Tying up loose ends. Overall, the series was amazing. Very well written and complex, diving deeper into certain events and ideas with each book. It did, however, lose some of the depth in this final book as it seems like more of a collection of shorter stories or essays. While it did bring about a satisfactory end to this multi-book conflict, it did seem to happen much faster than many of the less serious events of the series, almost as if it was rushed or simply was written to wrap things up quickly. While I did enjoy it, I can’t help but wonder how it would have gone if Scalzi had put in the same effort as he had with the earlier books. Overall, though, I was very happy with the series and this last book does bring everything to a nice close.

Wow, terrific read. Stumbled on this after not enjoying the old men's war very much. This is so much better. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
