Book 1 Description

There are quite a few advantages to having dark skin. The most important one is that when you blush it doesn’t show.  That cute guy on the third row has been looking at me intensely all week and I’ve got to say I’m enjoying the attention. In fact, I bend over a little so he can catch a glimpse of my cleavage. If he keeps staring at me like this I’m going to have to go over there introduce myself because I can tell he’s probably too shy to talk to me. I chuckle a little. Of course I won’t do that; Tyrone would be pissed.

Yes, I have a boyfriend. We have been together for about 18 months and it’s going well. I’m not sure if I’m in love with him, but I wouldn’t know because I’ve not had a lot of experience with men. After the incident with the Carolina Herrera text message that was actually from Clarice Henry, Tyrone and I ended our relationship. Well I ended it. I walked out on him and went back to my old apartment. Marlene just hugged me tight when I got there with my tear-stained face dragging my suitcases.

Book 3 Description

They say that life is like a road trip; you can either travel alone or you can get a few others to travel with you. You need to be really careful whom you let into your vehicle, though, because these people are going to be sitting very close to you and you’re going to be influenced by their attitudes and their choices.

I don’t know for how long I sit on the bathroom floor and cry. I faintly remember hearing Tyrone knocking and asking me to open up the door. Then he went away and I must have fallen asleep because when I come to my senses it’s after midnight. I’m in a daze for a while as I try to remember why I’m lying on the cold bathroom floor. Then it all comes rushing back like an avalanche of shit.
