William Bonin: One of a trio of deadly psychopaths who trawled the freeways of Southern California during the late 70's and early 80's. Bonin was a depraved child killer who abducted, raped and tortured more than 20 teenaged boys.

The Boston Strangler: Albert De Salvo took the fall but most experts agree that he was not the Strangler. So who was the real killer? And how did he get away with the series of brutal murders that so terrified the citizens of Boston?

Ted Bundy: Charming, intelligent and lethal, Bundy is America's most notorious serial killer, a deadly fiend who cut a swathe of destruction across the country, raping, killing and committing necrophilia on his young victims.

Dean Corll: Along with two willing teenaged accomplices, Corll orchestrated what was at the time the biggest murder spree in American history, raping torturing and killing at least 25 young boys.

Jeffrey Dahmer: Hideously depraved killer who preyed on young homosexual men in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, cannibalizing them and conducting bizarre experiments on their bodies.

Albert Fish: He looked like a frail old man, but Albert Fish was actually a psychotic child killer and torturer, with a taste for human flesh.

John Wayne Gacy: Cold-hearted killer who raped, tortured and strangled at least 33 young men, burying their bodies in the crawlspace of his Chicago house.

Randy Kraft: The least well known of California's three "Freeway Killers." And yet Kraft was both the most prolific and the most depraved, responsible for the torture killings of as many as 67 young men.

Dennis Rader: Known as the "BTK Killer" (after his M.O.: Bind, Torture, Kill) Radar held the citizens of Wichita, Kansas in a state of fear for over 30 years, during which time he claimed 10 known victims.

Richard Ramirez: A satanic burglar who went by the terrifying sobriquet, "The Night Stalker," Ramirez raped, battered, shot and stabbed his victims during a bloody reign of terror in 1980's Los Angeles.

Gary Ridgeway: As the horrific "Green River Killer," Ridgeway engaged the Washington police in a deadly game of cat and mouse, claiming more that 60 victims over two decades.

Good Book. Pretty good book to read. Very interesting

Cool. Boring! “there is no interest in the book “

Serial killers. This book was hard to put down, very informational and also hard to read due to the violence of course; but it was a great read!

The Deadly Dozen. I like the book it does make sense.

Interesting read. It took me a while to finally read the whole book. I read a killer at a time. But having read it all I would say this was a very interesting book. I would recommend it to anyone interested in this subject.

Amazing. Probably the best book I've ever read.

Why change a victim's name?. This was a very interesting book. I was just curious why the author used the name "Angela Barrios" as the victim who survived when her keys deflected the bullet shot at her head by Richard Ramirez. In a March 12, 1986 LA Times article about his trial, it recounts the testimony of Maria Hernandez, identifying Ramirez as the man who shot at her and killed her roommate, Dayle Okazaki. If it was an attempt to protect the victim, it was unnecessary, given that she was identified when she testified. If it was an error, it makes me wonder what other errors may have been made. Overall, though, it seems to be accurate and a good read.

definitely a good read. if you want to learn about the top 12 worst killers, this is definitely the right book. If you are lighthearted, i wouldn’t recommend reading this. I’m pretty tough myself, and a few parts made me cry. I liked the way each chapter was designated to a specific killer, very well written.

Deadly Dozen Lives Up to Its Title. Author Robert Keller researched and compiled an impressive list of some of America's worst serial killers. Keller describes the murderers' victim list and goes into some detail of some of the specific cases. Additionally, the author provides biographical details about most of the killers. This book provides considerable insight into the level of depravity and violence which appeared to drive these 12 men to commit some of the most heinous crimes in modern US history.

Haven’t finished.. So since I haven’t finished, I don’t know what the hole book is like. I’m inspired by Criminal Minds to understand more about killers. Really love the info on Son of Sam. I’ve been trying to find a book that explains why he is so infamous. Bo, you delivered! He was a chilling man! Do you have any info on The Reaper or The Piano Man? Great book so far!

Horrible book. I read the first 3 pages and it was like a 6th grader wrote it it’s horrible would not recommend 🤮🤮
