The Lincoln Highway - A Comprehensive Summary Emmett stared out the window at the prairie, keeping his thoughts to himself. This year, what with your father’s passing, there will not be a harvest at all. Banker Emmett Ransom Obermeyer looked at his father’s estate with a mixture of skepticism and sympathy.
