Steven Robert Alten (nacido el 21 de agosto de 1959 en Filadelfia) es un escritor estadounidense de ciencia ficción. Es conocido por la serie de novelas Meg, basadas en supervivencia ficticia del megalodón, un tiburón gigante prehistórico.
