A beautiful, brutal book. Brutiful. Yancey unpackages deep human emotion and how faith can survive it.
Disappointed in God (Yancy). At times I both loved and hated the book. In the end I felt connected for the first time in a very long time. The book does not make all the doubts and questions go away. The book provides a real and honest look at what many feel and the real pain it causes. It made realize that I was part of a myriad of people searching for a way to live with disappointment with God and still love and follow Him. It helps to see past our great christian facade.
