Great book, poor formatting. I’ve taught this book in paperback many times, so I wanted to download an electron a copy so I could also read it on my laptop. However, the formatting for this electronic version does not match the printed version and disrupts the reading experience. In the printed version, the artwork on two page spreads is important—you’re supposed to see the left (verso) and right (recto) pages together—but the two up format on the Books app shows instead a recto and a verso (a front and back, not left and right), so you never get to see the correct two-page spreads. For example, the half-page image of the mother and the tidal wave can’t be viewed beside the full-page images of the brothers going down two whirlpools. Unfortunately, I returned the book but would purchase it again if the formatting were fixed.
