Gave this book a try because it had pretty good reviews. But I was disappointed. It just seemed like a lot of unnecessary drama and moved too slow. There were also a lot of plot holes and not very much romance.

Repetitive. Could have cut down on the comparing her then vs her now….I know she has flashbacks to “then” but it’s overkill

Slow and kind of boring. I felt like this book dragged on a bit. The romance was super slow and lacked chemistry. The plot idea was great but it could have been developed better in my opinion.

Bad boy kian. Bad boy you can't stop falling in love with -- Tijan has it nailed. The story is a whirlwind of romantic suspense that leaves your heart racing and hairs standing on end. I though her other books were compelling. Damn Tijan's outdone herself. This book will leave you hungry for more.

Consuming. Loved this. Captivating, fully rounded story and characters. Really nicely written. I kept thinking about it throughout the day when I wasn’t reading it - always a good sign that a story has it’s hooks in me.

5 Solid Stars. I was hooked from the beginning. Got to say I'm an avid Tijan fan, and this book did not disappoint. The story follows Jo who was viciously attacked by her foster father, and Kian who saved her, by killing him, and the fallout caused by the press and public. I fell in love with Jo from the get go, it did however, take me a while to figure out the relationship between Jo and Kian. I had so many different scenarios in my head at one point. Is Jo scared of Kian? Is Kian a danger to Jo? What is Kian's MO? Dual POV is my favourite, so I was happy to see Kian's POV in there from time to time. I found the additional characters and side stories only served to enhance the intrigue, lies, and deceit in this fantastic read. Highly recommend.

What a ride. Love Kian and Jo he would do anything to protect her even go to prison. Will he follow through or does he have his own agenda now he's out?

Great Read. The stars don’t match this one - one of the last of Tijan’s to buy for me because the ratings are slightly lower. Not warranted at all - there were no slow parts whatsoever and the end didn’t drag on. A really good read!

Claypot2850. I am a huge fan of Tijan's books and this one didn't disappoint. Loved the storyline - different to her other books. The characters were well developed and the chemistry was smoking. Rad it in one sitting and was sad when it ended.

Hmm 🤔. So I love Tijan I just want to say that . But this is the first book of hers that I didn’t like . The first half of the book is very .. fluffy ... the same thing over and over (jo bouncing back and forth in her thoughts) and we didn’t really meet kian until after then and even then it took a long time to know who he was or what he was about ... and jo kept bouncing back and forth and the story didn’t really Go anywhere ... there wasn’t a great deal of depth to the characters throughout .. there could have been a lot more . It felt it would have been much better to have met kian earlier and seen how he had searched for her and gone through those emotions with her . In comparison to Tijans others books I’ve read and loved this one felt rushed and not well thought out . And like there was a grab at words to fluff out the story to make it longer ... I still love Tijan and I can’t wait to read her other work . 😊

Finally! Some originality!!. It’s been a long time since I have read one of Tijian’s books and for sure will do so more frequently. Too many writers are just phoning it in and this storyline seemed freak. Getting a little sick of the same ol’ same ol’. I enjoyed the plot with its red herrings and liked the characters, enjoyable read!

Looooooved!. I always always love Tijans books. Her writing just draws you in. I loved Kian, I loved how much he loved Jordan, how he always wanted to protect her, he is sooo hooooot❤️❤️ this in one of my favs by her, but I’ve read them all so this was a re-read. I’ll probably read it more. If anyone wants to read a good book read this one!
