William James (Nueva York, 11 de enero de 1842-Nueva Hampshire, 26 de agosto de 1910) fue un filósofo y psicólogo estadounidense con una larga y brillante carrera en la Universidad de Harvard, donde fue profesor de psicología, así como fundador de la psicología funcional.
