James Kelman Biografía y Hechos
James Kelman (Glasgow, 9 de junio de 1946) es un novelista, cuentista, dramaturgo y ensayista escocés. Su novela A Disaffection fue preseleccionada para el Booker Prize y ganó el James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction en 1989.[1] Kelman ganó el Booker Prize 1994 con How Late It Was, How Late. En 1998, Kelman recibió el premio Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland. Kelman ha sido un destacado activista, especialmente en cuestiones de justicia social y causas tradicionales de izquierda, aunque decididamente no es un partidario y sigue siendo en su corazón un anarquista socialista libertario, diciendo que "los partidos parlamentarios de oposición son esenciales para la política aparato de este país que está diseñado para arrestar a la justicia ".[8] En 1990 Kelman participó en una noche de lecturas internacionales en prosa en la novena Feria Internacional del Libro de Libros Radicales Negros y del Tercer Mundo, luego se unió al comité organizador de la Feria del Libro y estableció la Feria Escocesa del Libro de Libros Radicales Negros y del Tercer Mundo asociada, que se celebró en 1990.
