Ethics by Benedictus de Spinoza Book Summary
Benedict de Spinoza (24 Nov 1632 – 21 Feb 1677) was a Dutch philosopher. He was claimed one of the great rationalist of the philosophy of XVII century and of the most important western philosophers of all. His most valuable and voluminous work is Ethics, that opposed dualism of mind and body. Spinoza had vary controversial view of divine, a thus was excluded from Jewish society. He was modest and moderate in his life and denied most honors and rewards.
Ethics is philosophical work by Benedict de Spinoza. It is a very complex opus divided in five parts, each devoted to a certain subject, from relationship between God and the universe and nature of human mind and body to aspects of the freedom of human beings. Spinoza’s unstoppable train of thought can help reach the answers, that mankind has been seeking for ages. But like any philosophical piece of work, this one can only show the door, it up to you to open it.
