Hot read. This was a great read. With a hospital romance there always has intrigue and hot sex going on. Lauren Hawkeye wrote a great story that keeps you never wanting to put down the book and with scorching scenes. Ace and Piper are trying to "help"each other but realize that there is chemistry between them. Can they just get the chemistry out of their systems or are they meant for each other. This was a wonderful story

Lauren Hawkeye, let me just first say I love you. ♥ You are on my list of favorite knotty authors and I always know I'm going to get lost in a good story be it novella or full length. And not only did you write about my most favorite subject...Dominant men, you took it one further and made him a doctor. Nothing like a kinky alpha medical professional to get MY pulse jumping. Piper Dawson is doing her residency at Hampton General in the emergency department. She loves her job, with one minor exception, her boss. Dr Alexander "Ace" Lennox doesn't seem to like her very much. He's the most anal-retentive jerk she's ever met, and to make matters worse, she always putting her foot in her mouth with him. Even when she tries to do something nice like buy him his favorite Cokes, he still finds a reason to snipe at her. She's sitting in Score, the sports bar across from the hospital when HE walks in with his mother. Her plan to make a quiet escape is thwarted when the doctor who dated her then cheated on her and has been making her life hell since she's dumped him, makes his way over to her to start trouble. She scoots in with Ace and hopes he plays along. Once Ace sees that it's Dr Alvarado, he puts his arm around her and wards him off. After dealing with Ace's snotty mother treating her with disdain, she's invited to dinner as his girlfriend. Later that night, they have some hot not-so-vanilla sex and agree that it's a one night only deal. Ace was previously married, and after his wife died, he swore there would never be another. But a resident who's quirky with blue streaks in her blonde hair and brings him a coke when he's thirsty may just be the one to change all that. This is the third book in the Pulse series, and true to my form lately, I'm coming in on book 3. Which means that I have Engaging the Bachelor by Cathryn Fox and Seducing the Boss by Mari Carr to read and review as well. Which just brings my inner Snoopy out to dance. Brazen couldn't have picked a better threesome for this series! I hope there will be more. As a former Registered Nurse, (I'm now disabled) I love medical stories. And this one was wonderful!

Hot! Hot! Hot!. Fantastic, this was one delicious, tantalizing sizzling, enemies to lovers romance, from cover to cover. The Heat is on so get ready to have your libido kicked into overdrive with this read. You will not want to put it down. This was entertaining and fun and incredibly hot. Piper and Ace have an insatiable heat and chemistry between the two and it is explosive. I loved Pipers confidence, strength and style. She might have innocence embedded into her skin but she is the sexiest woman he had ever seen. Ace is the total package, he is powerful and commanding in a subtle but strong way, and I loved it when he got his alpha male on. Their connection was electric. It was an excellent story of them coming together. It was definitely sizzling hot! There was a nice amount of drama and tension as well. I thought this was well written with a great story. Good build and pace. Loved it! Received a complimentary copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

She got more than she bargained for!. 4.5 Stars This fantastic story features Dr. Piper Dawson and Dr. Alexander "Ace" Lennox. He's a tough nut to crack. She only wanted to befriend him. Maybe get him to be a little less cranky. Whoa! She got more than she bargained for when he rescued her at a bar from unwanted attention from another man. Their agreement of short term "sex only" was great…at first. Well, we all know how that turns out. Except this author spins a delicious story around these two and the spark start flying! I love how Ace would always get angry with his mother whenever she'd say anything derogatory about Piper, even before he really got to know her. That's how a real man deals with a meddling mother. Great story with fabulous characters and scorching hot chemistry! I can't wait to read more from this amazing author.

ok read. Just an ok read for me. Definitely hot with sexy times galore but I thought it was a bit light on the story. The entire relationship between Ace and Piper is based on the physical aspects. I know the whole thing started as sex only but I didn't see the flip in emotions anywhere in the story so he left me thinking ....hmmm, when did that happen? It is a light sexy read though so if that's what your looking for this one will work.
