Very good!. I very much enjoyed it. It is a lovely representation that love does not come to everyone the same way and that when it does come to you your life changes. Also I do think their relationship was a good representation of how to be mature enough to overcome the differences as a couple.

Another great Bridgeton story!. An enjoyable read start to finish.

Hmmm. I truly love Penelope but god Colin falling in love is entertaining as watching wet paint without Pen and Lady D . There would be no story .

Very Sweet and Romantic Book. Just finished this book and I must say it was very good. I really enjoyed the love story of Penelope and Colin. Hopefully this will be the subject of a season of Netflix’s Bridgerton really soon!

My favorite so far in the series I love Colin and Penelope’s relationship(even though it took him so long to realize that they are perfect for each other) I also like how this book shows how close the siblings are and how much respect and rely on each other 💓💓💓 Perfect to the end! 10/10

loved the book, don’t listen to the hateful ppl in the comments!. It was absolutely beautiful & I cannot wait to see it acted out on screen!! It had me on the tip of my toes with excitement. I finished the book in one day that’s how much I enjoyed it! Also screw the people in the comments who keep trying to bring down the author just because the want to d i c k ride Shonda, yea they’re both good & they both deserve massive respect & credit. Just because you like one over the other does not mean you have to be a c u n t.

Quite fun!. I enjoyed this book as much as the last 3. The author has really taken the time to build the world for me and I find myself rather obsessed with all the little details. I love when a book has continuity and I can recall a certain thing from a previous book that shows up in a new one. A wonderful love story that I could connect with and really enjoy. Onto the next!

Favorite Regency romance! ❤️. This book is filled with so many adorable polin moments & there love and build up is so exciting & pure. It’s such a truly beautiful love story. Also,pen is a bada$$ & Colin is obsessed with her lol <3

It’s okay.. I read this book a significant time after I had read the first three books in the series… so my opinion might not be accurate… but this book annoyed me. The title suggests that Penelope actively “romanced” Colin but really he just suddenly saw her personality and beauty one day. There was no active drawing him to her. Besides this, the thing that truly annoyed me while reading this book is the constant change of POV without breaks in the page. I would say that most of the book is like this, until maybe the last few chapters. You could be reading as Penelope AND suddenly it changes to Colin’s perspective. As I mentioned, I read this book a long while after I read the other three, so I don’t remember if they had a similar problem… though I doubt it. I really think this book suffered a little from poor editing or in the very least page breaks when changing POVs. I think the story was okay, nothing spectacular compared to “The Viscount Who Loved Me”

My favorite so far. She captured the essence of a friendship becoming romantic. The way the author has Colin turn his view on Pen from friend to lover was perfect. It took time, yes, but the build up was immaculate. Had me cheering for them in the end. True his character is a bit one sided, when he fell for her he fell hard,and let’s be honest, Penelope deserved to be worshiped in the end. So far, this one is my favorite.

Amazing, Outstanding and Raw!!!!. The way Julia Quinn writes this and makes it so you’re almost in the room is amazing. I loved this book and look forward to reading the others!

Too much male dominance. Men are too men. The author should understand that though it written in backdrop of older days, still she is modern day writer. So please no need to be all protective men all the time. Colin was mad cause why Pelelope came half a London by herself! This is insane. Even Jane Austen’s men were not soooooo protective about women. Here all what men can do is protect 🙄🙄

The best!. While I’ve now just completed this fourth book in the series I must say this is my favorite thus far!

Loved as much as the others. I love how all of the stories fit together. This one is as good as the last three. I can’t stop reading them. Any bit of free time I have is devoted to this series. You will not be disappointed.

Romancing Mister Bridgerton. I enjoyed this novel although it dragged on in the first half of the book. The second half was far more interesting and enjoyable unlike the previous Julia Quinn novels that captured your attention right away. In all, it was an enjoyable story of friendship, love and discovery.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Another amazing book! This time we get to see two people that we knew finally come together and get the story they deserve. I like that it is somewhat different from the other books.

More than a Romance. Perfect mix of passionate and sweet, with a couple who make each other better and stronger. Even with the regency setting it’s relatable with topics like self-worth, living up to your potential, and true inner confidence vs false outward confidence. Favorite of the series.

