnt line up and it just wasnt well written. I got to the end and as per usual there was a cliff hanger. Unfortunately the next 2 books are $6 each and i cant justify buying them when they really aren’t the best writing. If they were 0.99c id grab them but in the meantime ill make up the rest of the story in my head!
