Gut wrenching. This book will make you think about things you never have thought about before and bring to light parts of your character that you have never shown attention to! I definitely recommend this read! It is an easy read and a pretty short book relatively but the material is important and the response can be long lasting.

Is Anger Necessary?. This is a book that you must read slowly. Not because it's difficult, but because these simple and foundational truths will have you sitting in bed with your mouth hanging open. Or dope-slapping yourself. Or crying. Or laughing out loud (literally) and sharing that nugget on Facebook or Twitter. Do we have a right to be angry? Is it true that without anger we can't do anything worthwhile? Brant Hansen addresses these questions. Personal stories, along with scripture and other references, do a very good job of giving us reason to drop the anger and choose instead to be Unoffendable. Personally, this book has helped me immensely. As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, I have seen a huge improvement in my emotional health. My favorite concept was giving up the phrase, "I can't believe they did that!" Once I stopped being surprised at others' failures, as well as my own, I was able to let things go and celebrate the good. My stress levels are much lower and I'm happier, that's for sure. If you've ever stayed up at night stewing over an offense, lost your temper, or wondered how to respond to those nasty comments on your blog, this book is for you. This is one that I will be reading again and again!

Just incredible. This is such a challenging and counter-cultural concept. Each page is filled with logic and facts to back it up, but more importantly Brant conveys the point with grace and humility. This is a legitimate instruction manual that is absolutely a joy to read!

Amazing!. This is a must read if you live in this crazy world. Christian or not, YOU need to read this book.

A Must read for any Jesus follower. Eyeopening and refreshingly down to earth. Sharing the truth of how we should live our lives if we claim to be Jesus followers. Thank you Brant.

Must Read!. Life changing ❤️

Wow. Going into this book remember that I thought it was an odd thing to write about. I wasn't even sure I agreed with the premise of the book and I most definitely didn't consider myself an "angry" person. But wow! I decided to read it because I highly respect Brant. I signed up to read a prerelease version and boy am I glad I did! This book will rock your wold. It'll humble you, convict you and (even more importantly) it will free you and help you learn to love those around you like Jesus. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Best book I've read in a long time!!. Brant! I've always loved you on the radio, didn't think I could love you more. But I do!! (*Sentence fragment*) Thank you for this wonderful, TRUTH-FILLED, TIMELY book. Praying if falls into the right hands at the right time. It was a blessing to read!

AWESOME!!. Who knew I could choose not to be offended...

Unoffendable. Been battling with bitterness and resentment for the last few years. Experienced what seemed like at the time, endless church hurt along with strife among leaders in my previous church. This book was a MAJOR eye opener for me as I never realized just how it wasn’t all them to blame, it was me and my constant choosing to be offended at things. Even within the last week I’ve noticed how not much bothers me anymore when I go out in public or when I interact with people. I’ve finally realized I can’t control people, I can only control me and my responses..

Loved it!. Brant, thanks for showing the world it's ok to be quirky, introverted, and different. This book really helped me see things just a little bit more like Jesus does.

Master surgeon. Brent is a master surgeon cutting us with the Word of God with his “awe shucks” mid-western humor. I loved it. Great theology.

You can choose to be unoffendable.. If you listen to Brant Hansen on the radio, this book reads just like a conversation he’s having with Sherri or a listener seeking advice. And in his genuine, humble way, he turns common thinking upside-down. He asserts that humans have no right to righteous anger – because we are not righteous and therefore can’t be trusted with it. As followers of Christ we must give up our right to being offended by sin and by sinners. Sin exists, of course, and refusing to be offended does not mean accepting the sin. He points out, though, that a bunch of angry Christians arguing a logical case doesn’t convince anyone to change. Instead, by truly loving those with whom we disagree and by refusing to be offended, we show the love of God. We are called to love and show grace to those who disagree with us, to those who have wronged us, because God has forgiven and shown grace to us. If you’ve ever been offended by the actions of others, you have to read this book.

Giving our offense to God.. Brant Hansen has taught me with this book how deadly it is to stay angry and offended all the time. Use to I would let my offenses eat at me, stewing how whoever offended me was wrong and I WAS RIGHT. Now, when I feel offended about something, and I can feel the offense taking a stronghold, I offer it up to God, asking him to take control of it, and I let go of my offense, those thoughts no longer mine. Instantly I feel a wave of peace wash over me. Bc the author is right: Jesus forgave me so I am to forgive others. However it’s now become for me to WANT to forgive instead of holding onto the offense.

Thought-provoking and practical. Got to read a prerelease copy of the book. Highly recommend it if you struggle as I do with being too easily offended. Some key lessons I learned: 1. Don't be so shocked by other people's behavior. 2. Keep in mind that you're no better. 3. If you don't then you'll never truly grow in your relationships with those around you. Sounds simple enough to embrace, but so much easier said than done. But Brant facilitates the reader's study and reflection on these truths by sharing stories, Bible passages and his unique sense of humor that you may not like at first but will eventually come to relish as I do if you keep on reading. And as you read you will find yourself being immediately challenged to put it into practice as you interact with those around you. There are not too many books out there that can say that!