Mediocre at best. This novel was poorly written with very abrupt and clunky character development. This author should be thrilled that Shonda got ahold of her stories because she took them from bland and unbelievable to sultry and interesting. There are also quite a few problematic themes in these books, which the author just lets happen because it’s easier than taking the time to thoroughly develop the characters. I was so looking forward to this book but it was a major let down. 2/5 at best.

Couldn’t put it down. Sooo good

Not as good as 1-3. The relationship in this story didn’t come as naturally as the others and was far less believable. Penelope’s character was a bit too infatuated and when they fell in love seem unconvincing and a bit boring. It might be closer to a “real life” scenario but that’s not why I read books. I found Penelope to be annoyingly pathetic. The least entertaining book so far...

Wow!. It’s Colin Bridgerton’s turn to find love and she’s been hiding in plain sight for a while. There are so many surprises in this one, and delightful ones at that.

Well done!. Totally enjoyed the brining of two beloved characters together. I was transported in time with every twist and turn.

Favorite JQ book. This was my first Julia Quinn book and I loved it! Her cleaver writing and beautiful family storyline made me a fan!

Not for me. The last 100 or so pages of this book are the only thing worth reading. It was well written but the story itself was mostly upsetting tbh. I felt so bad for Penelope for most of the book and the ending imo didn’t really make up for how worthless he seemed to view her as in the beginning 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bridgerton. Great book

Enchanting. I was very curious how Collin was going to turn his friendship with Penelope into a romance. Brilliantly the author conveyed such detail I almost felt like I was Eloise myself watching the whole thing unfold.

Couldn’t stop. Every time I think I read the best of the series I find that I am mistaken. Colin and Penelope’s sweet love story was so intriguing I couldn’t stop reading which resulted in my being up until 4:30a.m. It was Will worth it. So now I’ll take a much needing nap

READ IT OR BE DOOMED!. Honestly going into this was a roller coaster ride. I was expecting many things because of the different reviews I read about the book. Truth be told I only read the book because of the Bridgerton show on Netflix, and I ADORED IT! Many people, I read, had a problem with Colin always making Pen seem lower then him, by mentioning he shouldn’t feel this way about Penelope because well she’s Penelope, (his words not mine) but honestly it never felt like that. He did mention the feelings he had for her were confusing because it’s Pen, but I felt he always mentioned her as just Pen because he saw her as a sister like Eloise because she was always there. The other issue most people had was them thinking Colin only liked Penelope after she lost some weight this is also false. She did lose weight but quite literally it wasn’t enough to be counted as a skinny woman, she even proclaimed it herself, Colin in the book does truly fall in love with Penelope, and does not do so because of her small weight loss, but rather her humor, and personality that he just so happened to see, after years of knowing each other. This book is one of my favorites that I read and honestly I recommend anyone to read it for fun, or love over the show. Do keep in mind the books are quite different from the show though. The only complaint I have over this book is that I wished Penelope and Colin had more actually heart to heart times that didn’t evolve them wanting to or were literally about to do sexual acts. Most of the time their conversation were nice and humorous, but it seemed to me every time they were speaking of serious issues they couldn’t keep their hands to themselves, which is totally fine and even made the chapters more interesting, but I wanted more drama and desire to have a one on one with troubling issues that could only be solved if they pushed their egos’ to the side and spoke to one another. Although, it is quite entertaining reading Colin flirt with Pen all the time, and in all honesty the books is a great one that one must pick up at least once!

Enjoyed reading this. I live everything about this book and exited to see how they portray this in the show.

My Favourite. I love this Book so much… I know a lot of people are 50/50 on the book, Because of the how much Lady W takes up the book but I personally enjoyed it and thought it was very well written. L.W. Is such a big part of Penelope’s character,I think it was imperative to understand her a little bit more. This book is so perfectly written I think it differs from the other book couples as well as the show because the others happen so quick. Where it mostly just tries to emulate passion but it this book you see a true friendship develop into a sweet Romance. Enjoy.

My favourite of the series. This one is my favourite of the series so far. I’ve had a soft spot for Penelope since book 1 and am so happy to get her story. It’s witty and sweet and I loved her relationship with Lady Danbury. Fantastic read

The most boring of the 1st four. This books seemed more about identifying Lady Whistledown. I was bored to death. Even in fictional world how could a 17 year old, presumably dumb, shy, scared little girl of the ton be Lady Whistledown. The more I read about Lady Whistledown the more annoyed I was. Penelope & Colin seemed to be forced to fall in love. Like the author was running out of characters to pair.
