Great financial book minus the religious stuff. I love mathematics, science, finance, psychology... Let's just say overall knowledge. This is a must read for financial geeks and those generally interested. Its source of greatness stems from a simple formula- turn a problematic whole, into smaller more manageable parts. Genius in its simplicity. The must-have psychological additive is hope, derived from two well known sources; 1) triumphant real life stories, and 2) religion. The book could have hit higher on the scale had religion been kept out of it. I found it curious that dave's advice oscillated from "use your common sense when taking financial advice from 'x'" and "listen and trust God." To me, it was as if he was saying to use common sense after you educate yourself in finance but divorce yourself of scientific knowledge and common sense when applying religion. Too inconsistent for me and almost hypocritical. He uses religion as a measuring stick when applying humanitarian uses to wealth. The humanitarian appeal sufficed my dear Dave. The financial advice for those of us not well versed in macro and micro economics was spot on. Anyone interested in paying down debt must arm themselves with his simple message. Anyone interested in my financial biometrics... 33 years old, debt free, $55,000 in 401k, 15% pretax into retirement, rent not own home, currently working on my emergency fund. Good luck everyone!! ;-)

Totally life changes.. I have read a plethora of books in my short life of twenty one years, but I must say this is the most helpful. Now that I have read this book, I'm am eager to get paid. I am eager to become debt free. I am eager to build wealth with my normal income and become a millionaire through investments. If you have the same aspirations, then this is definitely a must read for you! Now that I have read this book, I only read books to gain knowledge. Reading to gain knowledge has become my new hobby. This book will change your life.

Financial Freedom!. This book is incredible. I tore through it and was inspired to change my financial situation the second I finished. As someone with an MBA, I felt it should be much more complicated to win financially. It's not! This book walks you through the "Babysteps" and gives you a clear roadmap to get rid of debt, utilize your most important wealth building tool (your income), and start building wealth. This book also goes over insurance and other topics that are essential to getting and keeping your financial world intact. I started listening to the podcast, read this book, started using the Everydollar budgeting app when that was released, and now it is a way of life. You will find, if you are married, this will draw you closer to your spouse as you team up to envision, then work toward your goals. If you are looking for a way to turn around, simplify, or even fine tune your personal situation. Buy this book!

Amazing Book. For those of you seeking self help books on finances, this is that and more. Dave Ramsey takes a spiritual turn on money and makes it all make cents. Haha. Money pun. Anyways this not only helped my now 23 year old mind understand the green guys on the bills more and what they can do for me but also let me back to God, who I’d given up hope on for a little while. Great book.. I was 18 when I purchased this book. I did a full 360 with my finances. I paid off unwanted credit card debt, I am in college. I can budget and I'm able to save money. He speaks the truth.

Too Many Commercials. I purchased from Apple Books and with the layout, it felt like I spent every few pages reading testimonials; like being inundated with ads/commercials during a TV show - it affected the flow. I would rate higher if the testimonials were grouped together in an appendix or removed completely (with a link to read them online).

“Live like no one else, so later you can live like no one else.”. My father gave me the paper version of this book sometime last year. It’s full of steps on how to get out of debt, save money for rainy days, not make stupid purchases, and truly live like the king and queens we are. With the new year upon us, I plan to use as many of these tactics as possible moving forward. Thank you Dave!

Spiritual Wisdom.... This book has biblical principles, but more, it has simple common sense methods. Great read to become financially fit!

Great Book. This book was just amazing, opened my mind up so many things and just not only about money. This book covers so many different aspects that make so much sense just by reading it one time, it's definately not a get rich scheme but its definately a get rich scheme if your patient and smart with the money you make NOW! I am buying another of Dave's book because this one was purely incredible. Gave this book to my brother-in-law for christmas and he read it in 2 days and already has his budget set in for the new year.

Do not recommend!. Zero stars, did not like! His theory is over-simplified, and very little of the book is actual content. Most of it is pure filler to try to sell you on advice that is incomplete and full of holes!

A Book To Pass Down Each Generation!. Dave Ramsey allows you to face your financial mistakes and come to the reality of the poor choices you're making. His plan is simple, yet difficult. It's hard to live without all of the little things you want. However, you have to make those small sacrifices to accomplish GREAT things. Imagine a life with NO DEBT. Imagine a life with those endless opportunities and possibilities. Just takes seven baby steps!

Complete Game Changer!. This book is filled with amazing information to get you to live an amazing life. The fun part is that all of the information given to us is purely common sense. It's ridiculous how simple and obvious each of these chapters are.

This book is awesome!. I haven't read a book in so long But reading this up to the first 2 chapters got me hooked. Dave Ramsey does have a really good point of what life could be if you discipline yourself! If you want to be debt free and live with no worries I suggest you read this book!

It may be good for some. The book was not entirely what I was expecting. At times the book seems to be a selling book where the author tries to promote himself and his books. Other people’s experiences become too repetitive. If you need some basic guidance or perhaps a bit of motivation this book may help you.

Excellent Read. Great personal finance book, different to any I've read before (and I've read a few!) Liked all the personal stories. Very easy to understand, no hard jargon. Very inspiring!

After reading this, I believe it is one of the best, straight forward personal finance books out there. Great for anyone at any stage of life at any level of debt.
