“It was impossible to breathe like that in the middle of a moment”. Great read! I laughed a good bit due our similarities in certain situations. Myself, I have been dealing with anxiety since returning home from Afghanistan. It has always been something that I avoided. Whenever I would get in a situation where I felt anxious, I would immediately leave my environment. My friends and family were under the impression that I did not enjoy being around them, but in actuality, I was afraid of freaking out in front of them. Like yourself, I did not tell anyone outside my parents and significant other. After reading the first few chapters, the first thing I did was inform my best friend and supervisor about my issue and I was instantly relived. Since then, I have faced my monkey head on. I’ve made a lot of progress since then, but I still have a long way to go. This book definitely inspired me to make those baby steps and push myself to do something I never thought I could do.

Great Book!. This is so accessible to everyone. Whatever level of anxiety a person is feeling, I found this writer able to speak to everyone. Great book. Thank you.

What a great tool. I've been dealing with my anxiety/depression for close to 15 years and this has put me in a place I never thought I'd be. By referring to my anxiety as "my monkey" has been a game changer. Doctors definitely serve a great purpose in the diagnosis and medical treatment of anxiety, but reading it from a person that's walked the walk is very helpful. Thank you!

This book helps. This book is really good! Gives great advice. It honestly took me forever to read. I guess I was running away from the advice if that makes sense. I’m soooo glad I finished it and I’m gonna make sure I stop running on things I need to hear. This whole book is about letting it go and reaching for your goals. Totally recommend!

Hit The Spot. This book help me quite a bit it put so many things in perspective, it gave me wonderful ideas on how to deal with my monkey and I could also relate to many things that were in this book. I definitely enjoy the part about taking steps specially when I go see my primary doctor. First the drive then the waiting room then the doctor. I recommend this book even if his situation doesn’t fully pertain to what your experiencing but there is quite a bit you could relate too.

Nothing new. This book talks about how different his story is, even with his short lived therapy but then uses the exact same techniques as therapists, even down to distorted negative thinking.

Excellent. Great read! Thoroughly enjoyed all the examples and real life experiences. Love how the author repeated certain statements so the reader can keep drilling this into their head. I loved it!

One star!!!!. I read this book and in the beginning I actually agreed with some of the coping mechanisms but as I read on, I almost burst out in laughter like seriously? I wouldn’t recommend!

Lacks. Extremely short book, doesn’t dive deep into the root of a problem. The book feels more like a biography of a personal matter. Taking it as a lesson learned, free book no substance.

Great read. Great advise, brilliant book however I gave it 4 stars as I feel there should have been a lot more pages ( with examples) Overall brilliant read, and teaches a lot about what to do during an anxious moment

OMG Amazing. I have been holding off meeting my boyfriends family for 10 months now as I thought everything would go wrong and I had panic attacks when he suggested it for the whole 10 months! But I have read up to page 36 of this book and feel this has already helped me. I had to take a birthday cake to his today and instead of giving him the cake and running like a normally would, I told him to get someone else to come get the cake as he would drop it and I actually spoke and met his step mum! I can’t believe I did it and I don’t think I would have without this book! Thank you so much
